Table for 17

Our extended family had such a wonderful time at this resort. They were able to put us all in the same building and even get dinner reservations for us! The service staff were always smiling and friendly. On the way back to our rooms one afternoon the grounds crew were trimming coconuts and gave us the coconut milk in the shells--a real treat. We joined in water aerobics, water polo, beach volleyball, etc. I would like to give the rooms 5 palms but when one of the toilets in the 3 rooms that my immediate family stayed in never seemed to work that's a deal breaker! We notified the desk and staff multiple times, in person because the phones didn't work either, then just asked for extra keys to the other rooms and shared bathrooms.

Not Too Satisfied

My family and I travel to Mexico 1-2 times every year and usually have no complaints. Most all resorts I have been to All Inclusive means All Inclusive. At this resort it does not. In your All Inclusive you only get to have 3 dinners at the restaurants that are not buffet. I didn't find this out until I checked in. Also you have to make those reservations as soon as you arrive. If you are like me you don't like to plan while on vacation. This requires you to plan out your whole week as soon as you arrive. The food whether buffet, snack bar, or the restaurants were not great at all. The salt/sodium content was an overload. My daughter who will eat anything even had a hard time eating the food. We always have a spa day and were told by our resort that they did not allow anyone under the age of 16 to get a massage. What they didn't inform us of is that the sister resort had the ability. So while we did get our spa day we did not get the full spa day experience because child massages were only done pool side so there was no access to the full spa facilities. We have never had that issue before. When it comes to the rooms while the room was fine the bathroom was less than ideal. Only one plug in. So if more than one person needs to get ready with appliances it isn't ideal. The pillows on the bed smelled like mildew and even when replaced the issue continued. Due to all the things listed especially the food I will not ever be going back to this resort and will definitely not recommend to others.

New Years is the best!

My husband and I went to enjoy NEW YEARS and his birthday and we had a blast. The NEW YEAR PARTY was out this world. ALL type of liquor you wanted the tables were full of Moet champagne. The Party was in La Hacienda there were over 1500 people, two stages, and the music was for all taste. The weather was not too hot but by the pool, there was always entretainment. The resort was clean and the personnel was friendly and kind. The night shows were really good, my favorite was the circus. Also, in la hacienda are several bars and a nightclub. My husband and I did not have to leave the resort for night entertainment because there were always something to do. We got to our room every night around 3 am. The Restaurants and the food are spectacular. We loved the resort. Also cheap Caribbean helped me every time I called and gave me specific directions. Thank you.

Wonderful all inclusive

I packed a lot into 4 days and it was perfect. I wanted culture fun food and friendly faces and got all of this. The room was wonderful. Bathroom was spacious and stocked with amenities. The beach was wonderfully maintained with perfect textured sand and water crystal turquoise and perfect temperature. Buffets were yummy and Staff was very friendly and helpful. Daniel - a very helpful bellman went out of his way to assist me. I highly recommend Norma and Sarah at the Spa.that was a big splurge but well worth the relaxation. Chichén Itzá was so very impressive and guides knowledgeable worth the long bus ride there and back. Tulum was minutes away and packed with people - really interesting area. The Xel Ha experience was one of the best I have had - enjoyed the water tube ride through the mangroves and beyond - water so clean filtered by the natural limestone there. Lots of activities and nature. One negative - the Amstar representatives were unavailable outside of 9-5 and this made it difficult to book the days excursions especially since I didn't arrive at the resort until 7:30 Sun night. I recommend if you have a tight timeframe to call and have them scheduled ahead with the phone rep. An unforgettable experience!
