Clean Room - Great Pool and Beach - Food and Beverage Could Use Work
Very nice to not have to worry about logistics on vacations. The best part of the stay was the room. Spacious and clean. The food and drinks were a bit of a struggle. Cocktails were water down (expected in an all-inclusive) and the coffee was very subpar for being Mexico. Breakfast bar I found to be pretty dirty. Lunch and dinner food is either adequate/subpar. The standout food place at Dreams is definitely the taco place by the pool and the ceviche cart. Beach and pool are pleasant experiences. Overall had a great time meeting up with friends for a wedding. I probably will not go back. If you come here don't expect the food to be that great - but this resort is great if you want to not have to worry about planning the logistics for your vacation. It's all taken care of for you.

An unforgettable first time experience
This resort was incredible. My family and I stayed for 5 nights and we wished we could have stayed longer. The customer service was amazing. Anytime we had a question or needed help in any way, we were always able to find help. We felt welcomed and incredibly safe. The restaurants were delicious and the quality was unbelievable. We really felt that the resort went above and beyond to make our stay special. We will be coming back!

Not really a PET Friendly Hotel.
Me & my family have stayed at many Dreams Hotels in Riviera Maya and this is by far, the and this is the one that has disappointed us the most. Let's start with the Pet Friendly concept, the hotel´s management believe that by giving you a bed, dishes and a toy (which by the way they didn't even gave us) they are pet friendly. We spoke several times to let them know that we would go with our emotional support dog, asked for tons of documentation (which we showed) and still they gave us the same rules that apply to all pets, which should not be the case, since my dog is trained to behave and her certificate is made so that she can be with me everywhere. But basically you could not be anywhere in the hotel. The pet friendly area is real joke since it´s just a mat (one of those that you put at home) for all dogs to do their needs there and a trash can and they still tell you that if you need to walk your pet, then go out to the complex where the hotel is located. It should be noted that this pet friendly area is right next to the smoking area. You can't leave your dog alone for more than 2 hours in the room, but they don't have air conditioned areas for you to be comfortable with your pet. So don't come in the summer, because both you and your pet won't have a good time, unless you spend it in your room. They wont clean the room unless the pet is not in it by itself, so take your pet out to die of heat so they can clean it for you or again, spend your time inside your room all the time. The hotel is unbearably hot in the outside areas, the elevators are not air conditioned. Pets are not allowed in the pool area, inside restaurants, at the beach, so again, this hotel has no clue of what a Pet Friendly hotel really should be and to give the old of excuse of "What if another guest complaints about your dog being inside the restaurant", I am sorry but it is the same as if I had complaint about noisy kids at the pool. If you make a reservation at a hotel that accepts pets, you are aware that there WILL be at least one pet when you stay there. So please management, please go and learn what Pet Friendly really means or at least make an air conditioned - nice to be at - area so we can be enjoying our vacations with our pets. Understaffed for a 4th of July weekend, which also hosted 3 weddings throughout the weekend so I can imagine the hotel had more than 70% occupation. The line to be seated in the only buffet restaurant for breakfast was gigantic, because of course, as always the timeshare people ruin everything, since they occupy tables for a long time and then again while you try to have breakfast, you sweated terribly in that outside line. Only two stations to prepare omelettes with ONE manager per station. Of course if you wanted an omelette, you had to wait in a huge line and could spend over half an hour waiting, luckily Jose was the best, he had a big smile always and was eager to make you whatever you asked him for with the best attitude. The other restaurant opened for breakfast was more of a grab & go concept, so basically you had one fair option to have breakfast. Brian; pool waiter was not very friendly and also when we asked him for an extra umbrella; so we could seat near our family members, he literally told us "You have to check with the pool concierge and besides those umbrellas are very heavy" So my family HAD to pay extra for a pool cabana, when we could have been together if they would have bring us the extra umbrella. Thankfully Carlos, at the opposite side of the pool was the best! So please, give this man a huge bonus and he should train the other waiters. The hotel is not very well constructed because by 3 pm the hotel shadowed the pool area, pool area is not big enough, no natural air running at some areas as in other beach front hotels, so again you could either burn to death for lack of umbrellas and shade at the pool area or you moved around after 3 pm, to catch the sun.. Worst architect ever made this hotel. Lack of maintenance in some rooms. I am giving this review a 3 star, just because (except of Brian) everyone went up and beyond to be super friendly. Food was great, drinks so - so (depending on what you ordered) 4 cheese pizza at the Italian restaurant for dinner is a must.

Eh, it was OK
The Good Beautiful location, great beach, absolutely enormous pool with plenty of chairs, reasonable amount of activities. The kid's club was a standout if you have young children. Spa was great. The Bad Food was not a highlight and service was not what you would expect from a Hyatt location. Property is relatively small compared to other all-inclusive in the area. Specialty restaurants requiring reservation were cumbersome even though they were all half-empty. App often displayed wrong information. If the service was better I could forgive many of the other items.
