What I love about this resort:
I love arriving at this hotel. It feels like you're stepping into serenity. From the minute you get to Valentin Imperial Maya there's a calming effect. It's quiet, beatiful lobby is very inviting. The grounds are lovely and well tended tropical gardens lend to the calm here. Rooms are very large, beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable. The beachfront rooms are my favorite! The french restaurant is truly unbelievable and should not be missed.
What I wish I could change:
The property is spread out and the walk to the lobby can be a bit far but they have shuttles moving around often to take you anywhere you'd like to go within the hotel grounds.
Why YOU should go:

Dress Code for Restaurant Le Marche, La Hacienda, and Lobster Pot:
For gentlemen - We recommend long pants however dress shorts or bermudas are accepted. Dress shirt, casual shoes or elegant sandals must be worn. For ladies - Long pants, capri pants, skirt, blouse, casual shoes or elegant sandals must be worn. No shorts, beach sandals, tank tops or t-shirts will be permitted.

The resort offers 8 bars which are located at the pool, within the beach area, and at the meandering swim-up pool. You will also find the lobby bar Don Miguel, cigar bar El Partagas, a Sports & Music bar, La Plaza, and bar El Palenque throughout the hotel.
