  Disgusting beach; nice rooms.

  Beach is a disgusting mess. Do not go here for beach access. In fact every resort on this strip is the same. Very misleading to advertise a beautiful beach and ocean activities when clearly that doesn't happen. The smell was absolutely revolting.

  Wonderful hotel

  Returned from a fabulous holiday the hotel is just fabulous everything you would need in either a couples or family holiday. The locations is not far from the airport . The first impression is very welcoming. Check in is very smooth. The room was a little tired and very dark but we don’t stay in the room and does not reflect in the rest of the hotel which is very well kept. Room was kept spotless by housekeeping the fridge in the room was kept stocked at all time. Food is very good quality all the restaurants are wonderful with very helpful staff nothing was too much trouble. Bar drinks were very good quality waiters always looking after you if glasses were empty. It was seaweed season so the beach was not really on the cards by they were working to clear but didn’t really spoil the holiday as the pool was fabulous. The experience team worked very hard very hard with daily shows at the pool, The staff are all happy to be there which shows thought out the hotel as they all work hard to give you a experience.

  Pleasant but not 5*

  Pleasant stay, but not 5*! We had a lovely room, swim out room facing the ocean. However, the beach is not in a great way. There is thick seaweed all along it which smells horrific at times when the wind blows. You can’t get in the ocean at all, unless you walk further down (about 10 mins) it’s a bit better but still not great. This put a dampener on the ocean facing room, although if beach was in good use it would be stunning. Main pool areas nice, with good drinks served at swim up bar. Water slides were good for kids (and some adults!) Food was lovely I must say. French restaurant was 10/10. Could have done with a little more entertainment around the pool. But overall pleasant. Friendly staff, shout out to Carlos who served us drinks to our room pool which was right by the bar on the beach. We had a nice time but I can’t say I’d return. We were slightly out of season (September) so may be different in peak season. I think the beach was the biggest let down of all. We go to Mexico for the clear waters right?! Definitely not that here. The hotel in general is clean and kept tidy. But there are leaks if it rains, some people were getting wet while eating breakfast! I was dripped on a few times while eating mine. Lobby can get extremely wet if it rains too which can be a hazard. Personal preference, rivermaya is a better location if you want a nice beach.

  Read the fine print.

  Resort & Spa I recently stayed at Dreams Sapphire Resort & Spa – All Inclusive. While there were some enjoyable moments, I also experienced several issues that I feel should be addressed. Room & Maintenance Issues Upon arrival, our room had several problems: the TV and phone didn’t work, and I received an electrical shock from a wall outlet while plugging in my charger. I had to search online to contact the front desk. Although these issues were eventually resolved, they made for a rough start to our stay. Misleading Sales Experience A staff member (possibly named Ismael or Isaac) invited us to a 90-minute tour of your 5-diamond facility, assuring us it wasn’t a timeshare pitch. We were promised a $300 resort credit. However, the presentation lasted over four hours and involved aggressive sales tactics, which disrupted our anniversary celebration and felt misleading. Coupon Confusion We were given $200 in resort coupons, but it wasn’t clear they had to be used at the time of service. When we tried to apply them at checkout, we were told they were invalid. The staff response felt dismissive and lacked empathy. Positive Highlights Despite the issues, I want to commend the nursing staff for their quick and caring response when my wife was injured. The food was excellent, especially the breakfast buffet, and most of the staff were friendly and professional. Final Thoughts While there were bright spots, the overall experience was impacted by the concerns above. I hope this feedback helps improve communication and service quality for future guests.   Do not go to Dreams Sapphire

  This report is struggling to stay clean. The enormity of sargassum was not mentioned anywhere when booking. The smell is horrific and caused headaches and skin rashes. The beach was unusable. The pool was also dirty and many of the water features weren’t turned on at all. The resort was dimly lit. At 1 am housekeeping delivered food that we did NOT order and a man was banging on our door forcefully telling me to open the door. Three female travelers were very frightened by the encounter. Will never stay at this resort again.
