Extremely unsafe experience resulting in medical emergency. My sister cut her foot open on glass in the main family pool while holding her 10 month old child requiring immediate stitches. The hotel refused to take accountability and cover the medical bills incurred (4 months of doctors visits) In addition, there were several lose tiles in the pool and the filters around the pool were mostly cracked leading to very unsafe conditions for families and kids. They do not care about safety and will not take ownership if you are hurt at their property due to dangerous conditions.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE DO NOT GO
HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE – UNSAFE HOTEL AND COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I would strongly caution anyone considering staying at this hotel. During my stay, I suffered a serious injury when my foot was cut by a piece of glass while getting out of the hotel pool with my 10 month old baby. I immediately required multiple stitches, which had to be done on-site, and resulted in hundreds of dollars in medical expenses. What has made this experience even worse is the hotel’s complete lack of accountability. I have been trying to get this situation addressed with hotel management for MONTHS. Despite repeated attempts to communicate with them, they have failed to take ownership, provide a reasonable resolution, or demonstrate any genuine concern for what happened. Accidents can happen, but how a hotel responds to a guest being injured on its property speaks volumes about its management and standards. Finding glass around a pool is a serious safety concern. The complete lack of follow-through after a guest sustains an injury requiring stitches is simply disgraceful. I should never have had to spend months chasing a hotel to acknowledge a serious injury that occurred on its property. Instead of taking responsibility and working toward a resolution, they have chosen to ignore the situation. I would never stay here again, and I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Your safety should be a basic priority when choosing a hotel, and based on my experience, this property has failed miserably in that regard. Absolutely unacceptable.

Stay far away, especially if you have children!!
Stay far away from this hotel. If you’re thinking about bringing your family to Majestic Mirage Punta Cana, please read this first. We booked our annual family vacation here with our infant and toddler and paid more than $10,000. The problems started right away. The rooms were dirty, nowhere near what you’d expect from a resort at this price. One of our rooms flooded and we had to switch rooms. The food was bad, and several people in our group had serious stomach problems during the stay. With two babies, that alone makes a trip miserable. Then it got much worse. On May 15, my wife’s foot was sliced open by a sharp object on the floor of the family pool, the pool meant for young children. Our babies could just as easily have stepped on it. She was bleeding heavily. I ran to two staff members for help, and neither showed any real urgency. She needed stitches. That day, staff told us the resort would cover her medical bills. No one inspected the pool, identified what cut her, or gave us an incident report. Whatever was left of our vacation ended that day. Back home, it got worse. For nearly two weeks my wife couldn’t lift, carry, or bathe our children. She needed a follow-up visit for worsening pain and an X-ray. Months later, her foot still hurts. For five months we did everything the resort asked: medical records, invoices, bills, written statements. Every follow-up got the same polite non-answer. Then, instead of an answer, we got a letter from the resort’s lawyers. It described my wife’s injury as an “inconvenience” and rejected our claim because we couldn’t prove exactly what was on the pool floor. Think about that. The resort never inspected its own children’s pool after a guest was cut badly enough to need stitches. Now it uses the fact that nobody knows what was there as its excuse. Beyond the stitches that day, they have offered nothing toward her medical care, despite what we were told in person. Dirty rooms, a flooded room, food that made us sick, a dangerous children’s pool, and a resort that hid behind its lawyers when a guest got hurt. There are many resorts in Punta Cana. Choose any of them over this one.

My son and I had a great time at Majestic Mirage! We went during Halloween week, which is when I always travel, and the Halloween festivities here were by far the best I’ve seen at any of the hotels I’ve stayed at. They really went all out, and it made the trip that much more fun! The hotel was nice, the food was good, and the staff were friendly. The beach was also fairly clean of sargassum while we were there, which was a bonus! A special shoutout to our butler, De Leon (#4), who checked in on us regularly throughout our stay to make sure everything was going well. Anytime we had an issue, he made sure it was taken care of quickly, and we really appreciated that. Overall, we had a great stay, and the Halloween celebrations definitely made it extra special. We made some great memories, and I’d definitely consider coming back!

My husband and I had another wonderful vacation at the Majestic Mirage Oct 10-28! This was our 4th visit to the Mirage Club, and we’ve been to the Majestic Elegance Club about 6 times. We contacted our previous Mirage Club Butler Elvis through WhatsApp before we arrived, and he secured the room and building that we requested and helped us out during our stay! You should ask for Elvis!! He is courteous and professional! We love the Majestic Mirage for its large rooms, amazing food, great beach and service everywhere at the resort! The employees are friendly, helpful and always smiling and here are a few names who made our stay so perfect and put smiles on our faces: Elvis, Juan and Gustavo (both Mirage Club bartenders), Stephanie in the Mirage Club lounge who served our breakfast most days, Israel and William waiters at the Italian resto, Jocelyn our daily maid, Joey the Mirage bartender and dinner hostesses Lisetta and Keila. Also when we walked through the Majestic Elegance to the casino, Manuel the bartender recognized us and came to say hi! The entertainment and shows were really great and the food at all the restaurants was amazing with superb and prompt service! There are more employees to mention but I don’t have all their names. Book the Majestic Mirage, Mirage Club! You will be very happy you did!
