  Great Resort

  Great resort for the family. Food and area are outstanding. Rooms are clean and quiet. Would recommend.

  Amazing Occidental stay

  Thank you Karen in Royal Concierge, Daniel in Los Olivos, Luis , John and Daniel in Tokyo, Tito in Royal club, Irina, Augustine and Izikeal at the Royal level pool for your exemplary attention to detail and making our trip Extra special. Irina would remember our previous preferences and order among hundreds of guests! Amazing! The hotel is located is one of the most beautiful beaches and has the most amazing sunsets! The hotel staff is extremely helpful and goes out of their way to make your stay more comfortable Thanks so much for all you do and hope to see you soon again ☺️

  Great location but had an issue with the noise

  The food was very good. The room was small but adequate as we did find enough spaces to store the suitcases.We enjoyed the specialty restaurants where the service was much better than in the buffet area. Check in and check out worked well. The main issue was the noise in the restaurant and around the pool. We even met a couple who were leaving early because of the noise.

  Great all-inclusive beach vacation

  Overall very good experience, hotel is a bit older but has received some face lifts to keep it fairly fresh. We stayed at this hotel a few years ago so knew what to expect - we stayed on the Royal Club level which gives you special access to the Royal bar / restaurant and private beach area. Beach here is really nice which is one of the main reasons we returned. Restaurants are generally very good - although the buffet got pretty busy on the weekend when there was a large wedding on site, especially considering this is the shoulder season so usually not too busy. All the employees were very positive and helpful, whether front desk, bartenders, restaurant greeters and wait staff or housekeeping; we also had pretty good waiter service on the beach - many other hotels are pretty bad at that (although tipping helps too!) Couple of observations (I already told the hotel): -they don't have a proper coffee station set up in the morning for people that just want a quick coffee to go, have to go through the buffet area to get one -front desk does not do a good job of providing small pesos for dollar exchange - if you want to tip best to bring the funds with you in advance (or I guess you could go out to a local bank, there is one just down the road by the shopping mall) - we found the employees do appreciate any tips you give them. Overall was a good experience and would return (at the right price, of course)

  Relax, Indulge and Make New Friends

  Our first trip to the Occidental Nuevo Vallarta was wonderful and we plan to return. The all-inclusive offering was also a first for us and it allows you to try new types of food and drink which is a lot of fun. The staff is friendly, helpful and you can tell they have been well-trained and want to make sure each guest has an amazing time. Here’s to hoping Nestor is the person who greets you when you arrive. He made us feel at home immediately, walked us to check-in when he learned it was our first visit, and also took care of our luggage when we checked out but had time for lunch before departing.
