We had an amazing time celebrating my birthday at JOIA Bavaro! The signature scent of Iberostar hits you instantly as you step into the gorgeous lobby. We had a swim out butler suite and Houston was our butler. He was fantastic! He helped my husband plan a nice birthday surprise and was so helpful and accommodating the entire time. The entertainment staff and bartenders, housekeeping, everyone was just great! We can’t wait to visit again!

Wonderful staff and beautiful grounds at this 5 star hotel!
Overall a 5 star experience! From day 1, the check in and front desk staff were wonderful. Our butler, Danilo greeted us in our room soon after check in and provided some very useful information. He checked on us during our stay and always made sure we were enjoying ourselves and had everything we needed. I loved the setup of the room! So different than most hotel room setups and it worked well for us. Our balcony overlooked the "lake" and was a great place to enjoy morning coffee or evening wine. The hair dryer did not get hot and neither did the replacement I asked for. I suggest bringing your own. Both buffet dining rooms were very well stocked and offered tons of options for all appetites. I found the buffets to be the best place to have a healthy meal. The a la carte restaurants were adequate but not great. We found most of the food to be salty, saucy, oily and overall unhealthy for us. The surf and turf restaurant did have a nice salmon prepared simply. We also enjoyed La Dorado Greek restaurant next door. Most servers wanted us to order 3 courses at once. We are not used to that and don't like to order dessert before dinner. The pool had a grill which we mostly ignored because we're not big on burgers and hotdogs however one day they had a giant Paella with huge shrimp, hunks of fish and rice. It was perfect to enjoy poolside. Coffee shops were awesome and we loved the options. Big thank you to Angeli at our coffee shop downstairs who always made the perfect morning coffee from my basic decaf, to cappuccino, to oat milk lattes. The lobby also served wonderful coffee each morning and Miosotti made sure to get my coffee exactly correct with a smile and nice greeting. Note: the coffee shop next door is open 24 hours. We were told differently and glad we explored because we are early risers. Take time to walk the neighboring hotels on premises. It's a lovely walk. The big gym next door had great exercise classes if you're into that and I was! The instructors are fun and motivated and I started most days in either TRX, Pilates, Yoga, Boxing, etc. The pool was our entertainment most afternoons. The Aqua fit class is tons of fun and varies the classes. The Bubble pool on Friday night was a blast! Our pool server, Braullio, gave us great poolside service each day. Overall a very good experience from beginning to end! Thank you Iberostar!

Thes best vacation ever
Luis the front desk manager is a great manager, the beautiful Gat ia receptionist was amazing and took care about us and our wonderful Junios was a great buttler, and Daniel front desk also, i was thanks for everything we love this place, we will come back

Garcia was tremendous!
There was a mistake for our room when we arrived. We had registered for a king-sized bed and got a room with two double beds. However, when we addressed this at the front desk, Garcia did an EXCELLENT job in rectifying this and we were so satisfied. Garcia was tremendous!

We will be back!
This is the best place!! Everyone was very nice and helpful. Everything was very clean and smelled wonderful. We would receive a text every morning from out butler, letting us know he was there if we needed anything. We went for my birthday, when we arrived a cake and champagne on ice was waiting in our room, the following day we received the same thing. One evening the butler text to say that they left something in our room for us. When we arrived at our room, there was rose petals leading us to the bathroom where a bubble bath was waiting for us. Everyone went above and beyond to make it a great birthday/vacation. The food was really good as well. We will definitely be back.
