We live this place and will be back

Meghan approached us and was amazing very informative and personal. We will be visiting the show and be back to the hotel! We learned a lot about her and about our opportunities while being here. Please keep her in mind for growth and leadership.

Excellent Option in the Cancun area

7 buddies and I stayed here and had a great experience. I can't say anything about this Resort was "bad"...but a few things worth noting - had I known them, it wouldn't have changed my mind about staying here it is just good to know. Depending on which building you stay in, you will either be walking a lot, or waiting for the shuttles that run through the complex. We were in building 31, which was awesome because it was close the Pool, Beach and Smokehouse restaurant. What was less awesome was how far we were from the main lobby area where the Buffet, Mexican, Japanese and Brazilian area was and then even further from the Shopping area where they had the Taco Bar, Hamburger Restaurant, Ice Cream Shop and Coffee Cafe. From our building it was maybe 5-10 walk, so not terrible and shuttles did run constantly. I had read about this before but didn't realize just how big this complex is! What was new to me was that they didn't have poolside or beachside staff to bring drinks so you needed to go to a bar to get drinks, again, not a big deal to me, but to some it may be. The other one is they don't do your standard 20oz plastic water bottles, anywhere - which I loved as its great for the environment. Each building had a water dispenser, so make sure to bring your own water bottle and they also had one by the pool bar. The pool deck and beach had tons of chairs - we never had a problem find spots to sit. Our room was nice and comfortable - had no issues there. The check-in / check-out process was fast - no hassles to sit through a timeshare sales pitch. The food I found to be excellent - specifically the Mexican restaurant, it was spectacular! Two restaurants require reservations, the Japanese/Hibachi and the Brazilian Steak house. We went to the desk upon checking in and took the ONLY available option for Hibachi which was 9p our last day and we were not able to make one for the Brazilian place as that was totally booked. We were there Tue - Sunday and there was only ONE open reservation and it was for ONE person. If I had one complaint, it would be that...I am glad we got Hibachi, but wish it wasn't at 9p and I was really disappointed we couldn't get into the other - but it was probably just unlucky timing on our end. All in all, great place - one that I'd go back to if given the chance.

    Don’t expect too much

So far, rating poorly… Check in at 3:00… but they can’t even tell us WHEN we will get room. I was told to come back in 5 minutes… the hotel employee has since disappeared… It is not even possible to speak to the manager! Check in is not at 3:00; I was informed that it STARTS at 3:00…

    Food Poisoning

After one week in the resort (eating every meal there), my wife and I got food poisoning. We called for help and it took the resort 4 hours to send a doctor. In addition, if you're not a member, you're a 2nd class guest, which means you must wait for transportation and be eaten by mosquitoes if you want a ride back to your room after dinner. At first, they're super attentive and invite you for breakfast. They pick you up and ask you to bring your passport and credit card. This turns into a long membership/timeshare pitch. I will never go back.
