Honeymoon Trip

Me and my husband just stayed in the Grand Palladium last week for our honeymoon. Our overall experience was positive. We LOVED the huge pool and how friendly everyone was. It didn't matter if it was the front desk clerk, a waitress, or the landscapers..everyone was super friendly and always said hello. One downfall we ran into were the buffets. The food wasn't all that great and they always served the same food everyday. Depending on the time you went would depend on how fresh the food was. However, the nicer restaurants were delicious! Another downfall was that our villa was the furthest one from the main pool so there was a lot of walking everyday. I recommend trying to get into villa 11-13. We have recommended this resort to our friends already. We were overall very pleased with our stay. If you are looking for a big nightlife at your resort, then this isn't your place. Only one night they had something going on. We were in bed every night at 10:00 pm bc there wasn't much to do.

Relaxed and planning next trip

Upon arriving onto the majestic compound that we called home for a week you are immediately taken aback by the warming welcome. This is why I continue to come back to this country..The beauty, the culture and the PEOPLE are amazing....The pictures do no justice of the infinity pool. My room was heaven with air conditioning on those extremely hot afternoons. I had two complaints that were minor and fixed immediately. A burnt bulb and non working remote. Really had no cares if they were even fixed.. the shuttle service to sunset cove was perfect. I will say if you are looking for the whole Caribbean beach thing that is the place to go. The small areas in front of the resort are very rocky, private however.. Where ever I went food and drinks were at my Beck and call. Never was I harassed or treated badly by any staff. Every morning greeted with a smile. We had the opportunity to finally mark off the bucket list of swimming with dolphins. A moment I will never forget.. Unlike other resorts I did not have to make reservations for dinner all based on 1st come 1st served. Avoid the crowds and eat when they open although the wait was never longer then 45 minutes. The buffet is typical buffet food. For those previous reviews I saw that was a big complaint. That is going to be everywhere, overall food was satisfying To be truly amazed the steakhouse is beyond words. Filet mignon like never before. Large portion and melted in my mouth. Looking forward to returning next year with my whole family so my grandbabies can enjoy as much as we did. Thanks Jamaica once again you did not let me down.....

The rooms and pool were great!! The food was good, but not a lot of variety. Lots of stuff to do. Staff were cordial, but not overly welcoming.

Palladium Resort Review

We went here for our honeymoon as we had never been to the Caribbean before. The pools and beach areas are very good. They're very well maintained and the pool attendants are friendly and interact with guests. The all carte dining options are pretty good, but you'd better get there early-ish otherwise there can be a wait. We tried to stay away from the buffets other than breakfast because the food is sub-par. I would also stay away from the sports bar..... Worst food I've ever had! I highly recommend the steak and Italian restaurants. The front desk staff isn't very helpful and act like they would rather be doing something else. They're snarky and a bit rude. We had issues where the power in our room kept going out (taking the A/C with it). We told the front desk and maintenance just reset the breaker, although it kept popping throughout our stay. Overall I'd say it's ok. The beach and pools make up for a lot of the negative aspects.

What's to Love

It's all-inclusive, all-incredible and all-irie - you're in the earth-heaven known as Jamaica.

The dreamy 86,000 sq. ft. infinity pool with in-water loungers & Jacuzzis - the largest in Jamaica.

Vegging at the Zentropia spa - Turkish baths, Finnish sauna, the refreshing footbath & oceans more.

If you're vegetarian, they've got taste bud-slaying food choices.

The ever-helpful & friendly staff - they're the crowning jewel of this awesome place.

The delish Jamaican coffee in the cafe. Perfect any time.

What We'd Change

The city of Lucea is pretty quiet, but you will not need outside nightlife when the bars, theater and nightclub at the resort are happening!

Why You Should Go

It's just a half hour from airport, but in Jamaica you'll feel the vacay vibe the second you arrive.

There are sister privileges next door at the Lady Hamilton.

The Kids Club for ages 4-12 is where kiddos can meet "Raggs," one of 5 musical friendly dogs.

There's no smoking in all public covered areas on the island as per the Jamaican Health Minister.

The catamarans, kayaks, pedal boats and snorkeling are complimentary aka FREE.

For a fee, you can enjoy sailing, scuba diving, the fitness center and more.

On land, there's tennis, archery, mini-golf & for bigger greens, tee off at the Tryall Golf Course.
