Jul 03, 2025Think twice before you book this hotel
Our stay was supposed to be 06/27/24-07/04/25-out flight got delayed till the next day, I called in and notified them that I would be flying in 06/28/25 at 7am and needed to make sure my room was available for check in at that time, when I got to the hotel at 8am, the room was NOT READY. The check in clerk said it would be ready at 11am, I was furious and asked for a resolution, I asked why my room was not available if my original check in date was the day before!!!!!! The clerk said they were at 98% capacity and they would ask someone to expedite a room for us- I had booked an ocean front one king bed room- somehow with in 30 mins they had an “available” room- they sent us to the 4th floor room 443- that room was a partial ocean view with a full view of their moon building. I was not a happy camper, traveling with a toddler and getting to a hotel that was paid for in advance and to show up and be told the room was not available-RIDICULOUS!!!! then to be given a room with ocean view rather than ocean front which is what I paid was a slap in the face. When I went back to the lobby all the clerk could say was that I could wait for another room- that now would be available at 1pm- or I could “upgrade” for $300 per night… but she would offer me a discount and would charge me $250 per night to upgrade me to an ocean front suite close to the ocean- which was full of sargassum… why would I want to pay an addition $1800 to see brown water!!!!! I asked to speak to a manager- who came out 10 minutes later, his name was Manuel- he offered NOTHING to resolve the HUGE INCONVENIENCE that I was dealing with! He said he could offer me another discount 😱 instead of $250 per night - he could do $200 per night for an upgrade!!! He said he spoke to his superior and that’s all he could do. He asked multiple times to show me the room he could upgrade me to, but it was dirty and wouldn’t be ready till 3pm- mind you, we showed up at 8am 06/28/25 for a reservation that was paid for from 06/27/25 and I had called in to let them know that my flight was canceled and rescheduled so I wouldn’t be in until 06/28/25 at 7am. The food is mediocre, the service isn’t very well, some employees have attitude like you are a disturbance to their day…. Our housekeeper Virginia, was AMAZING. If it wasn’t for her I’d probably rate this lower. Eladio, a restaurant lead or manager was also nice. Oh and if you want a lounge chair by the pool you better wake up at 4am to put your clothes on it or a towel other wise you will be S.O.L- they have no control of people that reserve loungers for hours and show up hours later. On one of the days I was there, I had to change my daughter in the grass on top of a towel. I’ve stayed at other fiesta americana hotels and they have been good, this one, not so much! Also, beware- you can call and uber to pick you up dr the hotel- the hotel staff told my dad that they didn’t allow uber to come in the property only so that they would hire their van which charged my parents $100 round trip to take my mom to a dialysis center about 10km away. When we found out that uber could come in to the property- my parents paid $30 round trip! The staff at the front are crooks! And take advantage of people that don’t know better!!!

Wonderful resort! We loved the food, lots of options and really good for all inclusive. Drinks and food served by the pool, room service, coffee shop, desserts all included! Great service and wonderful staff. I’d like to shout out Alejandro at Isla convoy and also Hildi at the spa. #ThePendletonCandyCompany

Love the plunge pool we used it every day! Rooms were clean, wait staff was amazing. Food was amazing!! The scenery was breathtaking

EVERYTHING WAS GREAT, HOSPITALITY, SERVICE AND AMMENITIES. THE CLEANLINESS OF OUR ROOM AND ALL THE RESTAURANTS AND POOL AND BEACH AREAS WAS JUST AS GREAT. OUR SERVER FOR OUR LAST BREAKFAST HORACIIO JAZMIN WAS FANTASTIC. COURTES AND KIND
