Not able to access à la carte restaurants due to people knowing to book prior to arrival. Excellent food and service in buffet. Many options for sitting around the 3 pools. Never had any problems finding space.

Memorable family vacation
Our family included 4 adults, a 4 year old and a toddler. This was an excellent resort for our needs. The 2 bedroom suite was perfect. The room was prepped with the requested crib and the sofa bed was made up for the 4 year old. There was always food available for us and our grandchildren. The Kid Zone food at the buffet was very creative. The family and kid pools were great fun and never too crowded. We could always find lounge chairs. I recommend this resort for families. Note: Hyatt has bought 50% of Bahía Principe so not sure what will change. I’m guessing they’ll increase prices which will be unfortunate because our trip was very affordable for the 6 of us this year.

Kids club Big shout out to the kids club! We have been to this hotel 7 times despite saying we would never stay in the same hotel twice Adriana, Guillermo, Angel, Kasandra and the rest of the team. The variety of activities, the enthusiasm and the shows are incredible. We have always been apprehensive about sending our kids to the kids club while on holiday but they truley have had the best time. The shows are truely amazing and have given the kids so much confidence. the staff somehow recognise our kids year on year. Thank you so much,

Beautiful Resort
Beautiful resort (grounds, wildlife, walking paths, beaches, so many banana trees), friendly staff, nice rooms (AC was not very functional), very clean, fun shows, great food and drinks, but too big/too many guests for us.

Feb 11, 2026STAY AWAY: Industrial Noise
Our family vacation has been completely devastated by relentless, deafening construction noise that was never disclosed to us. the sound of high-powered drilling and hammering through the walls is constant. If you are traveling with kids who need to nap, avoid this resort at all costs. It is physically impossible for my children to rest, leaving them exhausted and distressed. A "Grand" resort should provide a place to sleep, but this feels more like an active industrial work zone. To make matters worse, the customer service has been shockingly rude and incompetent. When we raised these legitimate concerns, the staff was dismissive and showed zero empathy for our situation. Instead of trying to help a family in an uninhabitable room, they were unhelpful and seemed completely untrained in basic guest relations. We paid for a luxury family escape and received a jackhammer and a headache instead. We are currently fighting for a relocation and a refund. Do not book here until they finish their project and retrain their staff.
