Poor management equals a poor experience!
While this resort is indeed beautiful, it is by far the most poorly managed resort/hotel we have EVER stayed at (and we've stayed at many!). We reserved our room for the November trip back in May: a "garden pool" room, which we were very excited about. The day we checked in the room was NOT ready at 4 o'clock as it should have been, and we were not offered the "welcome drink" that others evidently received. When we finally got to the room, I immediately went out to the patio to check out the pool and spa. The pool was murky and cloudy. The spa had a few inches of water along with a LOT of dirt and pebbles! I called the front desk right then, and they told us there was a problem with the water pressure and pool levels and that it would be attended to. In the four days that we were there, it was NEVER attended to (even though we reminded them daily), and we did not get to enjoy our own private pool at all. They kept making excuse after excuse. On top of all this, while I was in the bathroom one day, standing in front of the mirror, the panel in the ceiling that allows access to the attic fell out and nearly hit me on the head!! The restaurants and bars were poorly attended to, as well. On our first day, the bar at the Serenity Pool had no pineapple juice to make Pina Coladas, and the young bartender didn't know how to make a lot of cocktails that would normally be seen at a tropical resort. The Carriage House had no pizza, even though it was highly touted to have great pizza. The beach bar ran out of tequila early in the day (before Noon), and wasn't going to be able to restock it any time soon. In addition, the elevator that went down to the beach wasn't working at least one day while we were there. At Bar 1887 we ordered drinks a few minutes before 6:00, when the Happy Hour prices ended, but because the waitress didn't enter the order until AFTER 6:00, we were charged full price. After four days, we checked into another room in one of the buildings with balconies facing the ocean. It was a beautiful view. But the air conditioner would only work on HIGH, and if you turned it down, there was no cooling. And there were no A/C vents in the bedroom at all! The beautiful jacuzzi tub took forever (half an hour) to fill due to the low water pressure. The power went out in the entire resort TWICE while we were there. Yes, there was a storm with a lot of wind, but I would think a place this large would have a backup generator. We talked to several other people staying at the resort and many of them had their own tales of woe. Elevators were not working in a couple of the buildings, which meant trudging up stairs with your luggage, and each time you returned to your room. Some people had no A/C for over 24 hours and there was no offer to move them to another room with working A/C. There were a lot of unhappy folks. The resort is very remote, and we knew this before we went, but I would not recommend this place under any circumstances, even though the staff were very friendly. There are way too many nice hotels on this beautiful island. Stay at one of those.

Very disappointing for the price. Dirty & tired
This hotel is terrible. The room (422) we were given was very disappointing, especially considering the high price ($800/night!). Dirty floors & curtains, sofa bed with metal springs poking through, black-out curtains on some but not all the windows, no one picks up at reception…. the list goes on.

Well worth a visit!
This was the 3rd visit to the Crane, and just gets better each time. The view of the ocean from the restaurant was stunning, great amenities within the resort, and the staff were very professional and friendly. As it's a bit further out from Bridgetown, a bus is available to take you there. The entertainment is of a very high standard, and the restaurants cater for different tastes and budgets.

Amazing
A truly amazing stay with extremely attentive staff, especially Sophia in reservations. The spa experience with Jaleesa and Rhea was exceptional.

Great Introduction Experience to The Craine!
Great facility and location. We had everything we wanted right there on The Craine compound. Centrally located and convenient to get to all of our business locations. Friendly and courteous staff met all our needs.
