What We Love

  • The easy walk to St. Lawrence Gap is one of our favorite features of this resort.
  • Barbados nightlife is just a short walk from the resort.
  • Kid's can enjoy a variety of great entertainment at the Kids' Club while parents unwind in the whirlpool.

Things to Know

  • The resort is only 15 minutes from Gold Coast Airport.
  • If you can, make your trip during turtle nesting season (April to November). It's an amazing chance to see endangered sea life.
  • The resort's onsite activities are great options for adults and families alike.
The stretch of Barbados' South Coast that is home to this resort isn't called "Turtle Beach" for nothin'. It's actually a sea-turtle nesting ground from April through November, and lucky visitors just might catch a glimpse of a hatchling as it scrambles toward the sea.

The wildlife, though, is only the first draw of this resort in Barbados. All-inclusive packages feature the hotel's three restaurants, two freshwater swimming pools and a boatload of water sports. Try your hand at windsurfing, or watch for tropical fish from a kayak or canoe. When you're ready to explore the surrounding town of Dover, make the three-minute walk to St. Lawrence Gap, or "The Gap" as locals like to call it, a hub of shops and vibrant nightlife.

An island vibe in a natural setting awaits you at this resort. Barbados' South Coast beach seems laid out just for your viewing pleasure from the private balcony of your artfully decorated room. When you arrive at the hotel, the open-air lobby welcomes you with fresh ocean breezes and a laid-back atmosphere. Each of the rooms is a suite, providing you with all the creature comforts of home. But you're not at home, you're on a Caribbean vacation, complete with beach concierge service bringing you fresh fruit and afternoon tea. And, when it's time for dinner, sample fine dining at Asiagos, the highest-rated Italian restaurant in all of Barbados.

Bringing a handful of kids along? The resort's Flying Fish Kids' Club is the perfect place for them to hang out and play beach cricket, table tennis and Nintendo Wii. Even "too-cool-for-school" teenagers like the foosball setup and pool table. And with the crackle of Caribbean energy in the air, those who join in the Kids' Club's educational and cultural activities will be too absorbed by their island surroundings to even realize they are learning. Meanwhile, it's playtime for the grown-ups as they relax in the whirlpool or embark on a rum distillery tour.

This hotel is All-Inclusive. Features include:
  • Room accommodations
  • Non-motorized water sports
  • All meals and most drinks
  • Access to the Kids' Club

    Lovely facilities, fabulous staff

We went for a week to Turtle Beach hotel. The hotel has lovely facilities and the place is kept spotless. Every single member of staff was so helpful and friendly, especially the guys who look after you around the pool, bringing drinks, fruit and lollies 👍👍 Food quality was excellent, drinks lovely. It was easy to book the a la carte restaurants and no limit how many times you could go to them. The only single criticism I could give is that our room’s bathroom was a bit dated and tired looking. However our room was lovely, large and kept immaculate by the housekeepers.

a week in the carribean sun

my wife and I booked a flop and drop week in the sun. Weather superb, 30/31 daily, rain on 2 mornings only (not bad for march.) Food plentiful (all buffet ) but poor choice. The food got worse as the week went by - but I think this was in line with the coronavirus situation. On the day we left people were being advised to leave.Staff were superb - but a note of interest is we found the elderly staff a little more grumpy. !!! Hotel very dated - but pleasant enough. One to tick off.

Holiday of a Lifetime Absolutely Superb

My three girlfriends and I stayed at Turtle Beach from 8th to 15th March 2020 to celebrate the year we all achieved the sensational age of 60! We had the best time, in the week before the world went crazy. It's so sad to think that the resort will be empty for a while. I hope you survive this period as I would definitely return here. The people were friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and varied, the entertainment was fun and I for one danced many nights away in the open air. The beach was beautiful, the pools clean, the hot pool sublime. The coffee and snacks cafe I adored! Excellent location too - I just wish we had two weeks to explore more. What a brilliant island Barbados is, so clean, so environmentally aware. Be safe everyone ;-)

Absolutely loved our stay at this hotel and in Barbados

Best holiday ever! Can't believe any of the terrible reviews. We had a great time and made some lifelong friends( hopes!) Our junior suite room was huge and we had the best ocean view!! There is a mini fridge in the room and lots of space. The bathroom was big too. All the staff were friendly and polite. Cleaners came in daily and you could sit out on the balcony while they cleaned if you were in the room when they knocked. The food was delicious and plentiful with wide range of choice . The fresh fruit salads and the omelettes cooked to order at breakfast were especially enjoyed! The entertainment was fairly low key which we liked but there were some great singers. Virgo being a great 5 girl band. The ice cream parlour and coffee shop were great to visit. Loved the 3 restaurants- Chelonia, Sandtrap and Asiagos. There is so much i could write tons about this place and the lovely memories but no one would have time to read it all. Loved loved loved Barbados and Turle Beach Resort.

Lovely little resort - doesn’t deserve the bad reviews

We stayed at Turtle beach for my daughter’s birthday for one week in room 207. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted and shown to our room quickly. We did have a few little issues with the room as it is in need of a little refurbishment but nothing that I could say ruined the holiday, any problems I had were dealt with in an professional and prompt manner and resolved swiftly. I don’t normally bother writing reviews but after seeing the negative reviews I feel compelled to let people know who are considering a stay here to ignore the bad reviews and see for yourself. My daughter and myself really enjoyed our stay here the beach is beautiful ,we spent every day on it and never felt unsafe, you need to also remember it is a public beach so the hotel can’t really be responsible for policing every person on it. Yes there are some people probably selling drugs but if you don’t acknowledged them they will ignore you and the hotel also has security if needed. The people who work at this hotel really are the key to its success as they are all relaxed in the roles they have, which makes them happy people. I have e travelled to many places over the years and I must say that the staff here are all very nice, professional, polite and extremely helpful. We never return to any holiday as there is so much to see in the world but we have both said we would like to go back to Turtle beach one day. if your looking for a relaxing holiday with a beautiful beach this is the place.
