On arrival, check in was simple and welcoming. I was very impressed with the room which had a Jacuzzi tub. I had a choice of 3 pools to relax by daily, and within a few more steps, I was on the beach looking out over the turquoise water! The resort offers a diverse range of activities for everyone. The hotel is very active in reducing its impact on the envoironment. Since you're set right in the jungle here...you can partake in the eco friendly activities such as saving tortoises in Akumal and setting exotic bird species free to the wild. Discover flora and fauna, take part in guided jungle excursions, enjoy non motorized water sports on a great stretch of white sandy beach, and dance the night away...and that is just the first day!

The property is very large at 1000 rooms but that makes it easy to find a favorite place at the pool or beach to relax or not! Choose a different place at the pool or beach every day of your trip for very diverse vacation experience! The room service itself was excellent, but the menu choices were very limited. However one morning had breakfast sent to the room, it was a great way to start the day!

go:
Going into Playa del Carmen is a must if you are going to Sandos. If you venture out, stop by famous Senor Frogs. It's worth the entertainment. I recommend exploring the area after a day or two in the sun, as Mexico is surrounds by ancient history! There wasn�t a time I found myself bored at Sandos. What a value and a great escape with lots to do.
