Superb view and lovely staff :)

We loved the location next to Panama canal and our view from balcony to passing ships and Bridge of the Americas. The staff was very friendly from kind receptionist to attentive bartender and they were all smiling and waving to our little son (4 months) every time they saw us. Gym was airconditioned and clean, opened till 12 am, swimming pool big and refreshing with sunbeds and umbrellas all around. Breakfast (7 usd per person) rich, tasty with good selection of fruit, chicken, saussages, ham, cheese and eggs. Free luggage room (even for couple days when we flew to Bocas) and shuttle to mall nearby. A taxi or uber cost 4 dollars to the city center or the fish market (Mercado De Marisco Cinta Costera). We made a great choice to book this hotel.

Comfortable and relaxing and good bang for your buck

This hotel was one of the best Choice privilege points use I’ve used. We stayed in a King suite for 8,000 points a night in March 2024. The hotel sits right on the canal. We had a wonderful view from room 1304. The first night we were in room 1334. That room’s view is entirely blocked by a very large tree and the room is very musty smelling. The next six nights we moved to room 1304. You walk into a living room that has a dresser with a tv on it, a couch that is a sleeper sofa, an end table, an arm chair, and a desk. There is also a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee pot. There is a bathroom with a tub/shower and then the bedroom is at the back of the room with sliders out to the balcony. This room was not musty smelling. It was clean and comfortable and quite. It’s near the elevator but not next to it. Yes this hotel could use some updating here and there and some maintenance, but over all it’s a nice hotel for the price. The pool was very nice and enjoyable. You can get food served to you at the pool and pool towels are provided. The staff was wonderful and extremely helpful and kind. They spoke English and Spanish. They provided a lot of help with navigating the area. There is a great cafe to get coffee and sandwiches. A hotel bar, hotel restaurant, and TGI Friday on site. The breakfast Buffett is $13.98 each but it was not very flavorful. Parking was free and we felt very safe here. It was a good location near Amador Causeway and the Panama Canal and just outside the hustle and bustle of the city. I only wish they had laundry that you could use. They have laundry service but it is very expensive. You pay per article of clothing. There is not a washer and dryer that you can use on your own. There is a nice laundromat in Casco Viejo but then you have to load up your laundry and wait at the laundromat while you wash and dry. I would stay at this hotel again and we rest well here.

    Made a good choice

Going on Windstar cruise thru Panama Canal and arrived two days early and picked the Radisson as it was closest to port we would leave from and all worked out well. Had 3rd floor room and altho not with view of ships going thru canal room was comfortable with living room and separate bedroom. You are steps from walkway that goes all the way to the port and there are plaques along the way which describes the area before and after canal was built. Large pool and deck with plenty of chairs and places to sit and watch the ship activity heading to the canal. Taxi from airport was $40 and took about 25 minutes. TGI Fridays was connected to the hotel but did not appear to be run by hotel, hotel had restaurant with buffet and menu for breakfast and I preferred order by menu option. There was another restaurant 5 minute walk down causeway with big thatched roof called Yacht Clug and was a nice place to sit on deck and enjoy a beverage. Lobby bar had happy hour from 12:30pm to 9:30 pm which I took advantage of during my stay. All staff were pleasant and eager to help. There were about 10 of us going on cruise and hotel provided free shuttle for us to our ship at noon (checkout time) which was a nice perk. I considered staying in Panama City but I prefer away from city and I really enjoyed my stay.

    Great Canal viewing

The rooms were large with decks. The pool was very warm. Views of ships passing through The Canal were great! It was quiet and enjoyable. Walked the paved walkway/bikeway to the islands and back...but don't do in middle of the day...too hot. We rode the C850 bus from Albrook Mall/Bus station there. They were stingy on water...three of us but only allowed two water bottles a day.
