Employees made the difference!
We had a wonderful vacation to Margaritaville in Punta Cana. We met some wonderful employees of the resort that went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. We stayed at a Villa unit and it was perfect. Our butler was Alvaro. He checked in with us every morning and made sure we had everything we needed including reservations for the restaurants. He even decorated our room on our anniversary while we were out. Manny at the Villa pool is the best. His mix of humor and personality made our experience extra special. He visited us each morning at 9:30am with his floating coffee bar which was over the top. Joel at the spa is a wonderful and kind man. We met him every morning and he always had a smile for us. I read somewhere that if you named employees that it probably isn't a real review - Mine is! We became fast friends with the employees over the week and now keep in touch with them. We really enjoyed our time at Margaritaville and met great people there! Can't wait to go back.

Great service
Review of Margaritaville (September 14-20) I recently stayed at Margaritaville from September 14-20 and had an absolutely amazing experience. I booked a swim-up room, which was incredible and added a special touch to my stay. The service at the resort was outstanding. Our butler, Eramy, was fabulous—super attentive, organized, and professional. He went above and beyond our expectations, booking our dinner reservations, spa treatments, and assisting with all our needs. The dining and bar service was phenomenal. Special shoutouts to: Leticia at the Prestige Lounge Manny at the swim-up bar Elvin at Rum Runners Franklin at the Asian restaurant Tedy from housekeeping Julio from room service Odairis at Prestige Juan Luis is going to make a fabulous butler 👏. These individuals truly made our vacation experience great and deserve to be recognized and commended. The property grounds were nice and well-kept. I would definitely visit this property again. Read before booking! Not an All-Inclusive
I would not recommend this place to anyone. We did have a smooth transition from the airport to the hotel. Once there, the check-in process was smooth, but from here on out what a disappointment. We had a swim out room that was on the second floor so no access to a bar area. Your room doesn't come stocked with any beverages, you have to buy them! For 5 nights we got 12,000 credits to use to buy drinks. A small bottle of coke and a bag of chips cost 2000 points. A small bottle of cheap vodka cost 7000 points. Once out of points you had to charge to your room. Such a disappointment here. During our 5 night stay they had one show. The show was good, but in a building with no air. It was so hot we had to leave. Entertainment really don't exist here. All you have is a local guy singing every evening and then karoake at 11 every night. The absolute worst part of this resort are the pools. They have very nice pools, but they are only open from 10am till 6pm. Then you have to get out. Not to mention all the pools have green and black algae all over the sides of the pool. This we found ridiculous. There is no beach here (look at pics) if you want to go to a beach you have to rent a taxi or do an excursion. They will continually hound you to book a spa or view thier time share options everyday after breakfast. No matter how many times you tell them no. They give you a sad story that if you just look they get 20.00 for thier family. The restaurants are only open a few nights each and finding the ones that are and not open is a pain. The food we found is just ok. Needless to say, if we were given free nights here we wouldnt go back.

Sept.7-11th
2 couples.Rooms were really nice, clean good size. It was my daughter's and son-in-law's anniversary and they upgraded them to swim out room. However little disappointed in some of the restaurants. The Asian, italian, steakhouse were all good. The Landshark Brewery biggest disappointment no Landshark beer and the food was horrible in this restaurant.Coffee at caffe shop was very good. Breakfast our first day was at Boathouse and was very good, next few days it was in the Mediterranean kind of a pop up felt very disorganized. The day we go to the Cheeseburger in paradise they were out of chicken but the cheeseburger was good. This is a very quiet time to vacation. The whole family side of the resort was closed down. They have top shelf liquor but you have to ask for it or they will give you the cheap stuff. Compared to the Margaritaville Island Reserve in Cancun this was just not as good. The beach is absolutely awful. Seaweed, rocky. We love going into the ocean and you just couldn't get in it. So the pools are very nice and the entertainment crew is good at the pool. also the band at the bar was really good. We would not return.
