Double charged and left resort laughing all the way to the bank.
Pueblo Bonito charged us for 7 nights on a 3-night stay. Upon return saw the $4600 overcharge on credit card statement. We called long distance multiple times upon return and were repeatedly told it would be corrected. After two weeks of calling our credit card recommend filing a dispute for the charges with full documentation of reservation rates and duplicate charges then after 6 months of no communication Visa denied with no recourse. Shame consumer is out $4600. Definitely not worth 3 night stay. Hotel over charged then took no action to refund. If someone doesn't stay then isn't a basic policy a credit? Pueblo Bonito shame on you for stealing from customers who have stayed at multiple properties.

STAY AWAY MARCH TO JUNE
NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY MARCH TO JUNE. I knew to avoid this hotel during March and April for spring break but they also get large groups of high school grads during May and June. For profit companies like Grad City organize trips for large groups of 100 + high school grads and leave them largely unsupervised on the property. My family recently experienced what leaving 18 yr olds unattended in a country where the legal drinking age is 18 and the drinks are unlimited looks like. The bars were packed with kids, it took a minimum of 20 minutes to get a bottle of water, the pool was overrun with kids, there was the constant screaming of cuss words. By 2pm, there were kids falling down drunk and one kid we saw fell into the coy catfish decorative pond. They were rude to the staff and disrespectful to the other guests. One breakfast we went up to the buffet and came back to our table being occupied with teenagers...and they refused to move. And that wasn't the worst event...one afternoon inside the property ropes on the beach, several kids sat down on beach chairs next to my 12 year old son and smoked a joint. I wrote a complaint to the hotel management and never heard any reply. The Blanco and Rose properties are nice and the staff is very friendly. Unfortunately they are left with babysitting these kids. Several of them expressed how they couldn't wait for them to leave. And obviously many of the other guests were just as frustrated as my family and I. Stay away during these months if you don't like frat parties.

Amazing honeymoon experience
My husband and I went to Pueblo bonito for a late celebration of our honey moon, since we weren’t able to travel during Covid for our original honeymoon. It was the best service, Pool experience, and food! Room service, poolside service, etc

Caution, Drink Spiked!!!! 2025
I ordered 1 margarita poolside. It tasted normal, the drinks are not strong. After about 1/2 hour I could barely talk and needed physical help to walk to the restroom. I started crying in the restroom because I didn't understand what was happening. A girl in her 20's was in there and gave me a hug. She said the same thing had happened to her the year before. I reported this incident to the resort and received no reply. Be very cautious. It was really scary. If you want to file a police report, you must do it before you leave Mexico. I found this out when I got home.

Exactly the experience we were looking for!
The amenities at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica are outstanding! Every room has a view of the ocean. The wonderful staff and the food are hard to beat, too. the location is extremely quiet and only about 15 minutes from town by shuttle. The only negative is that you need your phone at all times to book reservations on the shuttles and at restaurants, etc. and to even see the restaurant menus via QR code. We really would have liked to have left our phones in the room and completely unplug. We met some wonderful vacationers who have returned year after year which says a lot about the resort. We hope to see the same staff members when we return (Erik the amazing cabana boy, Javier the mixologist, all the butlers and staff in the VIP lounge, all the staff at Siempre, and Ricardo the waiter) to name a few. We highly recommend PBP!
