Not what was expected…
Currently staying here and everything that we have observed finally makes sense as the hotel appears to switch owners by November 27th so this is the tail end of Margaritaville existing… only been here a day and a half… no drinks but water bottles in the room. Received 9,600 points for a 4 night stay, which barely pays for 2 x 350 ml bottles and mixers from the store to stock your minibar with. No ice in the machines on 3 floors of our building. Finally found some in a 4th machine. Plates & glassware seem to be a luxury to come by during higher traffic buffet times. Mimosa & bloody mary & juice stations without glasses, several food stations without plates… no food allowed to be taken from the restaurants (they had eagle eyes on a man trying to take a plate from the Landshark restaurant last night) and limited room service menu. No Landshark in the Landshark brewery, just Presidente. Entertainment menu shows nothing going on, but then in the pool area, things are happening. Sales talk push on our arrival was not fun. We ended up not going… not even sure where this romantic beach dinner you can get as gift for attending is supposed to take place as the beach is in interesting condition and there is what looks to be somewhat of a marsh area with pooling after bigger rain storms. We are still enjoying ourselves but surely this is not what it was supposed to be with this major name on it & cost point…

Great Stay!
We had a great stay at the Margaritaville Island Reserve Cap Cana Hammock. We booked Amstar to pick us up from the airport - they are always great to work with. We arrived early at the resort - we were given a Margarita - our room was not ready. However, they had a staff member walk us to the restaurant to get some lunch. The staff here are so friendly and always looking to help. I guess we did not have a butler - we never saw one. The drinks were great - they will add more alcohol to them if you ask. We also booked an excursion from AmStar - we felt very safe at this resort. The hotel security signed us out and signed us back in when we returned - which helped me feel extra safe. We enjoyed Cheeseburger in Paradise each day for lunch - my favorite dinner restaurant was Italian. We brought snacks in our suitcase - we never used any "points". Also, housekeeping will bring you more water for your room. There are plenty of options for food. The beach is pretty with plenty of chairs - but too rocky. We did walk about 10 minutes down to the other beach area. We were never asked to watch a time share presentation - which is great because we would not have - too many other fun things to do. We were approached about going to the spa - which was great because we wanted to do a spa morning - our massage was great. I'm already planning on returning next March.

Service above all
We came to Margaritaville Cap Cana to celebrate our anniversary. Johan and Cristofer made our experience another level for us. They thought of every little detail to make the stay special. We are grateful for the way they made every day a celebration and provided the utmost quality of service layered with fun and joy the day at our poolside cabana. The entire staff have been amazing!

Incredible Experience for first time in Punta Cana
This was our first time staying at an All Inclusive resort and the Margaritaville Cap Cana did not disappoint. It was everything we expected and more. The staff were all incredibly hospitable and genuinely welcoming. By far the highlight of our experience at the resort (and there were lots of amazing experiences) was the incredible hospitality, kindness and genuine thoughtfulness from Johan and Cristofer at the pool area. Every day they outdid themselves making sure that we had everything we needed whether we knew we needed it or not. They made the entire experience unforgettable. Cheers to Margaritaville Cap Cana!!!

My new favorite resort.
Had an amazing time. The pool was great fun. Even for the off season I have no complaints. None of normal hectic experince in busy season. The food was good in all the restaurants. Our most fun and relaxing vacation in some time. Big shout out to our pool buttlers Christopher and Johan and of course Sandro who took great care of us. We made new friends and would absolutely come back.
