Paradisus Cancún is a beautiful hotel in front of the beach with five pyramids and several good restaurants.

All restaurants were excellent except for Flora that served us raw and cold octopus. Besides, the best plates required an extra charge. If you’re advertising an All Inclusive, it should be ALL. There were several employees that went out of their way to help us. Ex: Charly Encinas. He was always available to make sure our stay was going smoothly. Ramiro and Johnny were very good waiters for breakfast.

    Very bad

This is my 28th time in Cancun, been to Melias before, great service and quality so I have always wanted to visit this property. There were absolutely no chairs after 8AM (except if you want to rent a bed for $250) People were laying down on the cement, grass and sand all day long.Precensed a couple of verbal fights over "chairs" with children present. VIP had absolutely no benefits at this property (only check in) Requested early arrival late departure, not available. After waiting 2 hrs for my room, I got a freshly painted room triggering my wife's asthma. The food was very, very bad. Poorly managed property, very overcrowded with just one buffet operating for breakfast and lunch (15-20 minute line forms outside. The staff did its best with what they had but absolutely not a 5-star resort, for the money you can do way better elsewhere. Sour taste and a bad experience overall. First time we have encountered these conditions after vacationing in Mexico for the past 20 years. Melia broke our hearts this time. Advise anyone looking at this property, please and save them the hassle. All guests we interacted with shared the same sentiments.

    Excellent Resort

We did the Reserve side and believe it was well worth it. From check in to check out everything was great. Resort was clean as well as ocean view room. Oscar at Sente for breakfast was a great way to start the day, his smile and kindness made it a great experience. David and Victor at the reserve pool went above and beyond to make sure our day went well, from extra towels to Bali beds . Restaurants had enough selection to satisfy most peoples choices. Sal and Lemon Fish being our favourites. We found staff professional and courteous . The only disappoint to our fantastic week was the our Concierge that was assigned to help us. No contact was made to us unless we contacted him. Others did not have the same problem.

Paradisus Cancun - A Wonderful and Memorable Experience

We liked the theme and building layout—it feels more like a resort with a relaxing green atmosphere both inside and outside. That said, the entire building welcome a full renovation, which is scheduled for later this year. They’ve been patching things up, but that simply isn’t enough. I’m looking forward to seeing a completely refreshed look, inside and out, that meets guests’ expectations. We visited during their winter, and the indoor temperature was just right for us. Some reviews mentioned certain areas being too warm and humid, but we didn’t experience that. However, we can’t speak to how it feels during the summer. We enjoy pickleball, and with the game's growing popularity, we suggested that they add at least one or two pickleball courts—especially since neighboring resorts already have them. That said, we were still able to do pickleball drills almost every day, and the tennis court served our purpose. The staff were mostly friendly and helpful with smiles, and they didn’t push for tips, though they were certainly welcomed! They do try to sell activities and excursions, but a simple “no, thank you” is enough, and they’ll leave you alone if you’re not interested. Even the beach towel attendants promote activities, but again, a polite refusal is all it takes. Some guests might find this intrusive, but we were fine with it—they were friendly and respectful. Restaurant staff were also mostly warm and welcoming, though a few seemed exhausted at times. One area that could use improvement is food handling. Based on our observations, there were several instances where standards could have been higher, especially when compared to cruise ships or North American standards. We were cautious when selecting food and drinks to avoid any issues, as one should always be when visiting Cancun. We had no incidents at Paradisus. Our stay at the resort was truly exceptional, thanks to Irma from guess relation. From the moment we arrived, she went above and beyond to ensure everything was smooth and enjoyable. At check-in, we were taken to the front desk on the other side of the lobby by a staff member, but we felt completely lost. Our room wasn’t what we had booked, and the front desk didn’t provide any hotel information—such as the WiFi password, how to access activities via their app, and more. Thankfully, Irma stepped in, promptly arranging a room change and making sure we felt welcomed and taken care of. Even though she had only been at the resort for about four months, Irma was incredibly knowledgeable about its facilities and systems. She spoke excellent English and was always ready with helpful information. Throughout our stay, she kept in touch with us via WhatsApp, assisting with dinner reservations and ensuring we had everything we needed. She even checked in after our Uber rides back to the resort to make sure we arrived safely. Her kindness extended beyond logistics—she often stopped by to chat with us by the pool, making us feel truly at home. Irma’s warmth, attentiveness, and dedication turned what could have been a frustrating start into a wonderful and memorable experience. Irma was undoubtedly a valuable asset to Paradisus. Thank you, Irma, for everything!

    Highly recommend!

It’s my second time at Paradisus Cancun. This time I brought the family, so we have little kids and grandparents. Everyone had a great time. The resort is beautiful inside and out. Maids did fantastic jobs! Our rooms were clean and comfortable each day. All the staff are courteous and friendly. Room service waiters were so helpful, came back and brought us water bottles when I told him we had ran out. Buffet waiters at Malva were especially nice. I couldn’t remember all the names unfortunately, but Pasquale, Roberto and Claudio were just 3 out of many wonderful waiters. They made sure our big group got everything we wanted. Pools and activities were a lot of fun. Definitely recommend this resort!
