Could this hotel BE any better?
What can I say, this hotel is just incredible. I travelled in February, 29 year old solo female for a week in paradise, and paradise is what I got. I've never been to an all inclusive resort before, so i can't compare, but this place is wonderful. I've always been against all inclusive's as I like to go out and experience local restaurants - but for safety reasons, I decided to take the plunge! Rooms: I stayed in Villa 68, room 34 with a park view (Junior suite with no pool). The decor is stunning, the bed is huge super comfortable (I opted for the latex pillows (which i'm now going to go out and buy). Everything is spotlessly clean and laid out beautifully. The hotel will give you two bottles of alcohol in the room, I actually didn't drink any, but it would have been a nice touch to have a pre dinner drink on the balcony. The fridge is stocked with a variety of soft drinks and Beer, along with a Mars bar type chocolate and some peanuts. The bath and shower were both lovely, the toilet is separate and quite high. I found it quite funny in my drunken stupor that i couldn't reach the floor (I'm 5ft). The room did run cold to be honest and i struggled to get the temperature up, but after a long hot day in the sun, it's welcomed! Staff: I had the pleasure of meeting two butlers whilst I was there, I can't remember the names, but they were both super helpful and friendly. I didn't use them that much, only to book the restaurant of an evening. My favourite staff member has to be Santiago at Helios. He was my waiter most days for breakfast, he's just the best. I felt a bit shy and unsure of what to do as I was alone, and he made me feel really welcome. On my final breakfast, he came out with a beautiful decorated plate with my name on wishing me bon voyage. Ivonne the hostess at Helios remembered me each morning too, she was another stand out member of staff for me. Lady by the infiniti pool kept the drinks flowing for me and the friends i made on the trip, she was fantastic! The dudes on the golf carts were great, I like to walk around but if they passed you and they were empty, they'd offer to collect you. They do have specific routes, so if you want to go to another area of the resort, its best to arrange via your butler. Flagging one down and asking to go to another hotel won't work. Pools/Beach: Infiniti pool is the lively fun time pool, go there if you want some great music and activities. I spend a few days here and loved it. Salt water pool: I spent one afternoon here, it was quite, serene and beautiful. Lots of couples here, so as a solo, i didn't spend that much time here. Towards the end of my week, i spent a couple of days at the TRS beach area. People moan its far away, but it's really not. I walked down the beach each time and it took about 10 mins from Helios at a glacial pace. If you're not sure how to find it, there's a little wedding gazebo on the beach beside the massage area, it's just behind that. I actually sat outside of the TRS beach area as i wanted the sun, but the beds were comfortable when i laid on them for a moment. The beach was pretty much free of seaweed, it was gorgeous. The water feels safe, not too choppy but do watch out for the rocks when heading in, they are sharp! I didn't visit the secret pool to be honest, i wanted too but i fell in love with the beach! Restaurants: I'll start this by saying i'm a food snob, the food here is a 4 out of 5 i'd say. Helios: The selection at Helios for breakfast is outstanding and most dishes are executed really well. You had the choice of a British, American, Continental and Mexican dishes - along with all the extras. I had breakfast here 6 out of 7 days, so really enjoyed it. Lunch selection was great too, i often had sushi as a quick snack. I didn't get to go here for evening meal, but my friends said to have the coconut prawns! Caprichio: I went here once, it's more of a formal breakfast setting indoors. Excellent service and super friendly waiters. I had the Eggs Benedict which was lovely, enjoyed it a lot! La Boheme: I had my first evening meal here, where i met some great people who invited me to join them. I had the fondu to start with and it was okay, it was just melted cheese, not that much flavour too it - but not bad at all! I had the Duck for my main, which was overcooked, but tasty and the rest of the dish had wonderful flavours which complimented the duck. The house red here was nice, i quite enjoyed it. Easy drinking lighter bodied red which complimented both my dishes. Tentazione: This was my favourite meal I think. The service was amazing, I forgot the name of the guy but I think it began with a K? I started with the Burrata, which was actually just Mozarella but still a nice one. My main was the lamb chops which were cooked rare like I asked, really enjoyed them. The service was super professional and friendly though, I felt like a VIP. Food at the Infiniti pool: Every day they cook something by the pool, i ate here for lunch on 3 days. All of the food was actually really good, burgers, stir fries and rice etc. Great to soak up all the cocktails i drank by the pool. Poisedon: I went here for lunch one day as everywhere else had closed. The food was just okay here, but the guac was nice! I had Quesadillas, probably wouldn't go there again for lunch though. El Gaucho: This was the only restaurant that i was a little disappointed in. The staff were a little awkward with our party as we turned up 1 minute after the cut off time for our table, so we had to sit outside and wait till almost 11pm for our food. Partly our fault, we had a big party so it was a bit like herding sheep trying to get everyone there on time. I ordered the Big 1kg steak and asked for it to be Rare, it came out well done. Nevertheless, it was very juicy and lovely when topped with a bit of blue cheese. The rest of the steaks are very thin, so as you say, go big or go home here! Room service: Don't bother, the food is bad (I had pizza and it was just bread with topping and unmelted cheese) Sumptuori: A Tepanaki restaurant at the Kantenah resort. The show Jorge put on was amazing, he got everyone in the mood and was super skilled. I enjoyed my dinner a lot here, definitely worth a trip away from the TRS side. You get starters, then a choice of meat/fish to have with your veggies and rice. Chic Cabaret: I'm not normally someone who likes hotel entertainment. The size of the production and the setting was just showstopping. I felt like a VIP with my little both to myself. People say the food is outlandish and strange, but unless you're a very fussy eater, it's pretty normal to me. All dishes were beautiful, it was the nicest food i had on the whole trip i'd say. The performers here work their ass off, and they're all beautiful! I was dancing away in my seat, loving every minute. Advice on tipping: In the Uk we don't really know how to tip, but the service here is so worth it. For a single person I took £150 worth of Pesos. They can change big bills at the TRS reception. Room service Maid: I didn't get room service every day as i'm neat and tidy, but i left her a 50 peso bill Room service Bar refill: As above, I left 50 peso each time. They knew i liked the caffeinated coffee pods, so i got extra of those which i really appreciated. Drinks by the pool: I would tip 20-50 pesos every couple of drinks. If there was a group of us, we'd tip a bit more. I'd tip even if i went to the bar myself. Breakfast buffet: I'd tip 50 each morning, but I left Santiago with a big tip on my final day :) Evening meals: Probably 50-100 depending on how good the food/service was. Cart dudes: Probably 20 per cart ride. I didn't take many, and generally tipped 20 or 50 depending on what i had. Bellboys: I tipped, you guessed it, 50 Pesos! Overall: The staff, the grounds and the attention to detail here is second to none. I wouldn't hesitate in coming here alone again. My partner goes snowboarding each year with his friends, and i would love to make this my yearly tradition going forward too.

My friend Valarie Grafft and I stayed in 6608. We had an amazing time at your beautiful resort filled with such beautiful staff. Our butlers, Erick and Luis, driver Rafael and waiter Alain from Hilo’s were so friendly, professional and went above and beyond to make our vacation such a pleasure. Thank you so very much. Will definitely recommend to anyone. Cheryl
Great place to go and wonderful staff!
This place is so worth it! The bed is so comfortable and the staff are the best! This is my 3 rd time and I can’t imagine going anywhere else! When you register with one resort, you get the others so there is so much to do and see!
An exemplary model resort.
We are not resort type people, but with a long winter ending and the prospect of a cool spring ahead we decided to treat ourselves to a much deserved sunny getaway. Our choice with TRS couldn’t have been better. From the flight to the pickup at the airport every detail functioned like a well oiled machine. The staff are super attentive and friendly. We learned during our stay how the resort prides itself on its sustainable operation, functioning like a small town, with an army of well taken care of and happy employees which are housed just off site to keep everything functioning impeccably. The pride and joy of the operation was evident in every aspect of the operation. The grounds have nature and wildlife intermingle with the many paths. The rooms are luxuriously spacious and with butler service to cater to all your needs. There are areas that are adult oriented yet even the family areas are amazing and inviting. The Corona virus broke out globally while we were there, yet throughout our stay every measure was taken to sanitize and keep staff and guest as safe and healthy as possible. It was sad to see the resort empty in the final week of our stay as they -repaired to shut down. Our final days we were spoiled with world class entertainment and smiles despite the huge uncertainty that clouded the future. We definitely will return again!
Amazing time at TRS Palladium hotels
If you’re looking for modern, adults only, great fun, rocky beaches, this is the place to stay, we had junior suite with ocean view, very clean, new, people working were extremely friendly. We did had top service, had Acces to all 4 palladium resorts. Food was excellent, fancy. All day accessible members taxi, private beach for YRS guests.
