    Always a great vacation

    I often travel to the Bahía resorts and this one is worth the money. Everyone here is helpful and quick to serve . Victor and Alex alejanadro were top notch service during my stay !

    Swim-Out Room Was the Only Highlight — Everything Else Fell Apart

    We were really disappointed with our stay. The food was by far the worst part — nothing from the buffet was ever hot, and most of the dish labels were incorrect, which made it frustrating to figure out what we were even eating. Even though we stayed for 10 days, we were only able to book three restaurants, so we were mostly stuck with the buffet experience. The one positive was our updated swim-out room, which we actually really liked. However, there were bugs in the room and we woke up with bites on our legs every morning. There’s also a lot of construction going on around the resort, which made getting around inconvenient and less relaxing. The pools and beach are nice, but you can find that at a lot of other resorts — ideally ones that also serve hot food and don’t have so many issues. The best meal we had all trip was actually off the resort on Fifth Avenue. Also, while not the hotel’s fault, we encountered a lot of rude guests, which didn’t help the experience. Overall, we wouldn’t return and would recommend looking elsewhere.

    Perfect Vacation and Wedding!

    We came here for our wedding and it was the perfect day! The staff make you feel so special and take care of everything you need. We used JJ Studios for our wedding photos and Joel was such a pleasure to work with! The photos turned out beautiful, better than we could have imagined! He was kind and professional on our wedding day, and captured our day beautifully! We had a great vacation and wedding day!

    another great trip to our happy place.

    waited a few weeks before posting this so i could get my thoughts straight. I have been going to this resort over 20 years (before COBA or SIAN KIAN were even built) and i obviously have seen lots of changes, some good and not so good! they started renovations on the villa's back when we visited in April of this year and they were close to being finished on this trip but not yet. i did notice they added allot of swim out pools on the lower level of several of the villa's which will be nice when completed. this renovation impacted the resort big time, not so much the service because everyone at the resort is fantastic but in the resources available as i think i heard they had some 200 plus rooms impacted so obviously they cant run business as usual. here are some examples - i stayed in villa 66 and the bar right outside villa 66 was not open the entire week i was there. also the main restaurant my villa 66 Katok was not open for Breakfast any day during my trip and was only open at night two out of the seven days we were there. i noticed this also about other restaurants as well as Frutos del mar was never open the same night as Dolce vita it was one or the other. we understood and simply worked around these inconveniences during our stay and still had a fantastic time, the restaurants we did get reservations at were fantastic, the couple of days we ate at the buffet was great especially Friday which is steak and lobster night. not busy at all due to all the rooms being renovated and staff was smaller which is understandable and all were awesome. booking for next April again soon. hoping to see the final renovations completed.
