    Beautiful Setting and Staff

We’ve been visiting this resort for over five years. Over that time we’ve been consistently impressed by the beautiful property; 20 acres of mangroves, palm trees, bright colored buildings/paths, and wildlife. The massive pool isn’t heated but it’s consistently a positive vibe with entertainment, a swim-up bar, ice cream stand, etc. We will always plan travel around experiences and food. The experience of coming to this resort has changed for the positive to include waterslides while continuing to offer rotating daily entertainment (nightly shows are hit or miss) and features like fitness amenities and a shopping center (albeit significantly overpriced ($52 sunscreen)). The food has also evolved since we’ve been going there. The variety and quality for breakfast, lunch, and dinner is excellent for an all-inclusive. However, they struggle occasionally to keep the food stocked and hot on the buffets. In between meals they have a phenomenal drink program (included) with craft cocktails, and the Star Cafes operate like Starbucks throughout the day. We continue to be loyal to Iberostar because of the people. Even when the food isn’t stocked, entertainment is lacking, etc. the people operate as the heartbeat of a memorable experience. Specifically, Moises serves at El Rancho breakfast buffet and the poolside lunch budget. He offers exceptionally attentive service and is guaranteed to keep the positive vibes going throughout your meal. Meanwhile head to the Lindo lobby (as we do daily) for drinks. Cristobal is a master mixologist and Lucy (Luz) is the friendly, knowledgeable waitress you’ve been waiting for. Lucy and Irma (at the larger buffet for breakfast and lunch) have found a way to connect with us personally while we vacation in their world for 8 days each year. Bottom line: come for amenities, natural beauty, and food/drinks…return for people like Moises, Irma, Cristobal, and Lucy!!

Very nice hotel, restaurant booking could be better.

The hotel is very nice and we had a great time with the family. Pools, beach, rooms, food, drink all very good. Just two improvement points; 1. Restaurants difficult to make reservations. We arrived on a Saturday and were told that the restaurants which required reservations were all booked until Thursday. 2. We had arranged a cot and a baby bath but they were not in our room. This was very disappointing after a very long journey. Overall it’s a good hotel and we enjoyed our stay.

Great property, fantastic people but come prepared.

We spent a week at Paraiso LIndo in the middle of February. It was a nice mini vacation; however, there are things one should keep in mind when selecting this destination. The location is fabulous, right on the Caribbean Sea coast. The property has several beautiful pools a nice private beach. Paraiso Lindo is adjacent to other Iberostar properties, and the whole complex is mammoth in size. There is a show every night, several restaurants, food being prepared by the side of the pools, and many places to get good drinks. The rooms are generous, nicely designed and equipped (this is not your Marriott Suites!) and the whole property is squeaky clean. However, getting back to my original point, not everything is perfect. So, consider the following: First, pack everything you need. There are gift shops here, but they will charge you your firstborn son for anything you need. A can of sunscreen set you back 50 bucks. A floater for a kid, another 50. A little cover for a lady's sunbathing suit set you back 70 bucks. Needless to say the gift shops are deserted (one of the puzzles: why not lower prices and get some business going, huh, Iberostar?). Second, while the food is fresh and nicely presented, this is not a foodie paradise. Most of it is bland, under-seasoned, and just poorly done (ever tried sweet Tzatziki sauce, or salmon on a sweet roll?). The good news is that Mexican dishes are between good and excellent. Third, although the resort advertises several restaurants, we found it difficult to book a table (and where we were successful, we found the place almost empty; not sure why). The place has a feel of a cruise ship: lines to the morning buffet, mad dash to grab a lounge chair at the pool, etc. Having said that, you will never find nicer people anywhere on this God’s green Earth. Not all the staff are fluent in English, but they make it up with their hearts. The property itself is beautiful, the greens are well-maintained, and you see flamingos, peacocks, and Koi ponds. Trained falcons are used to scare away seagulls and other pests,. There is also wildlife coming to steal your lunch or just attention.

It’s paradise, with so much to do!

Just finished five nights at Lindo and it was fabulous! We loved the resort, the excellent staff, the food, the pools and everything. We swam in the pools most of the day, everyday. The ocean was great every day except our last, when it was too windy for our kids to safely swim. We all enjoyed the lazy river, the water slides and wave pool as well. We brought our own inner tubes for the lazy river and were glad we did. It was beautiful and peaceful and we did several laps around it every day. We couldn’t get reservations to any of the reservations-only restaurants, which was too bad, but we did really enjoy the Greek restaurant and Under the Sea, which are first come, first served. The buffet by the beach/pool was great for lunch, and the main buffet for breakfast was delicious. And our kids really loved Star Camp. The indoor/outdoor playground there was awesome, and the Star Camp staff are amazing. Mini Chef cooking class there was a highlight.

    Simply Amazing

This was my first time in the Cancun area (early February 2026), and my first time at an all-inclusive resort, and I was extremely impressed. First, the property is beautiful -- clean, extravagant, spacious -- with large, beautiful pools and a good beach area that is free of seaweed. Second, the food and drink were incredible -- great variety, available at all hours (though, at different locations), all tasting superb. Third, the service was always happy, well-mannered, and willing to help. Enrique at the "Under the Sea" restaurant deserves a special mention, because he kept the Tequila flowing. As well, Johny, the bartender near the wave pool, had an infectious, positive attitude. But, overall, I've never met a harder working and happier service team, and this alone made the experience worth the money. My only minor complaint is that the pools -- so shapely and attractive -- were also rather cold. This may be the result of the time of the year, but, as a result, I didn't see a lot of people in the pools, and I didn't go in much either.
