  It’s good average for experience

  Satura Indian restaurant is the best of all .. chef Sanjeev is awesome .. very friendly.. the only food we liked was Indian restaurant.. On overall hotel .. not sure if it’s value for money unless you book star class .. if you are star class then you get a separate restaurant for breakfast better than the general one .. but some times the general buffet restaurant SO CAL is better for lunch .. Italian restaurant is the worst and the Japanese is the best.. Overall it’s an average hotel for family ..

  Not great at

  The positive aspects of this hotel experience were limited to the staff and beach. The remaining elements, including management, cleanliness, and food quality, were notably deficient. The dining experience was inferior to that of a two-star establishment. Improvement is contingent upon a shift in management's priorities. Royalton must address these issues promptly to mitigate potential legal action stemming from health concerns. As a travel agent, I will cease booking reservations for this property and advise my network of travel agents to do the same until the identified problems are rectified.

  Average at best

  This place is not 5*. It's barely 4* Il try to be as straight as I can as I want everyone to get a fair and balanced view of the place. I spent 12k on a trip for 5 from the UK and should have spent my money a little better There are some good bits to the place. Staff are generally lovely and helpful m. Some of the restaurants are nice (Japanese and grill) but the rest are bang average. We had a swim up room, not really worth the money as it's either too cold or overflowing due to lack of maintenance. Generally the pools are not very well maintained. If you want a subbed, get down before 6.30am and sit on them until the pool opens. If you're not a star class American expect to get treated like 2nd class citizens. They have their own section which you can upgrade too for another 2k on arrival. We politely declined. The beach is lovely, the seaweed! Not so nice! You can't swim on this beach, it's just too much of the weed and it's unmaintainable. So make sure you like the pool. The pool is loud during the day with music blaring and Zumba / Water aerobics going on. There's no escaping that unfortunately. The rooms are nice and clean, the water does smell funny! My wife was violently ill for 3 days..... not sure of the cause but apparently it's quite common. Trips are about £150 per head and because you're 50 mins from Cancun, they can take forever. So make sure you bring another couple of grand for the family if you intend to go out and about. It's all a bit of a cash grab now I'm afraid. We've been to Mexico three times and it's progressively got worse each time. Unfortunately this will be our last visit.

  Loved this place!

  We loved this place! From the check-in, they made us feel like superstars haha, with applause and everything, so cool! The room was super spacious, comfy, and very clean. The restaurants and the shows are really good! Food really surprised me, the Indian food was Bomb!!!!! 100% worth it. Also, the ice cream (so many flavours) and the pizza are great! Pools are divine! And the lazy river is totally a must since there can be some seaweed at the beach, but it was never an issue cause they clean it up constantly. Plus, the mixology cart is such a bonus! There's so much to do, like minigolf, cinema, trampolines, night shows, you really never get bored. Can't wait to be back!!!!

  July 2025 Star Class- Octavio and Dorian were excellent!!

  Overall my family had a great time at Planet Hollywood. Service was definitely the highlight of the trip!! Everyone was always willing to help with anything we needed. Octavio and Dorian were our star class butlers and went above and beyond to make sure we had an excellent vacation. We did had a major room issue on Day 3 but both Octavio and Dorian jump on it immediately and helped us navigate the situation. Also, shout out to Victor our butler at the cabana and Roger at lunch. They kept the drinks flowing and made sure we had a great time. Our only complaint is that the buildings definitely have some issues, which is unexpected given that this hotel is only 5 years old. Lots of small things. That’s why we gave it 4 out of 5. In the end, every vacation is what you make it. We decided when we arrived that we were going to have a good time and be friendly to everyone. In return, we got great service and a memorable vacation. Thanks again Octavio and Dorian!!
