Could not ask for more, unless you mean more time!
I had been searching around the internet to book our Caribbean vacation, trying to find the best deal for an all-inclusive, first time trip out of the US. I finally landed on cheapcaribbean.com, and boy am I glad I did!
It has been on the Today show, and offered the most and best options I could find. Right from the start, when you're booking flights, they show you pricing of a few days before and after your desired travel, making it that much easier to get the best price you can. And even then, most of the prices dropped once you clicked on them!
Reading through all the reviews of every place can be daunting, and for a while I didn't think I'd be able to decide on a resort. But you have to realize, no matter the experience, there are going to be people out there that hate everything from the start. Find the resort with the most positive reviews that speak to you and go for it, and that's what I did at the Riu Caribe.
Cheapcaribbean took care of all the hard work. Flights, travel to and from the airport, booking outside trips, it was all a breeze! When I booked, I did pay a little extra for the upgraded room, and boy were we surprised!
We take the elevator up to the top floor, and then had to walk up 3 flights because we had our own private suite, with private pool on the balcony! I don't know if I was randomly selected by cheapcaribbean or the riu caribe or what, but it looked like the entire hotel only had 2 of these rooms and we got one, and there was even a wedding taking place at the resort!
Of course, no vacation is 100% perfect (if it is, you're very lucky!). We had some small issues with the air conditioner working/leaking upon checkin, however staff/maintenance always came very soon to fix it, and it certainly didn't ruin any aspect of our vacation.
A lot of people mention the food at a lot of the all inclusives. To have that much food prepared for that many people, I think they do an excellent job. They have 3 specialty restaurants on site as well that require reservations, but the BEST food we had was during one of the normal buffet theme's (mexican night of course!) I would rank this top notch against any buffet out there, but do expect a buffet and not carefully prepared, individual dishes. They definitely have a large assortment and try to have something for everyone, 24/7.
Now for the entertainment staff. Two words: THE BEST! I don't know where they get the energy to perform like they do, but from sun up until you're ready to pass out, there's always something to do or someone to see!
To be fully honest, I don't know if our vacation would have been as amazing without getting the illest suite in the entire hotel, but somehow we did, and I have cheapcaribbean.com to thank for the best vacation of our lives!
