A great vacation
We have recently Stayed at the Sunscape Coco Punta Cana, after a rough time travelling with a flight being canceled, the hotel shuttle not showing up and having to sleep on the floor of Toronto airport we were exhausted and cranky got here and everything melted away with check in. We were supposed to be in a third floor room asked if had ground floor got a swim out room in 11000 block. The room is ok beds were comfortable one day had air conditioning issue sent a request over app was fixed with in half hour, most days room was cleaned most time in morning before lunch. My kids started going to the Explorer club towards the end of our trip. Galendy and crew kept them entertained with activities near pool or on beach. We ate breakfast at the buffet where Eddy has been teaching my son Spanish and most staff has made my kids and family feel at home. We ate lunch at the pizza restaurant and snack Machine, I really enjoyed the guacamole from snack machine We ate at Blue Water Grill, Sunny Side, Chopsticks both the teppanyaki table and Tierra had great meals at all but Chopsticks regular I never got my meal. We had a great experience at this resort and I would definitely come back

Came here two times, they changed places but service is still great, food is pretty good in restaurants also.
Beautiful place, well kepped up, very nice friendly staff, they like their tips but are not pushy about it. They will try to please as much as possible. Things we dislike are the tour salesmen on the beach, testy bunch. Just avoid all contact.

Acceptable, budget all inclusive.
Sunscape Coco Punta Cana. Let's start with the positive aspects: 1) Friendly Staff 2) Resort is generally clean. 3) Lots of fun entertainment. Negative aspects: 1) Range of food limited and never changes. 2) A constant queue at Coco Cafe, could do with working a bit faster or add extra staff, no chance for morning coffee without a 30 minute wait. 3) All the resteraunts have very bland foods which are not even as good as the buffet. 4) Drinks are tiny in size and the options are extremely limited.

Best vaca 2024
Lovely location away from the English winter weather. Accommodation was clean and spacious. Food was flavourful. Staff were friendly and approachable. Shout out to staff like Angel, always making sure we had everything we needed, making sure any trip off the hotel was pleasant. If you need anything I.e taxi etc Angel is your guy. Shout out to Jorge at the concierge desk dealing with our every question. Shout out to Josè for making sure our private dinner was memorable and entertaining throughout our dinner. Clemente, every restaurant we had dinner on the resort he was there with a bottle of red wine ready for us. The bar staff at the main lobby who “kept us hydrated”. We spent 11 days at Punta Cana and that was 11 days of beautiful sunshine and fun. We will definitely be coming back in the near future. Highly recommend

Choose a different resort!
We travelled to Sunscape Coco on November 26 and stayed until December 3. My husband, myself and 4 of our adult children accompanied us on our "Family Vacation". This resort was 'renovated'? last year and is part of the Hyatt chain. The resort itself is quite lovely, various pool areas to choose from. Staff were for the most part friendly. The friendly, helpful staff in our experience far outweigh the negative staff members. In large part, I attribute the 'unfriendliness' of staff to the rather significant language barriers present. 4/6 of us became ill during our stay here. What seems to be most disturbing is that many, many others throughout the resort also became ill with GI symptoms. The condition of the rooms, lack of cleanliness in the rooms, ?contaminated food and water. ?Improper food prep and handling and cooking. In all the years I have been travelling to Mexico, Cuba and Dominican I have never experienced anything like this. My daughter, husband and stepdaughter did not leave their rooms for two solid days. When you pay $1500pp for 7 days of sun, warmth, family time, enjoyment it becomes super frustrating and disheartening when issues arise from poor adherence to policies and procedures ensuring cleanliness and sanitation. We noted the 'Health Inspectors' were present on the property the day before we left. Health and safety of all resort patrons at all times should be top priority. There were many other things that I found 'wrong' or that I would flag as negatives with the resort, but of most importance to highlight is the illnesses that MANY, MANY people also staying this same week experienced.
