    Unpleasant Stay and Poor Service

My experience at this property was deeply disappointing. From the start, the room had a strong musty odor, and there was visible mildew on the walls—both of which raised serious concerns about cleanliness and maintenance. The conditions made the space feel uncomfortable and uninviting, and it was clear that proper care had been neglected. In addition to the poor room quality, several requests I made in advance for a welcome banner were completely ignored. I followed up multiple times, but the issue was never acknowledged or addressed. This lack of follow-through showed a clear disregard for guest experience and left a negative impression overall. Between the unacceptable condition of the room and the failure to meet even simple guest requests, I cannot recommend this property. I would strongly advise others to consider alternative accommodations.

    A disappointing stay.

The setting of Dreams Playa Bonita is truly beautiful and offers a stunning environment. However, we find that this potential is not fully realized by the current infrastructure. Since the acquisition by the Hyatt brand, the property unfortunately does not meet the luxury standards expected of a 5 star hotel. Our stay was in July 2025. Overall cleanliness is good, thanks to the housekeeping staff who work hard to maintain clean rooms. However, maintenance is often lacking, which forces a compromise between cleanliness and unresolved repairs, negatively impacting guest comfort. Additionally, the rooms require significant renovations, especially regarding the shower joints and furniture. When it comes to dining, the variety of dishes is limited. The buffet, in particular, does not meet expected standards. While the lunch service staff may be somewhat slow at times, they generally demonstrate more experience and professionalism than the dinner service team. The à la carte restaurants are decent, but the wait times are too long, and the managers sometimes lack maturity and professionalism, which affects the overall atmosphere. On the other hand, we would like to commend the bar staff, who consistently display great professionalism and a strong command of their roles. Their attitude should serve as an example for other teams. We are a group of about fifteen guests sharing this disappointment, and we are considering sending a letter to Hyatt to express our dissatisfaction regarding the services mentioned. It is essential to invest in renovations, train staff properly, or hire qualified personnel to meet the expectations of a hotel in this category. We do not question the commitment of the employees, but the inconsistency between departments is noticeable. We sincerely hope that these comments will be taken into account in order to improve the guest experience and enhance the value of this exceptional location.

Beautiful Setting, But Disappointing in Key Areas

We stayed at Dreams Playa Bonita Panama from July 4 to July 8, and while the resort has a gorgeous beachfront location and lovely scenery, several aspects of the experience left much to be desired. We booked the Preferred Club, but it was honestly not worth the extra cost. The added amenities were minimal and didn’t justify the upgrade. If you're considering it, I’d recommend saving your money and sticking with the standard booking. The adult pool area was very quiet—almost too quiet. There was no background music or vibe, which made it feel a bit dull. A little energy or soft music would have helped set the tone for a relaxing yet enjoyable experience. The lunch buffet was another letdown. The food quality was underwhelming, and the selection lacked variety. Definitely an area that needs improvement. There was minimal recreation or organized activities during the day, which made things feel slow. However, the resort did SOME nightly live shows, which were a nice touch and helped fill the evenings with some entertainment, but is not every night, some nights we ended up going to bed because the bar was dead and there was nothing to do. Overall, the views and potential are there, but the resort needs to step up its food, entertainment, and Preferred Club value to really compete with other all-inclusives.

    Motel 6 all inclusive

The rooms weren't clean. The preferred club rooms are basic hotel rooms. No robes, slippers. Towels upon request. The food is a 4/10. The preferred club bar tenders were great! Shoutout to Nick!!!! The people are very friendly. The grounds are very well kept. There is a sloth family of premises, William took us to visit, loved it! Thank you William! The pools close at 7p, including the adult only preferred club pools. There reasoning was it's dark at that time. We were eaten alive the second to last night, by unknown bugs. I'm not sure if it was the native mosquitos or bed mites. We kept looking in our bed, but never saw anything. My daughter didn't get eaten by them so truly baffling. My hunni had to go to the Dr upon arrival back into the states it was so bad. The housekeeper left our room open after cleaning, for an entire day. Anyone could've walked in and taken anything. When we complained, we just got an OKAY. We had discussions with the UVC staff in reference to the conditions of the room, not being able to access our room until after 5p, arrived at 12:30p, they said they would take care of our concerns, but didn't. I would much rather stay at a hotel than return to Dreams. First visit to a Dreams property, likely my last.
