Cortes - staff commendation.
I had an issue with the light and air conditioning in my room for 3 consecutive days, and I want to commend Cortes, for the prompt and professional service. Coming from an all-day tour in the heat and feeling very tired, I just want to have a shower and restful nap before dinner, but there was no light and AC when I came back to my room. I called the reception desk, and Cortes arrived promptly and fixed the problem quickly on all those 3 days. He was very courteous, respectful, speaks English well and clearly skilled at what he does.

Clean but Dated – Not Ideal for Limited Mobility
The resort was clean, and most of the staff were friendly. However, the property is very dated and in need of renovations. It’s built on a hillside with steep walkways, making it challenging for anyone with mobility issues. While they do offer a shuttle service, it’s not the same as being able to walk around freely. They need to make this very clear, as we would have not stayed there due to back issues. The food was average—nothing special. We rented a car (which I recommend), but security at the entrance was overly strict. We were questioned every time we came and went, which got frustrating. A simple parking pass system could make this much easier for guests.

Another great vacation at this lovely resort!
This was our fifth time at the resort and it is beginning to feel like we belong here. Thanks to the management for accommodating a request for a certain room. What a view. The raccoons were a bit noisy but we got used to it. As usual we very much enjoyed the staff. When they see us they seem to give us a little something extra, with happy faces all around. Things are not always perfect here, but the atmosphere and relaxing is hard to beat. We like how the resort is set into the hillside, with mountain and ocean views. And the birds and wildlife are enjoyable to see. Housekeeping up at building 24 is fantastic, thanks!! We look forward to making this an annual stay!

Great Family Experience
I stayed 5 nights with my husband and parents. We had a great time. We had 2 rooms. My husband and I were in building 1 and my parents in building 14. They were both very clean, comfortable and large but pretty far apart. This is a large resort. Our room in building 1 was close to the lobby, restaurants and bars. The one in building 14 was in a more remote area, there were raccoons that visited every night. There was a lot of walking to get around the resort. They do have shuttles that will pick you up and take you where you want to go. They were more available it seemed like in the evening and night. We had to call for them during the day, but the wait wasn't long. The buffet was good but there wasn't much variety every day, they did have a special every day but everything else was the same. The wait was never long. We ate at The Italian and D'Oriental, both were very good with great service. The snack bar is by the main pool and easy to get a quick bite and a drink, the restroom is in there too. There were always open chairs when we went to the main pool. The pool closer to the beach with the swim up bar was smaller and more crowded. The beach was nice with lots of chairs if you get there early. The water was pretty rough the days we were there. It was a very secure location, we had 2 excursions pick us up and the guard gate wouldn't let them in until we had the front desk call them to give them permission. Everyone at the resort was very friendly and helpful. We had never stayed at an adults only resort, we were surprised how quiet it was. We plan on staying here again!
