Holiday from Hell
The rooms was spotless the maids cleaned everyday the pool was so dirty there was flys and debris in it everyday, the food was awful terrible shocking. Some of the staff were so rude, I got loads of flea buts from the animals in the smoking areas I choose this hotel because it has water sports included in the price but then they had a notice up all cancel because the port master was checking there license. But you could use the jet skie when you pay for them, its strikes me strange anything that's free is not available but if you paying it is. I would never return nor would I recommend it to anyone it's a shocking bad resort i complain and nothing changed, its all about becoming a member there more interested in you if you become a member

AC's in room suck.
The room AC's were not cold at all, and after complaining, they moved us to another room, which was just as bad. The buffet area was a sweat box also. The show area had no overhead fans, and we were melting at night in September, no less. This place sucks. The only place to hang out here was the sports lounge which is above the lobby bar, and had excellent AC. Anytime we were hot, we just went there to cool off. Pay more and stay somewhere else.

Fantastic Hotel with fantastic beach!
After a fantastic holiday spent at this resort, I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to thank all the staff and responsible people and share my thoughts about it. We were a group of friends and family that visited this hotel on the beginning of September, and I don’t think we could have chosen a better hotel to spend 7 amazing days. We were a bit worried about the sargassum, but the cleaning done every morning made us forget it was even there. This is not the case in some nearby hotels, where we noticed during a walk that the same care isn’t taken, resulting in an unpleasant appearance and smell on these otherwise wonderful beaches. The daily room cleaning was good, always with ‘animals’ made with towels that delighted our daughters. The outdoor areas are always well maintained, and we were able to see wildlife (capybaras, monkeys, and other animals) along the paths. One area for improvement relates to the lack of beverages in our room, especially water. We’re used to having some drinks placed in the room’s fridge, which never happened here. Regarding water, we understood that the hotel adopted an eco-friendly measure by placing a mug in the room and ‘requiring’ guests to fetch water from dispensers located in the corridors. This is a good idea for daily hygiene purposes (like brushing teeth), however, if we need cold water to drink during the night, it’s not possible, as the mug doesn’t fit in the fridge. We felt the food wasn’t very varied, but the quality was always excellent and there was always a bit of everything. We never went hungry and were always satisfied with the food and the variety available. Freshly grilled items were always available, along with pizzas, pasta, etc. The only thing we noticed at the buffet was the lack of air conditioning, which can be uncomfortable in some very hot moments. So, our suggestion is to sit near or directly under the ceiling fans. The themed restaurants we chose (Don Diego, Portofino, and Miramare) exceeded our expectations: top quality and generous portions. There’s always food available outside for those who get hungry during the day. The quality of drinks at the bars was good enough, and we were met with friendliness from all the staff in general. We also used the large pool (usually at the end of the day), which in our opinion had water that was a bit too warm. There is some daytime entertainment (although we didn’t take much advantage of it, apart from a game or two), but I must highlight the quality of the evening shows. The dancers were spectacular, with very interesting choreography. On some nights, there was also a lively area near the reception where everyone could dance. During these moments, we could even enjoy the company of the dancers who had performed just minutes earlier in the show. I can’t go without highlighting the fantastic beach that serves this hotel. We spent hours in this turquoise-colored, warm sea. As a suggestion, at this time of year, the best option is to enjoy the beach in the morning, as the wind picks up in the afternoon and the sea becomes slightly rougher. Although the beach doesn’t have the usual umbrellas, the existing trees provide more than enough shade for everyone who needs it. In conclusion, we 100% recommend this hotel and will definitely return at the next opportunity.

Lovely small complex with a beautiful beach and pools
Lovely relaxing complex with beautiful pools, our room wasn’t the one we booked as shown on the website it was a little out dated but large in size and comfortable, the buffet restaurant wasn’t our favourite but had lots to offer but the a la carte restaurants were pleasant, the beach was beautiful with white sand palm trees and clear turquoise water, also a great coffee shop on site with lots of choice in great coffees and sweet snacks , the adult pool was very relaxing apart from the Canadian lady with the husband with a Texas mustache she had some kind of jealousy issues and was attacking women on the resort accusing them of looking at her very strange husband ( me being one of them) very insulting to me and my husband as they were double our age but other than that we had a lovely time.

Room for improvement
5 out of 5 for the entertainment team! Especially Willy and Brendon.. A definite 5 for Cafe Maya with lovely coffee and pastries every morning A definite 5 for the scenery and the tropical feel, especially pre dinner drinks in the area by the reception bar, they also have entertainment there from 10.30 and you can have a lovely cocktail in a glass! A definite 5 for the beach location and the cleanliness, also very conscious of the environment. However, we were disappointed with our room 1119. Its view was a blue plastic wall, with lots of noise from 7.30am! Also lots of people being very loud at night! Sometimes 2 in the morning! The air con was so noisy as well, so that was disappointing and difficult to get used to. The restaurants were ok, Mexican was great atmosphere but food not great. We did enjoy the cosmopolitan. The international buffet was not great to be honest, we really did struggle. Please please get some air con in there, it’s so hot and humid. We had a great 2 weeks stay all in all but just some points that could be improved..
