Lovely vacation!
Had a fabulous vacation - staff was consistently kind, friendly, and patient - thank you in particular to Fabiola at Taman Sari, Isabel, and Dora in the lobby (she helped us practice our Spanish!). We were impressed every day! Our trip was relaxing and beautiful - hope we can come again!

The best around!
A wonderful resort for people who like to party or those who prefer the quiet. Great food, great staff, great rooms! The room may never feel cool enough during the really hot days, but hey you’re in a jungle in Mexico, if you wanted cold, stay north. Fun activities with a very fun Go team! The beach is great, you may deal with sargassum, but Mother Nature rules the roost as you’ll also get about 10-20 minutes of rain per day regardless of weather forecasts. If you’re at the beach, just go hang at the one of the two beach bars, and if you’re in the pool, just stay in because it’s going to blow over quickly! I felt awkward with the service having never been to an all-inclusive before, but the staff are very professional and amiable. If you’re not sure, just ask! If you’re picky about food, there’s something for everyone on all the menus, or just ask to modify what you’re having. The buffets are amazing for both breakfast and lunch, and if you’re a tad under the weather for whatever reason, try the room service, it’ll be there within 45 minutes. The minibar fridge could be MUCH colder, after a hot day out and ice-cold beer hits the spot, but the minibar fridge is just cool. But you aren’t spending a ton of time in your room anyway right? The room we got was a golden superior which came with a king bed. The bathroom area was warm for some reason, even opening up the divider and door, it was just a bit warm. The AC isn’t great either, but I was able to sleep, and I need cold to sleep, so it was tolerable. But again, you aren’t spending in a Mexican jungle, and f you want cold, go somewhere where it’s cold. We booked through a travel agent, but you can easily get everything you need booking directly with the resort. There are dress codes for all the restaurants and the Don Miguel bar, but for a couple hours the guys have to put on pants, closed toe shoes and a collared shirt. After dinner, go put on shorts and hit the bars. Though I saw some restaurants turn people away for not following the dress code and at other restaurants saw anyone able to walk in, so maybe it varies depending on who’s hosting/managing that particular restaurant. There will be some drunk and annoying people that don’t give a darn about anyone else thinking they’re the main character, but if you aren’t confrontational, grab a staffer and ask them to help. If you can’t find a pool chair because people WILL come out early and “save” a palapa for 5 hours, again ask a staffer and they’ll find you a spot, let them be the bad guy when someone comes complaining that they saved their seats for 9 hours…or just tell the drunk people to shut up, try politely at first, but sometimes you have to be an a$$hole to an a$$hole to get the message across. In the end, the Valentin is a great all-inclusive, I highly recommend going there, maybe we go in late April or early May next time to avoid some of the heat, but we WILL be back!

Amazing experience!
Had a great time here at the resort! The service is very friendly and fast. Was very impressed with how good to the food was. The swim up bars are excellent and the service is fast. Rooms are very clean as well the resort as a whole. The general vibe here is very chill and laid back with an emphasis on romance. Would definitely recommend this resort to friends, family and anyone just looking for a great time!

Great bachelor party!
I had a great stay at the resort. The food and service was tremendous! The rooms were kept clean. I really loved how big the pool area was. It never felt crowded. I would definitely come back. Special shoutout to the Dora from the PR team. She was very welcoming and friendly to my friends and I!
