Would Visit Again
Beautiful, big resort. Gamaleil at the front desk was very helpful and offered excellent service. Felipe and Mishael in the Lobby Bar were wonderful! My room was clean and very comfortable with a beautiful ocean view. I would recommend this resort and would love to visit again!

2.5 star resort on a 4.5 star piece of real estate
So, another good and the bad review. And we read all of the reviews before selecting this resort, so we knew there were some issues, but figured it couldn’t that bad. The TLDR: this is a 2.5 star resort sitting on on a 4.5 star piece of land. Check-in: as others have said, it is brutal. Long lines, inefficient, and dishonest. We were delayed one day getting to Cabo because of a missed connection. Yet we couldn’t get into our room at arrival because they “needed to freshen it up”. When I pushed, freshen up became a maintenance issue that needed to be fixed. We had been traveling for 36 hours and couldn’t get into our room that we had paid for until 3pm. And they tried to give us the wrong room - we had an assigned unit. Fixed that issue while at the desk. No welcome drink, punch, or anything that you get at nice properties to start off on a good note. Water: there is a shocking lack of drinking water available given the location and heat. I would expect bottle filling stations everywhere. Not the case. They do have a~ 5 gallon dispenser at each of the pools. Room: we were in Bldg 21. It was clearly not as bad as the other buildings, but still had many issues. Only 1 of the 2 elevators worked. Shower door was so rusted that bottom hinge broke off and door was hanging. Maintenance did come the next day and repair that. Worst stocked kitchen of any timeshare that I have ever been too (we are Vistana and Marriott owners). No washer dryer. No oven or bake feature on microwave. Fridge was gross. No broom to sweep and keep things tidy. And the worst was this on-and-off booming through the ceiling vents in the suite. I think it was the AC. It sounded like a washing machine that was off balance. I will try to attach a video to hear how loud the thumping was. Almost impossible to sleep. The positive is was that the rooms were big and spacious. View was gorgeous. I like a hard bed, so it was good for me. Hot tub was nice although the tub surround was cracked a broken. Pools: a mixed bag. The sky pool was out of control. People climbing onto the tile wall and jumping from one pool down into the other. So dangerous. People taking plates of food during the pool party and eating them in the pool. Gross. The main pool by the beach is lovely but has a staff member going around in the morning, taking pictures of chairs and harassing people whose entire parties aren’t at the chairs. Really aggressive and uncomfortable. We saw people screaming and arguing with him. And they have a weird obsession with towels. There are NEVER enough at any of the pools, and they won’t let you leave the pool area with one even if you are wet. Same with the gym. Finished working out, got a fresh towel to have as I cooled down, and I couldn’t leave the gym/spa with it. Seriously??? I am not taking your freaking hand towel, but I would like to be able to wipe the sweat from my face as I walk back to my room. The wait staff at the pools are great. Restaurants: we tried eating in the sit down restaurants twice, but they don’t take reservations, so prepare for more long waits. 2 hours when we went. The marketplace is fine, although since we were not all inclusive, they add a 15% tip which isn’t really warranted. Property: the land is beautiful. Gorgeous. And I didn’t mind the hills or how big it was. That meant options and choices. We tried several pools. We walked around. And we took the shuttle to Rosé to spend a day at the beach. That is a nice option. We were a little put off by the beach attendant there who said we couldn’t bring our own beers to the beach because we were staying at a different resort, but everyone staying at Rosé had their own beer. That was baloney. Generally, the staff seems to spend a lot of time focusing on the wrong issues. I am not going to take your towels- they will all end up with housekeeping. Perhaps focusing on pool safety would be a better use of their time. And these are timeshares - one of the perks is being able to have your own food and drink. We still order plenty, but policing my bags doesn’t make me feel very welcome. And stop the nonsense with. It allowing guests to call Ubers onto the property. It makes you feel like you are getting scammed by their taxis. So much potential at the resort, but the buildings are in varying states of disrepair. The staff either doesn’t understand hospitality, or is not encouraged to treat guests in the manner that they would at a higher end property.

Old gross rooms
the rooms are so old and not kept up with. We had to change rooms three times. First one smelled and had no electricity, second time the room was flooded with one inch of toilet water. Long wait times for all Food and drinks, service hit or miss. Would not recommend.

Great way to end 2025!
We had a great, relaxing time. We were without hot water for a couple of days which was bad, but overall the experience was positive. The pillows are in serious need of an update, even after ordering from the pillow menu. Room was spacious and staff everywhere were very friendly. Could do without the people trying to get you to do the timeshare presentation. They were a little pushy and annoying. Manuel and Arizbeth at the Sky Pool made our week! They were so fun and their service was outstanding. The views were incredible and we saw so many whales.

No Bueno
Not sure why this is rated a 4.5 (Yelp rates it a 2.7) resort and let me just give you a heads up on why…it’s massive. In a bad way. Check in was a mess. Crowded and slow. Immediately after check in I was bombarded with time share harassment. The room was VERY dated. Dark and only one towel. House cleaning had a hard time replenishing anything. Hallways were gross with dishes piled up. Headed to the pool the following morning and pool towels were gone by 10:45 AM. NONE! If you do not pay for all inclusive, you will be paying for WiFi daily. What resort makes you pay for WiFi? I have never experienced this in Mexico. This resort nickels and dimes you for everything. If you do end up getting all inclusive, it starts at noon and ends at noon. For example if you depart for the airport on your last day at 3:00, your AI ends at 12. Food at this resort was below average. Our family is gluten free and ended up glutenized. Not surprised. The up charge at LaFreida was a joke. Food was mid and expensive. $78 for a “specialty marg” is insane. STAY AWAY & EFFFFEN RUNNNNN
