Nothing Special
Meh… nothing special just a bunch of ‘tude from the locals (think Hawaii). Rent a car if you do visit, that way you don’t have to deal with the jerk cab drivers. (If you must take a cab, ask for the TOTAL up front! They’ll purposely never give you a total up front… rather than your fare PER person. At your destination, that fare …PER PERSON…magically increases. Watch out for these scammers.)

Excellent location, resort and staff
This resort exceeded our expectations. From check in to check out everything was outstanding. The staff are amazing, welcoming, knowledgeable, responsive. The views of the apartments are just breathtaking. The housekeeping team was great too. Thank you for a memorable experience. We will come back.

Disappointing Service at Marriott Frenchman’s Cove – Not What You’d Expect From a Brand Like This
I rarely leave reviews, but the service during just our first few hours at Marriott Frenchman’s Cove has been so disappointing that it warrants attention—especially for anyone considering investing in their Encore package or timeshare program. We arrived and were immediately directed to the concierge desk for activities. The young man working there was on his phone, didn’t acknowledge us, and left us sitting there for nearly 10 minutes without a single greeting or explanation. When we politely mentioned this to a manager, they shrugged it off and did absolutely nothing to address it. Later that evening, my mother-in-law and I went to the on-site restaurant at 9:30 p.m.—well within their posted hours (they close at 10). Instead of being welcomed, we were met with sneers and eye-rolls from the staff, who were visibly irritated that we had the nerve to show up “late.” No greeting, no courtesy—just open hostility for simply walking in. This level of service would be unacceptable at a budget hotel, let alone at a Marriott-branded resort that’s actively trying to pitch timeshares to guests. If this is how they treat potential buyers, I can’t imagine how they treat owners. Frenchman’s Cove is a beautiful location, but management needs to take a hard look at the culture they’re fostering. Guests shouldn’t have to feel like a burden simply for showing up.

Great Hotel for families with teenagers!
Two grandparents traveling with three 17 year old boys and an 11 year old granddaughter in May 2025. Loved the location. Plenty of fish to see not far off from the beach area. Boys loved that! We stayed in the Crown House. Had a nice view of the ocean. I recommend not taking the steep road down to pool or beach area. You can take hotel ATV (they have drivers) or simply walk over to the Virgin Gorda building and take the elevator down. Then you're right there! Also they have taxis waiting outside to take you to your excursions. Watson at the hotel can help you! We found this hotel to be good for families. Sparks Family

Cat population
The Marriott Frenchman's Cove is a beautiful resort. The grounds were well kept and the accommodations were very good. The staff were friendly. My only concern was for the semi feral cats residing on this property. In the evenings 1-3 cats showed up in the outdoor dining and pool area begging for food. None of the more tame cats were spayed or neutered and I quickly discovered several four to six month old kittens on the grounds as well. I counted close to one dozen cats on the property during our stay. I was not disturbed by the cats themselves but I am very disturbed by a large corporation such as Marriott choosing to ignore this problem rather than taking a humanitarian and proactive approach to it. This problem could easily be addressed by trapping, neutering and releasing (TNR)the cats where they live. Exterminating community cats only results in more cats moving in and taking their place. The TNR program keeps the existing cats healthier and prevents the population from multiplying. Another benefit is that spayed females will not allow other cats to move in to the colony. There is a Humane Society on the island and I'm sure they could helpful with the process. I hope the Marriott will address this problem humanely.
