Adult Family Vacation
We were two families for a total of 10 guests ages 21 - 59. ROOMS: Ocean front, main level on the east side of the resort. Quiet. Great access to the pool or the beach. Note: Jacuzzi Suite - The jacuzzi tub is between the sleeping area and the large bathroom. The arch opening of the tub is open to both rooms. This limits the privacy at the bathroom sink. There is a toilet closet and a large shower with a glass door. Great seating area inside and on the ocean front balcony! Large walk in closet! FOOD: Overall good buffet selection. Specialty restaurants each have their own atmosphere. Medano was our favourite for menu and view. ENTERTAINMENT: Something every night and family oriented. We enjoyed the Dance Party's at the Riu Santa Fe next door! The Santa Fe also has a small dance club and a sports bar. The musical trio that performs table side at dinner only does so for tips. POOLS: very clean, salt water, good temperature for cooling off after sitting in the sun! No problem getting lounge chairs. BEACH: BEAUTIFUL! "No Swim" but nice to sit in the sand and put your toes in! We saw dolphins a few times! STAFF: overall pretty good. I was not pleased with how the front desk handled my issue with the hotel bank machine and it wasn't until a tour guide overheard my converstion with them and suggested a possible soluiton that they did anything to help me! It took 4 days for this to get resolved when it could have been done in one and they knew it! LOCATION: THE VIEW IS AMAZING! THE BEACH IS BEAUTIFUL! You have to drive into town, the marina or to the shopping mall if those are places you want to go.
Our second time to this resort and still a winner. The restaurants have a nice atmosphere with great food and the views from the upper buffet restaurant is breathtaking. Most rooms have an ocean or partial ocean view however this time we has a view of the Santa fe which was not nice. At all. The pool areas are nice with lots of trees and foliage and everything is kept clean and tidy. The surrounding property has really been developed since our last stay and as a negative they were really pushing the pool parties at the Santa fe section. On the evenings they were holding a party they really didn’t bother to have any entertainment at the palace. One of the party nights the entertainment was a harpist. Yawn. (She was really good but not exactly entertainment) This wouldn’t stop us from returning, however, as everything else was amazing.
This resort is truly beautiful! The hotel is big, but not too big. Easy five minute walk from your room to the pool/beach. The Riu Palace is a very clean hotel. I literally witnessed the staff cleaning the hotel from head to toe daily. Room service was great! Very friendly staff! The food all around the resort was delicious. Lots of variety, however the only disappointment is that the à la carte dining were often closed in the evening when we wanted to go for dinner. The days that they were open, they were fantastic! Also the room service directly to your hotel room was pretty neat! The ocean was beautiful. Views were great! You could see a lot sitting in the sand, from manatees jumping out of the water, whales and fish! The water is very rough at the resort (unswimmable) unfortunately. The excursions around the area were pretty cool! Again, lots of variety! We did snorkelling (I don’t really recommend it due to the rough water), camel riding (yes, Los Cabos has camels!), and whale shark diving! Shopping is great around the area in town. We chose to walk along the beachfront each time we went, but you can take a taxi/uber. Lots of neat little shops for souvenirs and such to bring home with you at the end of your trip. Overall great experience at the Riu Palace, Cabos San Lucas.

Great place, great service, very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. So great to have all inclusive. No one ever had a hand out or bugging you to buy something. So nice especially since you go off site and there are hawkers everywhere. The people are great. Any time we needed anything we called front desk and promptly were taken care of. Beautiful grounds and so well maintained. We enjoyed the restaurants as well as the well stocked buffets. We hope to get back for winter sunshine next year.
Really enjoyed this resort, it was very clean, excellent food, staff very friendly, and pools were really nice. Lots of things to do. It was a big resort, but it did not feel that way, very personable and enjoyable.
