Great stay will definitely be coming back
Service was amazing especially Francisco at the reserve pool. He was friendly, quick, attentive and so accommodating. Had such a nice and relaxing time and views are amazing. The food however could be better, but still good.

Relaxed trip but food was only okay compared to other AI's.
This resort is okay compared to other AI in Mexico. We were celebrating our anniversary and requested a king bed but had two doubles; the view made up for it. The beds had the sheets hanging on the floor (the one set had stains on them) and I asked the staff to please tuck them in which they kindly did. The rooms smelled very musty. The food was only okay, compared to other all inclusive chains we have visited. There was only a breakfast buffet and none for lunch or dinner which was disappointing, not many seafood options in the restaurants and felt it was a lower scale than the RIU and other resort chains. If you don't go early, expect to wait an hour or more. The plus is that we felt very relaxed and not pressured to do any excursions or services by the resort which is a downside of the RIU. The RIU is much busier and more of a party chain. If you don't book the Reserve package, you are limited to the restaurants, it says 7 but you only have the choice of 3 for dinner, an additional one at cost, one for breakfast and room service 24 hr which gave us stomach issues. The staff made it pleasant. The water aerobics instructors, Adriana and Jesus, plus wait staff-Nestor, Jesus and hostess Guadelupe made us feel like family. They are also renovating parts of the resort. The water and beach was not as nice as other places of Mexico but the views and pool were beautiful and it was very relaxing!

Overall Great w/ Small Annoyances
We booked a Reserve room for a 5-night stay and had a really good time overall. A few things could’ve been better, but the resort was great and out of the all-inclusive spots I’ve been to, Paradisus Los Cabos is the one I’d go back to. Since it’s an adults-only resort, the vibe is chill and romantic—perfect if you're there with a partner. When we weren’t eating, we mostly hung out at the main pool, which had daily activities and a DJ. The activities were fun, and the staff running them—shoutout to Jesus and Adriana—were awesome and always super friendly. The main pool is big, and we didn’t have any trouble finding chairs or a cabana, but it helps to reserve ahead. If you're looking for total peace and quiet though, keep in mind the DJ and games can get pretty loud. Luckily, our Reserve room gave us access to a more relaxed private pool near Sante, which was great for when we wanted a break from the noise. If we didn’t have that, I think the constant volume at the main pool might’ve gotten on our nerves after a few days. The food was decent overall. Some meals were just okay, some were really good. As Reserve guests, we could make restaurant reservations through our concierge, which made things easier. Our favorites were Sante and Sal. Sante is Reserve-only for breakfast and lunch, and open to everyone for dinner. Sal was a standout—the food and service there were the best we had, and I’m still thinking about the short rib special. The 24-hour room service was solid too. Our room was nice and spacious with a cool double shower, but it did have a bit of a moldy smell when we walked in. Not super strong, but noticeable. There was a gap under the door, so the AC had to work nonstop, which probably made it worse. The drawers also smelled a little musty, so we just kept our clothes in our suitcases. Not a huge issue, but not ideal either. Service around the resort was great—everyone was really friendly and helpful. Our concierge was good too, but wasn’t always around, and it didn’t seem like there was a dedicated backup when he was off. It wasn’t a big deal, just not quite what we expected. As for the whole Reserve experience—some perks were definitely worth it, like the airport transfer, quieter pool, better dining access, and included dinner at Sal. But we weren’t told about all the benefits upfront, like ironing service or aromatherapy turn-downs, so we didn’t take full advantage. That’s partly on us for not asking, but it also felt like the resort just didn’t really go out of their way to explain everything. Plus, we noticed a few non-Reserve guests using Reserve-only areas, like the pool and Sante at lunch. Those places weren’t crowded, so it didn’t bother us too much, but it made us wonder if we could’ve saved money by booking a regular room and still gotten the same experience. Also, Reserve guests supposedly had access to "premium" alcohol, but from what I could tell, everyone had access to everything! One small annoyance—during a poolside trivia game, there was an annoyingly entitled bachelorette group that didn’t follow the rules at one point and then complained that the rules should be changed, when everyone else was clearly following them. That was a vibe killer. And at one point one of them brought two plates of nachos into the pool (which is clearly not allowed). Staff didn’t say anything, even though they told our group earlier that food wasn’t allowed in the pool. It just felt a little inconsistent, and I wonder if it's whether we were more cappuccino while they were more the undertones of mozzarella, if you know what I mean lol. All in all, Paradisus Los Cabos is a great resort with a fun atmosphere, good food, and friendly service. If we come back, we’ll probably think twice about whether the Reserve upgrade is worth it.

Lots to love, some things to improve
Overall, this is a nice hotel. Lots to recommend it, however there is definitely room for improvement given the price we paid and amount of competition in the area. I think perhaps some of the issues we encountered were because we chose to travel in one of the hottest months, but a hotel in a hot area should still be able to accommodate the needs of summer months. The Good - The staff is lovely. Everyone is very sweet and do seem to want to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. - The hotel is beautiful. Very "instagrammable" if that's what you're looking for. Lots of little areas to sit with groups and chat. - The upgrade to the Reserve was, without a doubt, worth it to us. We enjoyed the private pool being a little quieter than the main pool. The upgraded restaurant was delicious, and our private concierge, Carlos, made everything easy for us by being able to text him to ask for reservations, etc, so you didn't have to spend time at any desks rather than enjoying your vacation. We're not big drinkers but it did seem like the Reserve bars had better liquor options than the main bars. I think we technically had a better view than a regular ocean front reservation, though we were still kind of looking at a construction site in front of the ocean. - Stand out food for us was actually the breakfast buffet. So many delicious options that accommodate all kinds of dietary needs, and cover a vast range of cuisines. I will dream about the plantains and "Mexican coffee"! The Japanese restaurant was also delicious. - Nice little touches like self-serve popsicle carts made the property feel special and elevated - We loved the tour into town. It was nice to get off of the property for a little while and see the sights. We got in a little bit of shopping and some great photos - There is an on-site doctor. We didn't expect to need this, but we ended up having to use this service, and it was nice to have it there on the property. Suggested Areas of Improvement - As mentioned we were there in July and it was H.O.T. This could have been better managed by the property with some changes -- - The pool is not temperature controlled. On the day we arrived the 'feels like' temperature was 104F, and I'm not joking when I say that getting in the pool offered no relief because it was bath water. It was legitimately about the temperature you would wash a baby in. The ocean was too rough and lifeguards weren't letting people swim so that wasn't an option for us (noting that there was a tropical storm some miles off of the coast and I assume that you can normally swim in the ocean, just not while we were there) - Shade was hard to come by if you wanted to be by the pool. Chairs had umbrellas but they weren't adjustable or moveable, so really only blocked the sun at the exact right time of day. There weren't really any trees to huddle under and there is no shade in either pool. This was tough with the heat and the water being so warm. I assume the idea was to get you to upgrade to a cabana? We wanted to be by the pool and tan but couldn't stay for very long without overheating. - Our room was soooo damp. Probably a combination of the AC being on full blast plus the ocean and humidity, but a dehumidifier would have gone a long way to help control the overwhelming dampness. It smelled moldy/musty and we'd need to open up the doors to air it out every day. Getting into bed the sheets and pillows would feel wet. Our clothes were wet from hanging in the closet. Books and papers (including our passports) warped from the humidity in the room. - Avoid the room service. We ordered in the first night since we were a little travel weary and exhausted from the heat. The room service food was pretty bad - some of it cold, some of it just made no sense. One of us ordered a cobb salad which was listed with traditional ingredients and came with odd substitutions like dried cranberries and had no egg, chicken, or dressing. The buffalo cauliflower seemed to be dressed with BBQ sauce and hot sauce? - There is an entertainment schedule every day which includes some cool activities, like yoga and crafting. That works out well for daytime hours, but at night it gets a little tricky. Since we were at an all inclusive we didn't really want to leave the property at night. So after dinner we would be looking for ways to stay entertained before bed and there really was only one option at a time. Sometimes this was great...we enjoyed the mariachi band and karaoke a lot! But other nights only having a single choice for entertainment was really limiting; on the night we had an early dinner reservation because that was all that was available, we were done with dinner by 7pm and the only entertainment was a DJ playing house music, which none of us really enjoyed. We ended up getting out the deck of cards we had brought and playing amongst ourselves for a few hours for a lack of better options, but having two organized entertainment options for the evening would give some variety to a captive audience. You can only drink so many hours in a day, and no one wanted to be back in bed at 7pm. - Ants. Everywhere. Some biting. At some point we had to move pool chairs because they were crawling all over us. We spoke to other guests who had the same issue. Maybe this is just common in Cabo but I think a spray could help? OVERALL I think this is a great option for winter months, but all in all I wouldn't go back in the summer as there was no way to escape the heat unless you want to spend your entire vacation inside!
