Mediocre Vacation

Our experience at the Grand Palladium was not spectacular by any means. We were upgraded to the Lady Hamilton which was the best part of the vacation. It was closer to everything. The rooms are nice, but housekeeping didn't clean our room until late afternoon each day even though we were out of the room by 9 am and put the sign on our door for service. We were only given slippers upon arrival and I called the desk twice asking for robes, but they never arrived. I gave up after the two phone calls and didn't really care anymore. On Saturday our room was finally cleaned by 5 pm but there were no clean towels available! Finally after a half hour and 2 calls to the desk, two cleans towels were delivered so we could shower and go to dinner. Speaking of dinner, we found the food marginal at best. The buffets all had the same food. Breakfast was the best meal because you could get an omelette or crepes made for you. Desserts all tasted the same. We had a very nice meal in the Italian restaurant so we went back. Their antipasto salad bar was great vs. some of the other salad bars (some didn't even have lettuce). However, the second time we went there, my husband had 2 creatures (most likely cockroaches) run across his plate at the salad bar and scamper into the food to join his friends. That ruined his dinner for sure! Waited over an hour in the Mexican restaurant for our food to arrive. The sushi in the Asian restaurant was very good. The coffee shop was great and we enjoyed the variety of drinks available. The infinity and adult pools were very clean and not overcrowded when we were there. The beaches were small and one was quite rocky. The staff was courteous and friendly. Plan on doing quite a bit of walking because the resort is quite large and spread out....shuttles are available! So the bottom line is that the vacation was just ok and we have no desire to return to Jamaica anytime soon!!!

25th Wedding Anniversary!

I’d like to also say that I am a man that rarely is at a loss of words or unable to express myself and/or thoughts in most situations throughout my life. However, I must say that this is one of those few times in my life that I am left absolutely speechless! I don’t know how to begin or even how to express my most sincere and deepest gratitude for everything the resort and their staff did for us prior to, during and after our wonderful and memorable stay! Their most gracious attention, tenacity for details, and their never-ending special care they showed us was absolutely and unequivocally, above and beyond the call of duty as well as completely unexpected. Their unwavering and relentless desire to ensure that our 25th anniversary celebration would be an experience something like none other... was certainly something that we will cherish and remember forever and ever.

Grand Palladium, Jamaica

We just came back from our trip, was disappointed with the service. We are not fussy travelers but were use to excellent service from other resorts. They were under staffed and not friendly at all, the meals were horrible to say the least. Waited for an hour at many seating's and left, not acceptable. The pool was pretty but none of the four hot tubs worked they were disconnected. I would not recommend this resort if you want a true all inclusive experience.

What's to Love

It's all-inclusive, all-incredible and all-irie - you're in the earth-heaven known as Jamaica.

The dreamy 86,000 sq. ft. infinity pool with in-water loungers & Jacuzzis - the largest in Jamaica.

Vegging at the Zentropia spa - Turkish baths, Finnish sauna, the refreshing footbath & oceans more.

If you're vegetarian, they've got taste bud-slaying food choices, and no reservations required at any of the restaurants.

The ever-helpful & friendly staff - they're the crowning jewel of this awesome place.

The delish Jamaican coffee in the cafe. Perfect any time.

What We'd Change

The city of Lucea is pretty quiet, but you will not need outside nightlife when the bars, theater and nightclub at the resort are happening!

Why You Should Go

It's just a half hour from airport, but in Jamaica you'll feel the vacay vibe the second you arrive.

There are sister privileges next door at the Lady Hamilton.

The Kids Club for ages 4-12 is where kiddos can meet "Raggs," one of 5 musical friendly dogs.

There's no smoking in all public covered areas on the island as per the Jamaican Health Minister.

The catamarans, kayaks, pedal boats and snorkeling are complimentary aka FREE.

For a fee, you can enjoy sailing, scuba diving, the fitness center and more.

On land, there's tennis, archery, mini-golf & for bigger greens, tee off at the Tryall Golf Course.
