4x so far!

We love this place. The kitchen and washing machine in the room sealed the deal for us when trying to decide locations. Housekeeping does a great job, rooms are spacious and clean. There are angel fish in the water right at the hotel beach, so you can snorkel right off the bat. We have stayed in other Aruba resorts, but keep coming back to this one.

Great beach vacation!!!!

We had a room in the older tower (18 years old) and were pleased with the room and layout!!! There was a kitchenette to cook every meal if wanted! The resort has gas grills for use by the pool areas and we did use them. We had two breath taking views from our room - one in the living room overlooking the sunrise and town, the second overlooking the sunset, ocean, and resort area! There was a beautiful terrace to sit on that had two chairs and a table and breathtaking views of the ocean and beach!!!! The front desk was helpful with local info like the best supermarket and taxi fares! We were within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and entertainment! Housekeeping did a great job daily and there were laundry facilities and an ice machine on the third floor! Everyone was friendly and accomodating! There were always plenty of beach chairs around the pool and beach area! There is a beautiful beach with a jetty you can walk out on right there! The water was great for renting a raft and lounging all day!!!! You can rent raft/loungers at the concierge or the jolly pirate hut on the beach! You can go on various water sports/activities for a fee with the concierge or hut on the beach! I was very happy at the divi Phoenix and would go back again!

would not return

we requested and were promised rooms next to each other. At check-in we were told we had adjoining rooms. When we got to our rooms, they were not adjoining and not next to each other, actually down two separate hallways. We were then told they could not relocate us to different rooms.(we are a family with young children so it was necessary for the parents to split between the two rooms, as the kids could not be left alone) The toilet in one of the rooms was broken for 3 of the 5 days we were there-so luckily we had a second room, though it was necessary to walk down two hallways to get to the other room to use the bathroom. The pool was nice in the morning, but by afternoon had many leaves and frequently cigarettes and paper floating in it. Really no restaurants to speak of-went off the resort every day. Loved Aruba, but would not return to Divi Phoenix-spend $300 or so extra and go to Radisson or the Marriott instead-no comparison!

Very Relaxing

We had a wonderful vacation in Aruba at the Divi Phoenix. The resort was very nice, rooms were spacious, service was excellent. Restaurants were OK - service was good though. Only downside - it was very difficult to get a beach umbrella (straw)- many people put their towels down to save the umbrella but didn't show up for hours. Resort says there is a one hour rule but it is not enforced. Still worth the trip - would definately go again.

What's to Love

The resort seems fresh and new because of its recent expansion. A huge free-form pool and 140 luxury suites are two reasons not to miss this one.

What We'd Change

Palm Beach has lots of high-rise hotels, which can detract from the beauty. Fortunately, the resort is at the end of the strip so it feels special.

Why You Should Go

The new luxury suites can't be beat at Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort. Aruba, Palm Beach and shared privileges with the other Divi resorts set this one apart.

Hotel Description

Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort: Discover Aruba's Palm Beach in Style

A steady breeze off the placid sea refreshes you. From your chaise lounge, you gaze down the brilliant-white stretch of renowned Palm Beach in front of the all-suite Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort. Everything is perfect. From year-round temperatures in the 80s to the steady breeze, and from sugar-white sand to the blue water, this is a piece of heaven on earth.

Perhaps sand and surf aren't your things. No worries. A recent hotel expansion includes a new free-form pool with a swim-up bar. Once you've got your ice-cold Blue Bayou or banana daiquiri, get out of the pool and slip into the large Jacuzzi nearby.

Dusk is a great time to enjoy a romantic dinner with your true love, especially at Sunset Beach Bistro. Tables on the beach are set among palm trees wrapped with twinkling lights. Start with a puff pastry filled with warm brie, then move on to potato-crusted grouper. Palmera rum sauce on the Arubian cashew cake is the perfect finish to a great meal.

Reliable trade winds make Aruba a great destination for windsurfing. If that's your sport, launch your rig from Palm Beach, right in front of Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort. The crystal-clear water is also great for snorkeling and diving. As a Divi guest you can choose from a remarkable array of activities at the five Divi resorts in Aruba. Hit the links at Divi Village Golf and Beach Resort or attend a tennis clinic at Divi Tamarijn. Just ask the full-service concierge.

Four new towers at Divi Aruba Phoenix Beach Resort provide unparalleled comfort. Top-of-the-line kitchens in these 140 luxury suites are equipped with stainless-steel appliances and granite countertops. Enjoy flat-screen TVs with DVD players while surrounded by tasteful modern decor.

Be sure to visit the National Archaeological Museum Aruba during your stay on the island. Directly across the street from your hotel is the Bubali Bird Sanctuary, where you can spot Caribbean coots, blue-winged teals and other distinctive tropical birds.
