Relaxing trip during COVID
Spent a relaxing 8 days at Now Jade from 8/27 - 8/4 with family - all adults. Service, as at all AM Resorts we've been to, was spectacular. The staff were very attentive to our needs all the while practicing the sanitary guidelines to ensure safety during COVID. As others have mentioned, all staff were always in masks and hand sanitizers were readily available. Due to limiting the occupancy rate, the staff rotated through the list of restaurants so that there was adequate variety on a daily basis. 3 restaurants were open nightly to choose from for dinner. The meals and presentation were to the standard we've seen pre-COVID. My only regret was that Castaways and Spice were closed during our stay. The Carnival buffet was not fully open, but each meal had a variety of different options as we've come to expect We were seated with Edgar initially and asked for him each subsequent visit due to his light and jovial nature. It was fun to see someone having fun while at work. While not inconveniencing my family as we were on the preferred side, the main pool was partially closed for remodeling. I could see how that would have impacted non-preferred guests and/or those with children. The staff addressed any families with children that came to the adults only preferred pool quickly. The wait staff at the preferred pool were always around bringing beverages. If you like coconutty drinks, try the Sexy Frog and / or the Scoobie shots. This was something new for us this trip and we would highly recommend.

The trip has been phenomenal, the employees have been great, the only issue was in the bathroom because don´t have doors! We had a fun and relaxing experience and the Hotel follow all the sanitizing protocols in COVID
Piss Poor - and they don't care
We arrived on the first day of this property having re-opened. What a horrible experience. The property was in disarray, only partially opened, poor management response, and finally over-charged for Preferred Club benefits that we did not get. It took several calls to Front Desk manager to effect some sort of refund. And, even then, the refund had to take place through the corporate offices. We wrote a lengthy letter describing all of the issues and they did not adjust our price whatsoever. We were only refunded $164, the difference between ocean view regular and ocean view preferred which was the bare minimum that we deserved given we did not even get any of the preferred perks. We felt that we should have been given a partial refund based on all of the issues at the property. This was our second stay at a Now property. We were planning on a return trip next year, based on their response to our concerns, we will NOT be staying with any of the AMRessorts properties. There are far too many properties to choose from in the Cancun area.
Mother/daughter graduation celebration
Coming home today from a fabulous trip! It was just my teenage daughters and myself, and we had a fun and relaxing girls vacation! Due to COVID the resort is not at full capacity or full staff, and they are utilizing this time to do some renovations. With that the Asian restaurant and half of the activity pool are currently closed, and there are only 3 restaurants open each night. However, the staff are so happy to be open and are truly happy to have guests again!! Also, the food was outstanding - from breakfast buffet, to literally the best fish tacos for lunch at barefoot grill, to delicious salmon at Capers Italian restaurant for dinner. I can’t say enough about the waiters in the restaurant like Leoncio and Fernando at Carnival were so friendly and attentive every morning, and Alfredo, Tomas, Alvaro pool waiters were so great. Plus the Entertainment staff of Saul, Christian, Amara, and Leonardo made our stay so much fun with daily games, pool volleyball, zoomba, and the shows at night especially the fire show, urban dancers, and rock show. The treated my girls and I like we were life long friends. We had the best vacation and would not hesitate going to the resort during COVID.
This trip has been phenomenal the servers have been great the food has been amazing chef Miguel worked the preferred bar and made amazing food and already knew what i wanted when I walked up which was amazing overall amazing trip pools great drinks are great food is great would recommend to everyone
