Amazing holiday experience
From the first interaction with the front desk to arrange the catamaran transfer to our departure where the manager of the hotel saw us all off on our journey home this hotel is nothing but class. The staff are outstanding, each and every one of them, and we felt so fortunate to be able to experience such a high level of customer service in an absolutely beautiful location. Food was incredible, spa was lovely and we liked how the room felt like it was one of a kind. Top floor ocean front room with beautiful brick vaulted ceiling and stained glass features throughout. Just unique. We normally like to try different hotels on our holidays but this is a definite revisit and we are already looking forward to being able to do so. Thank you to everyone at Zoetry!
Lack luster experience
We were excited about spending a week at the Zoetry property at isle Mujeres. However we were very disappointed for what they charge. They provide a boat ride to the resort which is nice. The level of service is excellent and the food is awesome. The property is dated. Our room was pretty tired. The door wouldn’t lock from the balcony and the main door was easily opened. The mirror looked stained and rusted. The sinks just looked dirty. Old stains from years of abuse. They provide numerous channels to watch. However only one is in English. So the television experience was bad. The television is small. It is mounted on the wall and from the bed you have a poor angle and some 20 plus feet to watch only on English speaking channel at a weird angle. The property is small and there isn’t much to do. I was bored during our stay. The staff is outstanding. Super attentive to your needs. They have limited seating at the pools Food is outstanding. Staff is very friendly. The spa is excellent. The rooms and overall hotel is worn out. Mirrors, sinks, beds and everything about the rooms are plain tired. They offer a evening sunset cruise on their boat. Problem is that we asked and was put on the list by three of the staff. We went by the front desk and was to D it had left about 15 minutes ago. Frustrating is just part of the week. We have stayed at AMR resorts before. This one didn’t offer any usb plans to charge our phones. So bring your own. Other AMR provided sun block. Not here. Only $30 to buy some. We won’t be back here. Our safe is mounted to a shelf, but the shelf falls out of the dresser. So if anyone wanted access to the room pick a door and come on in. Then carry out the safe with the broken shelf and all. Be careful it doesn’t fall out when you open the dresser door and hurt your feet. Our room is dated and worn out. We have reading lights above our bed. Mine didn’t work. Needless to say. For what you pay and the level zoetry is rated at you will be disappointed.
You get what you pay for...
We have been to Villa Rolandi Isla Mujeres five times over the years. We were concerned the change to Zoetry ownership and the an all-inclusive model would be a negative. We have always loved the personal service we have had at Villa Rolandi and happily this has not changed. From the time you arrive until leaving the staff is totally attentive to your needs. The food and drinks are superior, The daily rate is somewhat steep but for what you get it is so worth it. See you next year!
I'll start by saying, my stay at the Zoetry Villa Rolandi was just what the doctor ordered. 2019 was a rough year for me. I wanted a place where I could chill out and just relax. To that end, my highest priority is having a great pool experience, which was accomplished. The pools and surrounding areas/grounds are beautiful, the pools are kept sparkling clean, drink and food service is friendly and efficient, and there were plenty of comfortable lounge chairs available. An A+ experience. The food at the resort was generally good. We ate breakfast and lunch at the main restaurant or at the pool every day. We went into town most nights for dinner. The taxis are cheap and we discovered some great places. For us, that was a lot of fun. However, there were plenty of guests who seemed quite happy eating all meals at the resort. The only complaint I had, were the rooms. In my opinion, they are in desperate need of renovation. Everyone I spoke to had one complaint or another about the condition of their room. Ultimately, it did not ruin my trip, but it was a struggle. I recommend Zoetry Villa Rolandi, it was a wonderful escape. In fact, I wish I was there right now! The one caveat is the condition of the rooms. If that matters to you – you are forewarned.
Picked this hotel from TripAdvisor and my travel agent. Read everything I could about the resort and took a chance. Having been to the island 20 years ago it was mixed feelings to see how built up and crowded it’s become. Surprisingly it is just as charming and cool. Zoetry Villa is what they call a “Boutique” Hotel. Quiet, and relaxing. Don’t come looking for action or nightlife of any kind. But you get excellent customer service, great food and an awesome spa. I thought the rooms were clean and nice but in my opinion could’ve been more luxurious. I would add a coffee shop. Room Service ROCKED fast service 24 hours even if you just wanted desserts! Tiramisu was to die for. Food was great. Nothing bad to say about this place.
