We love this place
This is our 14th time here. We came to Coba the first time, purchased Privlege and do a few visits each winter (out of IL winter). The people are lovely, the buffets are good keeping in mind that you need to hit the “specialty” nights for a variety. Perhaps the resort needs to be able to hold back on the over consumption on the giant cups people bring but that can be tough. We will return in January

Review
My family and I visited this resort for a four-day stay to celebrate my son’s first birthday. Unfortunately, our trip was marred by several issues from the outset. Instead of feeling relaxed, we were plagued by recurring headaches that significantly diminished our experience. While there were no standout positive aspects during our stay, the constant problems made it challenging to fully enjoy what was meant to be a simple and memorable celebration for our son. When you’re only on vacation for a few days, these issues accumulate quickly and leave a lasting impact. However, the staff members who stepped in when things went wrong helped soften the experience. Carlos Rosario, in particular, deserves recognition for his patience, professionalism, and genuine efforts to assist us. He consistently went above and beyond to improve our stay, demonstrating the kind of service every guest hopes to receive. His efforts made a real difference. Despite this positive interaction, the overall stay did not leave me wanting to return. I appreciate the hospitality and the attempts to rectify the issues, and I genuinely wish the business well. I hope the resort continues to address the areas that caused these problems, as there is potential here. Nevertheless, based on this experience, I would not personally recommend the resort at this time.

An Unforgettable Halloween
I visited this resort from October 26th 2025- November 2nd 2025 with my mum and dad. We are from UK and we have been to this resort before. This is our honest review of our experience this time. Entertainment- Edgar and Job from the entertainment team were wonderful and they deserve many compliments because they made us feel welcome and helped make our vacation special. Thank you, guys! We thought the entertainment for Halloween was excellent and the best we have experienced. We loved the costume contest and show. We enjoyed aquagym, Bingo and Spanish classes in the daytime. We think the evening shows are good but some of them are very old and need to change. Guest Service- The service we received from Fernando from Guest Services was fantastic. He worked very hard to make sure we had everything we needed. The guys at luggage service were also brilliant and helpful. We felt very well taken care of. Food- we thought the food at the Yucatan Buffet was good at breakfast and lunch but we thought the dinner was very poor because there was not enough choice. We thought Edwin was a great server and he was very attentive. We tried ‘The Truck’ for lunch but we thought the service was too slow and so we only used it once. Cleanliness- We thought this resort was gorgeous and very well cared for. Everywhere was clean and beautiful. The staff work very hard. A negative point- We saw lots of people smoking around the main pool which was unpleasant. We have reported the problem many times but I don’t think the hotel cares. Overall, we had a great time and the Halloween celebrations were incredible. We look forward to our next vacation here!

Worst experience. Food very low quality.
The initial room had mold in the shower and toilet area. The curtains and couch were stained. Tv did not work . Food was terrible except one night. Could not book and restaurants as all booked up. Got move to another room and it had mold, dirty couch and tv keep losing signal. Beds were the terrible. Not enough towels . Long lines for drinks. The beach was awesome and the pools were clean and enjoyable.

SLIPPERY - BE CAREFUL!!!!
This resort is SLIPPERY! I witnessed people slipping on the tile in the lobby and on the walkways, and the concrete by the pool area multiple times a day. I myself slipped on a small set of stairs in the main pool area and injured myself severely enough I had to go to the hospital. The buffet is full of wildlife - I saw a man get pooped on by a bird while eating his meal. Since the buffet is fully enclosed, I don't know why there are so many birds inside! The food was also a disappointment at the buffet. The A La Carte restaurants were very good. Our favourites were the Italian and the Brazilian. The bathtub in my kids' room was not clean upon arrival. Even though I had requested MONTHS IN ADVANCE to have a room with 2 beds for my 22 year old daughter to share with my 25 year old son, they gave them a room with 1 king size bed and said that was what I requested. They flat out lied to me because my travel agent confirmed that she had sent in the request properly. My son ended up sleeping on the couch. A family that I spoke to said they had booked a crib for their 10 month old baby but the resort was "all out" so the baby had to sleep in bed with the parents (not their ideal situation).
