    met and exceeded my expectations

All the staff were friendly and helpful. There are too many to name. Hugo, one of the entertainment coordinators, was helpful, informative and fun. We enjoyed the table cloth dinner on the beach, as we watched the sunset. I was impressed with the live music and Karaoke night. The entertainment was fun for all ages. I enjoyed the 18 kilometre bike ride with the guests from the hotel. I rode almost everyday of my stay. Book early, as it is popular. The Sunwing representatives were informative and helpful. I look forward to returning to the Holiday Inn Ixtapa.

    Customer Service is Amazing

This was our second time at the Holiday Inn. The beach is amazing and Carlos is the very best beach waiter you will ever meet. The food is good enough so you can find something to eat every day. The bike rides are very fun. We had a tragedy at home that caused us to cut our vacation short and Isaisis (I may have misspelled that) at the front desk was more than helpful to try and help us find a flight home. I had dealt with him on much smaller matters, like my keycard not working, and he had always been more than friendly. The people who work here are not just employees of this resort, they tirelessly go out of their way to make you, the guest, feel like family and that you matter. That is what truly sets this place apart from any other we have been to.

    Great place still

Little longer flight than PV. The place is very clean we had a garden view which was nice room 3177 nice and quiet at night to sit outside if you want. The food was very good. The snack bar was very good. The lacart is a little different only offer a few things on the menu and want you to pay for anything off if that's not the two choices . THE shopping is fun right across the street . Go to Frank's the food is awesome not a bad price have the pizza it's awesome. PEOPLE were very freindly in the shops as flee markets there not to pushy . The Beach is awesome nice walk of one end to the other in the morning sand get crazy hot by mid afternoon watch your feet. Entertainment was OK at night . The pool entertainment was fun during g the day. It stays a lot warmer during the night there than PV or Cacun . There wasn't many kids there during are stay which was nice . THey put on a huge party in the front on the Saturday night was a blast.

Used to be a top hotel, now it feels below average

I know this hotel from many years ago, it was called Presidente Intercontinental, now it's owned by holiday inn, and it shows. The food quality is not really good, the fish tastes like its been frozen for so long, the variety and taste is average, every saturday they make a mexican fiesta and it's a big deal where food is not as good as the ambiance and the show. As for activities, they used to have more and better shows, there's an activity room for teenagers with only a foosball and a pool table work properly, , they dont even have a ping pong ball for its table to be useful. same with the poll lounge chairs, they don¿t have enough, so people rush in the morning and reserve them with towels or clothes. it's an awful situation to deal with that. It seems like a good hotel but there are so man details to say otherwise such as having ants in the bathroom, elevators with no A/C, humid smell in the bathrooms, we even spoted blood stains in the hall of our floor and it took them some days to wash that off. Ths staff are mostly nice and quick to attend with a smile, but it's uncomfotable to listen to their suggestions to tip them, from the lady in the parking lot as we arrived, to the fellow fixing the broken safe in the room and some waiters who only appear as you finish every meal. I saw old people working there and they were the most respectful in that sense. Bravo for them. I would definitly go back to this hotel cause it has good things li ke the beach, the view, the drinks and the location, but i'd like to see it as good as it used to be.

    Good stay

Typical , busy resort with good & varied enough food for a week's stay. Fast check-in and easy check-out (12pm sharp). Pros: awesome beach & friendly service. Cons: Pools are definetely too small, entertainment below par. Room tip: the #2000s block was very quiet. Airport tip: no food to buy after the security. You can only get water, potato chips/nuts and ice cream (actually good) there. The departures area in not air-conditioned.
