They forged our signatures and created credit cards for $24,000 for a membership to their resort. DO NOT GO HERE!!! Ray Hernandez held us in a room for 6 hours with a security guard and threatened us with foreign prison when we said we did not want membership to their resort.
Booked an ocean view accommodation well ahead of the trip. Based on the reviews, called them twice to confirm that they have the booking and everything is ok. On the day of arrival they tell me they are not sure if they can find an ocean view room ( it is a huge resort). Then after having me wait, porter takes our luggage, takes us all the way to a the hotel building down the stairs and to a smelly moldy basement garden view room. We had to make it all the way back to the lobby( the resort is huge), I was beyond exhausted and angry after the day of traveling. They went to speak with the supervisor and came up with a solution. They gave us and "upgrade" from an ocean view room to a partial ocean view room. Made me sign a paper that said I was getting an upgrade and that I can not post about it on social media or leave them a bad review. To be fair the room did not smell moldy, so an upgrade. The shower was poorly sealed and flooded the area around it. The toilet got clogged a few times, not pleasant, but it happens. What should not happen is waiting for hours for a guy with a plunger. I had to walk to the lobby about it after 3 phone calls( the resort is huge). Most appalling is probably zero effort to reconcile anything. Literally nothing, nada. The mini bar(2 presidentes, 2 bottles of water, 2 sodas) was not getting refilled. Naive me thought maybe they overlooked it. No, happens that my upgraded accommodation is not eligible for an everyday refill. The food was ok. The restaurant reservation system is ridiculous. Walk to the lobby before 11am each day, cannot call, no online system.( The resort is huge).

Truly a home away from home
We feel that the „ Welcome Home“ sign at the entrance of the resort is totally appropriate since we are always treated like family . Everywhere we go- be it restaurants, bars or beaches there are big welcoming smiles followed by : „so nice to see you again- we missed you !“ and we know it is true because most of the time it also includes our names , questions about our family or former guests. The service and friendliness of the staff is unsurpassed by any other resort we have visited in the DR and so is the quality and variety of the restaurants. As to the accommodations we prefer the Spanish style Crown Villas due to their architecture and large size lots which provide much better privacy or the Royal Suites which are in the center if everything but at the same time a quiet oasis .
Spring Break at it's Best
What can we say. You have everything under the sun at this resort. people are friendly, clean, customer service is great, always there to help. Lots of bars, pools,activities all the time. The rooms is something people always want to know when their booking, well, VERY VERY BIG ROOMS. Always clean. We would definitely recommend this resort to anyone, and food is good too (being that we were KOSHER), the only recognized Kosher resort in the caribbean. Wanted to give a shout out to certain people who had a very special impact on our trip Happy(at the bar) Daury(the bellboy) Frank & Isabelle (the waiters at the Kosher location) Cappuccino (entertainment) Johnson (the Scuba instructor) Israel(the mashgiach at kosher restaurant) We missed our guy from entertainment JULIO :( There were many more but these stuck out, GREAT JOB!! Thank you, our 3 families had a blast and we will be back, UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN!!!!!
