May 25, 2025Beautiful Resort, Great Experience!!
We rented a 3 bedroom apartment at Grand Windsock in May for one week. The price was very reasonable and the apartment looked brand new - just like the photos! It had a full modern kitchen with everything we needed to cook / make coffee etc.. There are European plugs (which we didn't know) but the hotel provided us with converters so that we could charge our US phones and electronics. It had a huge terrace with fans, a sectional couch, lounge chairs, and a full size table for eating outside. There were fans in every room and air conditioning in all the bedrooms. The beds / pillows were very comfortable and it was very quiet (we never heard any of the other guests in the apartments above and next to us). We were extremely comfortable during our stay! All the employees were super friendly and helpful!! The Windsock Ocean club across the street had easy access to the ocean and plenty of lounge chairs for guests to use. The food and drinks at the ocean club were good, but compared to all the other restaurants we ate at during our stay in Bonaire, it seemed overpriced and the service was very slow. But if you want easy access to the ocean for swimming or snorkeling it may be worth paying more for your food/drinks. The ocean was clear and beautiful and full of sea life - great for snorkeling or diving! We came to snorkel and scuba dive so this was a big plus! If you want to snorkel or scuba dive the WannaBe dive shop is conveniently located right on the property for renting equipment or booking dives. Overall we had a great experience at the Windsock apartments and we would definitely book at this resort again!

We will be back!
Great resort! Will definitely stay here again. We opted for Villa 13 -- a two-bedroom garden villa (without private pool). The villa was nice, clean, spacious, stocked with dishes, and very private. All appliances functioned properly, but ask the front desk for user manuals if not in the villa. The main pool area was large, comfortable and clean. Towel exchange was super easy. Staff was kind and helpful. Rental car was arranged through the resort and the process was seamless. Convenient access to the ocean for snorkeling, diving or swimming. Night snorkeling in this area is one of the best. We saw several octopus, many eels, tarpon, loggerhead turtles, Spanish lobster, eagle rays, stonefish, pufferfish, margate, crab, trunkfish, filefish, tripodfish, sandiver, soapfish, spotted drum, grouper, and many more.

Beautiful property, helpful staff during challenging issue
This review is mainly to praise Marjorie and Roy for doing the right thing. My wife and I had booked a long stay at the Grand Windsock, but after one day I was having severe sensitivities to VOCs in our unit and became massively sick. After a lot of back and forth, Marjorie and Roy came by to investigate. At first they were both very skeptical, but after showing them my VOC meter and allowing them to do their own tests they acknowledged the situation and allowed us out of the 11 day booking. I am grateful that they were willing to investigate and work with us. They could have been greedy and refused the refund, but they showed humanity and compassion and acknowledged the situation. Kudos to the Grand Windsock for having employees such as Marjorie and Roy, and empowering them to make decisions such as these.

Home but away from home
We had a villa with pool. It was a smooth check in. Every little detail.! Ryan was such a great help. To what can we do and what we should take in to considaration. The rooms were very cozy. My kids could enjoy there pool. We had our privacy. Very secure door closes between 6 and 7 so safety is a for sure.!

Great place for divers to stay in luxury and comfort.
We booked a two bedroom villa for our nine day trip. The villa was spectacular! It was very spacious, had a full sized kitchen including the most modern appliances (had to read the instructions on how to use the induction stove). The bedroom was very comfortable; the shower was nice as well. My favorite part, however, was the personal pool. I love getting in the pool after a day of diving. And the villa is designed for divers including our own private rinse tank, hangers and rail to hang wetsuits and BC’s, and our own private parking space for our truck. We would love to stay there again on our next visit to Bonaire.
