  Mixed feelings

  My partner and I stayed here on two separate nights since we’re flying to the big corn island. You cannot beat the location if your main purpose is to be near the airport for your flight since it is literally crossing the road from the airport. For best western, the lobby is quite inviting. The doormen are respectful and will smile and greet you while opening the door. I paid extra for checking in early but didn’t pay extra for checking out late on our 2nd stay. I forgot the necklace I gave my partner, and I informed them of this on our 2nd stay, and even waited half an hour on my check out day, only to find out that the darker lady (without sounding racist) did not even ask housekeeping about it. So I waited for nothing. The room is ok for its prized, nothing spectacular. The AC is working properly. The bed is decent. I arrived at 10 am the 1st day and it was noisy the whole day. It’s not the tourists but the people that work there. They were talking a lot while working, slamming doors. They do have two pools. There is also a restaurant. They have a gift shop inside the hotel. Overall, the price is really what you paid for. Nothing special about it, it’s just the location.

  Hidden Oasis in the city

  We initially booked a room here just to get our bearings and pick up a rental car on the way in and return rental on the way out however we were presently surprised on arrival. We were met by a hotel representative soon after customs at the airport, he took us to get our luggage and loaded it in to the shuttle. The Hotel is literally 300 meters from the airport, our driver took us to the front desk where check in was quick and easy. This is not your typical Best Western property it has a resort feel to it with beautiful grounds, two swimming pools and rustic comfortable rooms equipped with hot water and air conditioning. The free breakfast is awesome with lots of choices including fresh fruit, pastries and omelettes made while you wait. We ate at the snack bar on arrival and again the night before we left, food was delicious and reasonably priced. The small gift shop had plenty of souvenirs priced much better than anywhere else. The staff were amazing and always helpful, checkout was a breeze our luggage was loaded in to the shuttle and we were dropped off at the departure gates We will definitely return!

  A Best Western in name and price only

  The location is convenient across from the airport terminal, and the cottage-style units are sort of private. But rooms are poorly maintained, with no hot water and balky air conditioning. A coffee maker is provided with only a tube of instant coffee . . . figure it out. Breakfast choices are limited. The pool was filled with people and filthy.

  Walk to the airport. Excellent breakfast included. Comfortable and clean room.

  Excellent staff. This hotel is a great place to stay near the Managua airport. We had backpacks, and easily walked the 300 yards from hotel lobby to the airport entrance. Breakfast is great and dinner, too. The room was comfortable and clean. There’s a lot of rooms, but it’s all one level and the room has a cabana feel.

  Going down hill

  Not what it has been in the past. No longer a upscale place to stay. No towels, no internet service, staff doesn’t help with request for assistance. Once was our place to stay flying in and out of the country. Not worth the money for the convenience of being close to the airport. Still a nice clean accommodation and good breakfast buffet
