Overpriced and underdelivers. Mis sold room
If you like being ripped off and mis-sold then this is the hotel for you. We booked a beachside suite, expecting “unrestricted views” of the ocean and access to the beach from our room. Instead we were set back from the ocean, with a partial sea view. Complained and were told we did have beach access (meaning we could walk out of our building, around the path and down to the beach!! By that rationale, every room has beach access and this should not be sold at a premium). Drinks and food are ok, but eye watering expensive. More so when you add 18% service, 13% tax and then an additional 15-20% tip onto every bill! Staff are mixed, some great, many act as if you are an inconvenience at best. If you’re drawn by the amenities, then be aware most of these come with additional charges, $100 to use their pickleball courts as an example.

The Park Hyatt St. Kitts is gorgeous resort setting in the Caribbean
The Park Hyatt St. Kitts delivered a nice Caribbean vacation. The staff was warm and welcoming. The resort, while on the smaller side, was well maintained and beautiful. Breakfast at the Great House was a great way to start our day and fully covered under our Globalist benefits. The pools here were the star of the show and the centerpiece of the resort. a short walk from the Park Hyatt to Cockleshell Beach provided a typical Caribbean beach to swim at while grabbing some beach chairs, an umbrella, and rum punches at Reggae Bar.

Beautiful Resort / Amazing Staff
The resort is beautiful. It is very spread out and we stayed in Building 1 which was a 10-15 minute walk to the lobby. If traveling with small children, buildings 6-12 are more centrally located. But the staff was available, very friendly and always willing to provide a golf cart ride. The upper/adult pool was quiet, spectacular and offered an amazing view. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was $50 USD, but amazing and delicious. My only criticism is the television quality was quite poor. The picture frequently froze and the sound quality was very poor. But overall we had a good experience and would stay again.

Disappointing Stay; Do Not Recommend
The facilities are nice. The service falls flat. It’s simply not worth the price it charges. We stayed here for four nights on a Guest of Honor award with Globalist benefits. The pros: - Great room - Great view of Nevis - Free use of spa facilities - Free breakfast for Globalists (but not worth the retail price of $65 per person) With one exception, however, the service was disappointing across the board. Some examples: - One breakfast, we ordered with a server but the system apparently went down, so the kitchen didn’t get our order. We waited 40 minutes before flagging a server, who finally looked into it. It was disappointing that nobody checked in on us as we waited at an empty table for so long. The server apologized and said a food and beverage manager would reach out. They never did. - One afternoon, we walked by the front desk and saw a bunch of guests being served welcome drinks. We were not offered drinks when we checked in at 5 pm. When we let the hotel know via WhatsApp, they invited us to go to the front desk to pick up a drink. This made no sense; we had already been at the hotel for several days and the front desk is not a bar. It would have been more hospitable to simply have sent a drink to our room or comped a drink at the bar. - When we checked out, a front desk manager met with us and heard out our disappointment. I did appreciate that gesture. The manager said the food and beverage manager was planning to comp us breakfast but couldn’t since we had Globalist benefits, so they were going to send us some Hyatt points instead. Fair enough. But to no surprise, the points never issued. Two weeks later, I followed up with the front desk manager by email, who never responded. These are just a few small examples of the service misses. What is frustrating is not so much the errors - mistakes happen, of course - but how the hotel handled them. We did have one really positive encounter. One morning, a member of the landscaping staff saw me running in the heat and offered a fresh coconut from the grounds. A few minutes later, he brought me two freshly opened coconuts. That was a thoughtful and kind gesture, and worthy of a Park Hyatt. Overall, however, this hotel was a disappointment. The views are grand. The service is not. Look elsewhere.

Maybe just a Hyatt?
Just wrapped up a 4 might stay here at the Park Hyatt. Pros—location of really good, secluded part of the island with great views. Both pools very nice. Spa and gym were nice and well. Cons—this place is well worn. Overall grounds are nice but could use more attention. Rooms are well appointed but well worn. They need an update of at least a paint job. Service is very inconsistent. Sometimes it was quick and then other times you had to call again. Food is also very mediocre. Breakfast was fine but other than that go elsewhere. Just not sure this is a Park Hyatt. Maybe a 4 star Hyatt but not a 5 star Park Hyatt.
