    Amazingly experience

    We stated for 3 nights on our first leg of our 2 week Costa Rica trip. I cannot say enough about the entire staff at this hotel. Everyone goes out of their way to ensure you are being taking care of. The food was excellent, the location speaks for itself. If you want to treat yourself to something nice, this hotel is the place to stay.

    Disappointing

    The sign at the entrance shows five stars. This is nowhere near the truth. Pros: Volcano views, beautiful grounds, comfortable beds. Cons: Our reservation for a king bed room was not honored. No apology from anyone. Rooms and common areas extremely outdated and worn. Faucet in shower barely attached to the wall. Furniture and lampshades moldy and heavily stained. Hot tub in room leaking onto floor. The hotel sells itself on its proximity to the volcano, but this does not make up for the poor condition of the room.

    Wonderful hotel

    We loved the Arenal Kioro. The room was large clean and very comfortable. The grounds were beautiful. Everyone on the staff went out of their was to ensure we had a wonderful stay. Our room had an incredible view of the volcano. Highly recommend. Pure vida

    Incredible view and easy-going hotel!

    We had a great stay at Kioro (family of 4). the highlight of the hotel is the incredible view of the volcano from the rooms (ask for one on the 2nd floor)!! absolutely stunning!! the rooms are very large and comfortable- even for a large family or group. The hotel is laid back and easy to navigate. The rooms, reception, gym and main restaurant are quite dated and need to be updated. Other parts of the hotel seem more recent. Food was decent but nothing special. Service was Ok as well.

    Highly recommend the Arenal Kioro Suites

    We enjoyed our stay at the Arenal Kioro Suites. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. We would have had a view of the volcano but it was raining in the rainforest! Go Figure on that one! Arenal has a good breakfast buffet with lots of choices. We also ate dinner at both restaurants. The food is really good. The staff at the hotel is very welcoming and friendly. All in all, a good stay and highly recommend the Arenal if you go to Costa Rica.
