    Would recommend

    Staff very friendly, anxious to help, solved any problems quickly. Resort clean, quiet, nice beach, clean pool. Rooms comfortable, bathtub/shower worked fine and was clean but needs updating. Food delicious, small portions but you can order as much as you wish. Desserts not fabulous but fine. We didn’t have to wait more than five minutes for a table and like the no reservation plan. We will definitely return. Nice beach, no seaweed.

    Just Ok

    Was there in March 2020. I am 67 yrs old, bad knees, bad back. Everyone at the resorts is very friendly and accommodating. I arrived at 1:30 pm and didn't get to the room until 3:30 pm (sat in the lobby for 2 hrs). A lot of walking, the buffet is all the way at the end of the resort. A lot of stairs with no handrails. The Dive House for scuba diving was great, but the boat dock had 12-13 steps with no handrail, and you had to walk the beach to the next resort to get to it. The food is just ok, average. The beds are so hard I couldn't get to sleep. The bathrooms need to be updated. The drinks were good at the bars. I don't think I would go back.

    16th trip to this resort

    This was our 16th year of vacationing at this resort. Besides the beautiful scenery, scuba diving, and socializing with old and new friends, the most important reason we travel and stay at this resort is the wonderful employees who truly treat us like family year after year. Their warmth, kindness, compassion, willingness to do what it takes to make us feel comfortable and happy, keeps us returning year after year. And friends we bring have all begun to feel the same and return with us. I would like to name some of our most wonderful friends who effortlessly make us feel very special and welcome, (my spelling of names may be a little off and I apologize up front) Karina, Antonio, Juan Carlos, Randy, Pablo, Laura, Alfredo, Christel, Xavier, Mario, Wilberth, Rigo, Miguel Tec, Christen, Rodolfo, Justo, Josue, Luis & Alba Torres, Russel, Gloria, David, Salvador, Alphonso, Mercedes, Dolores, Rogelio, Freddy, Angel, and thank you to Virginia in reservations who works miracles for us each year. I feel I have left out several others that I do not remember names of but will never forget all faces. My heart is broken that you are currently closed and pray that you will open soon, safely, and everyone we know and have yet to meet will still be there for our next vacation to once again embrace us as Cozumel family.     Trip to Cozumel March 15 to 20, 2020

    I have been coming to Cozumel since 1986. I started staying at this property when it was the Reef Club many years ago. This was my 6th stay at this property. It's been 9 years since my last visit which was way too long, but I was amazed that some of the same staff were still there. Juan Carlo, who's the first one you see when you arrive, remembered me. I was floored! It was like a reunion of sorts during our stay. I would say that Sunscape has done a great job of bringing the property up a few notches. Our room was right on the Ocean, clean and comfortable. The cleaning staff was wonderful. My dive guy ScubaLuis (also excellete!) picked us up at the pier each morning at 7:45 sharp. It all worked out perfectly. Thank you my old and new friends at Sunscape Sabor. We will see you agin soon I hope.

    Inedible food, pretty property

    Let's start out with the positives. The landscaping is well maintained. If it wasn't for the sewage smell, it would be great to walk around. The concierges that we worked with (Diego and Eleazor) were great. The snorkeling right off the beach was fun and fairly decent. We booked two rooms at the resort. They had put us in different buildings. The front desk staff made no effort to try and get us together or seemed to care at all about the inconvience of this. One of the two rooms wasn't ready so they dumped all of our stuff into one of the rooms and then told us that they were too busy to help move the stuff to the other when it became available. In the first room the latch on the bathroom door was installed backwards such that you couldn't close the door. In the second room, the AC was leaking and there was water damage to the wall (though they did fix it). The real problem is the food. On the first night we went to the Mexican restaurant. I was served a steak that I am not sure was beef. On the second night we tried the Italian restaurant and I was served undercooked pasta. The buffet was not better as most things were over or under-cooked. We did have a decent meal on our last night at the American restaurant. They only offer free wifi in the lobby and it is limited to 1 hour per day. If you want wifi in your room it is $39/device. In this day and age this is completely unacceptable. We will not be returning to this resort ever again.
