    Enjoyable Stay (2/22 to 2/29).

Check-in was fast and accommodating. The welcome drink is delicious. Room was clean; air conditioning worked; and shower had hot water. Close to the beach, which is nice. The pools are enjoyable; we really liked the adults only pool... good times! Never had a problem with the staff; everyone was helpful and friendly. The batteries in our room card swipe machine died and the staff responded and fixed the issue promptly (thank you for that). Oh, we also recommend the spa/massage. The massage was great, and then you get access to the spa which is wonderful. Hemingway is good for drinks in the evening. Two "cautions" for potential visitors: 1.) The "hawkers." Throughout the resort there are a bunch of people trying to get you to buy something or go listen to a timeshare presentation. They are everywhere, and it does get quite annoying. This did wear on us throughout the trip. 2.) The food isn't awful. It's not. It's just the same stuff every day. So it's gets a little boring. Just no flair. Again, it's not gross... it's just not something to remember.

    It was a great experience.

The property was big and exciting to explore. It was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean. There were lots of activities for kids. The beach was at a walking distance from our rooms. The service of the train to travel to other parts of the resort was good.

    Pickleball Getaways

Pickleball courts need updated from old worn out tennis courts to dedicated pickleball courts including netting to help with the windy conditions. Food, service, beach, drinks, rooms, lobby, friendliness of staff was all good.

    Recommended

Firstly, let me say this hotel has been absolutely fantastic 😀 Upon arrival our check in was fast and efficient and we were given an upgrade staying at the Grand Palladium Palace Seaview room 8103 / 8106. The rooms were absolutely beautiful and the views were stunning I cannot fault the service in any shape or form, anything we requested was granted thanks to the Guest Relations Manager Carlos Kingsley. The complex is very big the grounds and the pools are beautiful. Just would like to mention the pool side waiter Michael who was absolutely brilliant and the entertainment team Eliana, Constantino and Mini Cooper. They made our holiday amazing. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back for sure.

Inconsistent with lack of quality and service says it all

Well where does one start. Overall this place lacks consistency. For example, out of 7 night’s our housekeeping was never the same. Some days no face clothes, some days no bath towels, some days no water but always tons of shampoo and conditioner. Your room should be done the same each day no matter who does if. This goes for all things on the resort. The entertainment/pop team is a joke. They don’t visit with or entertain staff. Have the time they don’t do the planned activities. All the staff here seem apathetic and unmotivated. You never see a manager. In the entire time we never had consistent or great service in the restaurants. We always had to ask for cutlery, water, drinks, etc. At the buffets chefs are just standing around doing nothing. I had to serve myself at most serving stations. For a kids friendly resort I was surprised that no kids meals were offered at the ala cartes except at the El Dorado. Kids shows were a total joke. The Raggs beach party ended up starting half an hour late (which is a big deal because they already start after bedtime) and had nothing to do with the beach. This always seemed to be the cAse. The Casino is also a joke. It only takes US dollars and won’t give you your change back. Machines are from the 60’s and the place is way over staffed which makes it super akward. I’ve never been to an all inclusive where staff were so inconsiderate and Discourteous. I also find it strange how they share and use all the main bathrooms with guests. It’s very akward as they don’t even say hi to you. It’s like they own the place here.... hardly any resort staff said hola or smiled. The resort also didn’t do anything for special holidays like saint patricks day or really emphasize or accentuate that we were in the Dominican. I honestly felt like it was a Mexican resort the whole time. I would not return to this brand of resorts nor this hotel. Get your staff motivated and pay attention to your guests and food/room quality and maybe your business will do better. Pros: Hemingway’s lounge El dorado restaurant Walking paths with cover Golf carts/train for guests to get around Toilets flush! Heinz ketchup Nice pool for kids - lots of shallow areas Overhead fan in room Air conditioning Safes in room Cons: No towel service on the beach No kids menu at ala cartes Inconsistent or overall lack of service Rooms outdated and smell of mold No soap dishes in rooms Sheets not changed all week Shows and kids shows are very poor No real entertainment team No Dominican touches Life guards don’t pay attention - had to pull out two kids right under their station myself Bartending is very basic. No real elaborate drinks or varied alcohol selection. Bacon only offered 1 out of 7 days! Mushy scrambled eggs Windy and unmaintaned beach areas
