Best resort
Best resort we've been to. All staff were very friendly and helpful with everything we needed. Alexandre and Junior (the butlers) are by far the best, they always made sure our stay was the most comfortable and enjoyable. Juan the bartender in the swim up pool always remembered what drink we wanted and had them ready for us. 5 star hands down, best resort.

4.5-Star Stay – Excellent Overall, Better Suited for Adults Only
Overall, Majestic Mirage delivered a very strong 4.5-star experience. Had we traveled adults-only, this would have easily been a 5-star stay. However, since the resort is advertised as family-friendly, I have to be honest and slightly deduct due to how limited and inconsistent the kid-friendly experience actually is. Out of all the buildings on the property, only the two farthest from the beach are designated as family-friendly. That would have been fine, except that during our stay there were two weddings hosted directly in front of our building. One night the music went until about 11:30 p.m., and even with the balcony door fully closed, the music was clearly audible in the room and even over the phone. When I called reception, the concierge initially asked if my balcony door might be open. I opened it to demonstrate how loud it was, and to his credit, he apologized immediately. Within five minutes, the music at the wedding was turned off, and they agreed it was unusually loud. The issue was handled well, but it shouldn’t have occurred in the designated family area. Another odd setup was the pool access. Out of all the pools on the resort, kids only have access to one, while the other five are adults-only. Strangely, the kids’ pool is also the one with the bar, partying, and intoxicated guests, which felt counterintuitive for a family zone. That said, the pools themselves were clean and well maintained. The beach was amazing for the first three days—clear, beautiful, and exactly what you hope for in Punta Cana. After that, we had a full day storm that completely flooded the beach with seaweed, the worst I’ve personally ever seen. This was obviously not the hotel’s fault, and staff were out cleaning non-stop. Still, we avoided the water for about two days, which was disappointing. By our final day, the beach was back to being amazing again. Guests also have access to the neighboring Majestic property, which was a big plus. It’s about a five-minute walk and includes a pirate-themed water park and kids’ club, with all snacks included—very convenient. The shows were enjoyable, and the plaza had a great nighttime vibe suitable for all ages. The coffee shop and ice cream spot were also excellent and easy to access. Service truly stood out. Reception staff and butlers were exceptional. On one occasion, fresh towels didn’t arrive after a call to housekeeping, but when I messaged our butler directly, he brought six fresh towels almost immediately for my daughter and me. Aside from that, housekeeping did a great job overall. Food was very good, with the buffet being the standout—easily 10/10. The teppanyaki was outstanding and one of the best I’ve had, not just at resorts. There was one restaurant that required a reservation (the French restaurant), and unfortunately it was disappointing compared to the rest. The resort was clean throughout. Alcohol quality was excellent, with plenty of bars and variety, and the martini bar was particularly good. The only real red flag was the bazaar vendors. One attempted to sell me a silver necklace for $380 USD and nearly chased after me when they dropped the price to $80 and I still declined. I avoided the area after that, and fortunately they seemed to only be present for a night or two. Otherwise, the resort was refreshingly hassle-free—I wasn’t constantly approached for massages or braiding services, which was a relief. The staff were some of the best I’ve experienced—friendly, attentive, and respectful of personal space. I tipped generously throughout the trip because it was genuinely deserved. Overall, this was a great stay, and I would absolutely return—especially as an adults-only trip, or with clearer expectations when traveling with kids.

Fun experience…loved the people and the beach!
This was a difficult one to rate on a five point scale. There were things that we loved so much, like the buffet and friendly service (mostly). Then there were a couple of moments when we were really disappointed. I will sum it up like I always do with pros and cons. We stayed four nights (five days). Adult side. 👌👌👌 Pro Tips 👌👌👌 1. Take your big Yeti or bottle. The bar will fill it with whatever you want. This limits you getting tiny drinks and having to constantly tip and get refills. 2. Get ones before you come to DR and use them to tip. 3. This we learned from our new friends on the beach. KEEP your beach towel from the day before. Then take it down early in the morning and claim your chair! Take the Towel clips so they don’t blow away! 4. Steak restaurant... go when they open or go at 9 pm. Otherwise, you will wait for a long time. Hours. 5. Sunscreen is plentiful in gift shops, and very expensive. Take your own. 6. Majestic Mirage includes golf. Therefore, it’s slightly more expensive… or so we were told. Majestic Elegance and Majestic Colonial do not include the golf. 🌴 Fairly close to Punta Cana airport. 🌴 We liked the buffet so much we ate there all but one time. For dinner. We ate breakfast there daily. We also liked the VIP Adult only lounge area near beach to grab food for beach and ate at the sea safe restaurant. 🌴 There is a grill chef on the beach..literally.. on the beach.. grilling up food for lunch. Also wonderful. 🌴 Beach service. Those guys and gals were working their tails off with a smile. It was hot, crowded, and they genuinely seemed to like their jobs. 🌴 The little coffee cafe has some amazing coffee bevies and will make whatever you want. 🌴 They do a good job of cleaning up the seaweed every morning on the beach. It is a realistic cleanup and they can only do so much. 🌴 Welcomed with cool washcloth that smells lovely. 🌴 snacks and bevies available at check in. Great after day of travel 🌴 They can arrange all transportation - Majestic Go seemed to be on their A game….. see below 🌴 The rooms are a good size. See below for bathroom comment. But they are comforatble and we loved our rooftop jet tub and cabana. We went up their twice to use it but went up sevreal times for the view. It DOES rain most mornings, would NOT recommend leaving swimsuits or towels up there. Also gets windy. 🌴 Loved our balcony. We were on fourth floor. 🌴 Montero our butler. Such a nice guy. We were pretty low maintenance and he found us everyday to check on us. He shared with us about his family and some other things and it just made us feel like he is truly a good dude. He was a highlight. 🌴 The staff in general. They smiled, greeted us, were pleasant, joked, it was such a refreshing change from last all inclusive that we stayed at. Jose at Majestic Go was great. 🌴 They are constantly working on keeping the landscaping and property clean. And they are quiet about it. 🌴 Gigantic bottle of water for making coffee and brushing teeth. And they saw we used a lot of water and left us a ton. 🌴 Room smelled lovely after they cleaned it. 🌴 M massage at the spa was lovely. Isabel was wonderful. The hydrotherapy pool spa experience was a hoot and the man coordinating and getting us through everything was only one working in there and he was hustling like a drill sergeant. Watching HIM was entertaining and because of him, I actually did the cold plunge and went under three times. If he hadn’t been on me, I wouldn’t have done it and realized how wonderful it really feels. He was very nice and didn’t force anyone to do anything they didn’t want to do. There are all these stations you go through to experience . It was fun. And home of their only hot tub. Con’s / room for growth 🌞 We enjoyed the beach and I enjoyed the people. Got to know our beach neighbors. So that was a plus. BUT, the solicitors on the beach are nonstop. They are friendly and generally leave you alone once you say no but man…. It was relentless. The cigars are fake. HOWEVER, they are not that bad. But talk them way down. They are not genuine. Nor is the jewelry. I felt bad for the iguanas and parrots. You can hold them… but if you want a picture, you pay. NEVER give guy your phone. Do. Not. Do . It. You will need to pay to get it back. The beach massages. She actually was really good. I had an hour. We settled on price, and then there was “tax”. Just be cautious. Also, they sell exclusions on the beach…. Parasailing, party boats, etc. BE CAUTIOUS. These are known not to be safe and are NOT a part of the resort. Majestic Go through resort will use vetted and approved companies for these things. You don’t want to parasail on a piece of crap. 🌞We flew down right winter storm Fern was hitting the USA. GREAT timing for us. However, we knew that we would be flying home to Charolette in the midst of this. Then the cancelations were going to be more and more likely. Two days before check out, we went to the Mirage Club check in / check out area and asked if our room was available for one more night. The gentleman said that it was and gave us the price . He even said there were regular rooms available at a lesser rate and gave us the rate. We then worked with airline and confirmed rescheduled flights. My husband went back to Mirage Club check in early the next morning to extend stay by one night. He was told there were no more rooms with no sympathy. Zero desire to assist, give advice, and when he asked about the Majestic Elegance and Majestic Colonial (same company right next door) they didn’t even look. Just said no. And that was that. We spent a significant amount of money to stay and wanted to do things right. Not even telling us where we could go to GET assistance was very off putting and a real bummer. Montero wasn’t in yet or we are sure he would have helped us. But we ended up spending our whole morning trying to find another place to stay. We ended up booking at Live Aqua Punta Cana. I will review that next. Jose at Majestic Go was very helpful in arranging all of our transportation to next resort and from that resort to airport. A little compassion and help from Mirage Club check in staff would have gone a long way. 🌞 The bathroom. The room with the actual toilet is TINY. There is no exhaust fan and if you’re tall, your knees may touch the wall if you sit on toilet. :) The metal door handle on ours was SO LOUD. When we opened and closed the door it was enough to wake up whoever was sleeping at night. Also common in the DR, the door is a glass door that is frosted. You can see what’s going on in there. Could be awkward for a new couple of two friends sharing a room. ;) 🌞 I wish the trash can in the room was bigger. LOL 🌞 This could be a pro…. But when we got to room and I checked out shower, they use bleach to clean. If sensitive to smells, or bleach, this could be a big con. I personally, found it to be a pro that they clean with it. There are likely many more things I could write about but these were the main points. Hope this is helpful!
