    False Advertising Bahia!

I am currently at the resort with 5 more days ahead of us. When I say this resort is lack luster, and far from “luxury” is the understatement of the century. Firstly their rooms need some major updating and modernization. In the first 2 days we’ve had no hot water and no power for several hours. They “upgraded” us to an ocean view and we got a view of a cement wall instead. The entertainment and night life is minimal at best. Best of luck booking an al a carte restaurant. Somehow everything is all booked all week long, but all the restaurants are 1/2 empty. However for the low price of $195 USD they can miraculously get you dining table a speciality restaurant. This place is a big mafia. They want to scam you out of more money when you have already paid a pretty penny for a “luxury” all inclusive experience. There is nothing inclusive about this resort. It’s false advertising! If I wanted to experience mediocre buffet food all week I could have paid a fraction of the price elsewhere. The staff are also next level useless at the guest experience- never solution focused or accommodating unless you’re willing to pay extra. The front end staff is a poor representation of an international brand. If you have an upcoming trip booked at this property, reconsider if you can. Me and my group of 22 will not be returning! Do better Bahia!

Would not recommend for couples or big family group.

I rate it a strong 1 To start the rooms are outdated and have holes in the floor, light fixtures that have wire exposed and breaking when u try to turn them on … the ac was ok but not strong enough. The food was impossible to book a restaurant so it’s false advertisement to say it’s included in what you are paying for. They will not give you a restaurant reservation you end up eating buffet every single night, every single lunch and every single breakfast. The food does not change. It’s always the exact same thing. No theme night or change to the menu. The beach was beautiful, but could’ve been cleaner. There was always pieces of glass and pieces of plastic in the sand. . I like that they have one place where you can swim and see the fish without too much current hitting you. That’s the only good thing. The service from the staff was almost horrendous other than the staff in the buffet that work . Front desk is borderline useless never mind how awful guest experiences with one little tiny side booth There was one excursion tour that we did that started in the resort which was amazing ( ATV and Cenote snorkelling )(led by Venessa and Diego) and our spa experience with the massage was one of the best I ever had. In conclusion me and family of 18 people that was there will not be returning to any Bahia resorts for the time being

    Mediocre resort

We are a family of 10 - 4 parents and 6 young adult kids that are part of a group of 50 plus people for a wedding. The resort is extremely large and consequently it takes time to get anywhere. They are in the middle of a major reno but it doesn’t really get it the way. The new rooms are nice but nothing special. Just a redo of old rooms. There is no lobby bar so you have to leave the lobby in the evening to go find a drink. Odd. The new beds are hard as rock. The food is ok but very hard to book the a la cartes. They seem to be booked way ahead of time and despite all the ones we were in -3- being 39-40% empty they would not let you in if you didn’t reserve ahead except it always said they were booked. We were only able to eat together as a family 3 nights which was rather unfortunate. The bars were all OK. Standard stuff. Long waits at the pool bars. Sometime 25-30 minutes. Not terrible but mediocre at best.

    Unimpressed!

Hotel was too big for my liking ( needed to shuttle from room to lobby) a-la-carts were completly booked up so we were unable to book any ahead. When we got a cancellation at one for 530pm the restaurant was half empty our entire meal! Staff were excellent, friendly, and courteous. We probably wont go back to Mexico but if we do we wont stay here

    Will not recommend

I would rate this resort as 1 and the service was lacking in all aspects of the resort. I was traveling with an infant and toddler and 4 adults. When I needed something for my kids like water bottles excuses were made and or they would give 1 or 2 bottles for 6 people. The room service doesn’t even pick up their phone and if they do they won’t follow through with your request. They wouldn’t show up with what you needed, we would have to call again and again. The cleanliness of the resort is terrible. Our tap stopped working in the middle of the night and in the morning when it did start working dirt came out of this. They did change our rooms which we really appreciate but those rooms too were lacking cleanliness. There were bugs in the shower that weren’t cleaned and the sink also had stains which disappeared when we started using it so clearly it was dirty. The play structures also need close attention. The service at the buffets were very slow and pool side didn’t even have anyone come and ask if we wanted a drink. I can go on and on about our experience but overall terrible experience and will not go back especially with kids.
