    AVOID This Property!!!

The grounds to the property is probably the best on the island but the price gouging, the staff the service and the beach and pool experience which is why you go to Aruba and on vacation is the worst experience. Impossible to get chairs or lounges and everyone working at the hotel is either stuck up or hate there job since this property was recent sold and purchased by new owners!!! Lot of competitors that are cheaper and just as nice avoid the HYATT name at this destination.

    Hotel great/beach a little disappointing

First time in Aruba. The Hyatt was beautiful, as were the grounds. The location was great. Safe. Walking distance to a lot of restaurants. Regarding the room,I was concerned about not selecting a room with a full balcony- but it ended up being a non issue. We had a great view of the adult pool/ocean. Employees were friendly. Drinks were a little pricey but it seemed to be the norm compared with nearby restaurants. Negatives regarding the beach/pool: The beach can get crowded and the palapas are very close together- which I didn’t like. I’m not sure if it’s the same for every hotel. There are complimentary palapas but there is a fee for the ones with a better location /better view. Highly advise going onto Hyatt’s website (which can be done 4 months prior to arrival )to reserve seating by the pool or on the beach .. otherwise it’s first come first serve depending upon what’s available. And be prepared to pay a fee for the better location/better view especially on the beach! We splurged for a beach palapa in the front on our last day there and unfortunately the group next to -as well as behind us -were blasting loud (& sometimes inappropriate)music which was very annoying. It would be nice if there were signs posted advising patrons to be respectful of the people around them. And FYI regarding paying for the front palapa..it is a public beach so anyone can setup shop right in front of you (which happened to us)Something to consider if on a budget, might not be worth the extra cost! We did reserve a complimentary palapa one day and although it was in the back with a partial ocean view-it honestly wasn’t that bad. Regarding the reservations by the adult pool-my family was a party of three (all adults)and the only option available by the adult pool is an umbrella with 2 lounge chairs. there is no option to add a third lounger when making the reservation in advance. My husband had to sit in a regular chair until an extra lounger became available. Meanwhile the daybeds that cost $75/day were mainly empty. Hyatt might want to invest in additional lounge chairs! All in all- I would probably stay here again- just wasn’t a fan of the crowded beach area and the extra fees to reserve a good spot on the beach. Ps: beware of the iguanas- lots in pool area and they will jump onto your lounge chair!!!

The Hyatt is a beautiful and amazing resort, and we will stay there again!

We visited the Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort and Casino during the week of June 8-15, 2024. Overall, exceptional—5 stars! We will definitely stay there again in the future. On our past three trips to Aruba, we stayed at the Hilton (which was the Radisson on our first trip), but the Hilton was under renovation. I'm so glad we decided to stay at the Hyatt! It's an amazing resort and perfect for a family-friendly vacation. My son loved the waterslide, and I enjoyed the swim-up bar option. The grounds were immaculate. The three exotic birds on the property became like family to us during the week; we already miss Bibi, ChiChi, and Rocky. The wildlife caretaker, Giovanny, is an incredible person who offers informative tours and a chance to feed the animals, engaging both kids and adults. He greeted us every day and treated us like family. The concierge desk was also very helpful. A few small recommendations to the Hyatt for possible improvements would be regarding the staff hospitality at the pool bar. I only went to the swim-up pool bar twice because I did not feel welcome at all. In fact, it felt like they didn't want the business. One bartender thought he was being funny by making odd comments about the drink I ordered, but it just changed my mind about using the swim-up bar for the rest of the week. No biggie, there are many other places to get a wonderful beverage! Also, the pool chair/umbrella system can be unorganized chaos. They want you to pick your chairs on the app, but we found it impossible to find chairs available. This forces you to still go to the "chair rental hut" to have someone look it up and find chairs for you. That worked out fine eventually, but it’s not a great system. The palapa huts were also booked on the app, which was a bit easier, but only a few of the palapas are complimentary, and they are the huts in the far back. You could pay high rates to get a palapa closer to the water, but we were okay with the free huts, which still had a water view. This system can also be confusing and frustrating. These were minor concerns. Overall, the Hyatt is a beautiful and amazing resort, and we will stay there again! Sincerely, Angie, Dan, and Lucas Natale Manassas, VA
