    Ticked all our boxes!

This is the first Caribbean hotel of the many we have visited which we knew we would return as it ticks so many boxes. Last year was our first visit and this was our second and again we loved every minute. Check in much faster as we were repeaters which was wonderful given the long journey and many hours on the go. Lovely room which was bright and airy. Fabulous comfortable bed and a superb pillow menu. Very quiet, so slept like logs. Has everything one could need with fresh water and ice bucket filled daily. Bed turndown at night. Spotless and wonderful daily service. Masses of lovely REN shampoos, soaps and lotions. Shower okay pressure. Great air conditioning and wonderful to return to cool room. WiFi most of time okay but at busy times did drop out. Better in room than balcony. Lovely bottle of champagne in room as repeat quests was appreciated! Three great restaurants and all with delicious food and menus which changed every few days. Two require reservations. Also beach BBQ which was popular. One evening and one lunch. We opted out as not to our taste but others loved! Fabulous breakfast and gorgeous super efficient egg lady, who cooked to order with speed. Lunch the same with masses of choices and delicious. Dinners no matter where you ate was the same. So nice to have the wine bottle left on the table as it saved having to catch a waiters eye. Actually the food overall was one of the many reason we returned and credit due to all the chefs. Masses of comfortable sun loungers and never a problem finding one in the many areas around the beautiful gardens, pool areas or on the beach. Super long beach both directions and lovely bare foot walks. Sea safe and my husband loved his many swims but often a little choppy for me but you two pools. At Rendezvous there is a full programme of activities all day long but absolutely no pressure to participate. There is also a wonderful spa. At night always live entertainment and some dancing if you wished. We had some fun and much laughter as we mixed with other guests! Nobody sitting on gadgets during meals thank goodness! As you have read we love this hotel which is so special. One of its biggest assets must be the amazing, friendly and delightful staff! Every single one you meet is a delight. It may be unfair but we feel only right to mention a few who really enhanced our stay Kenisa at reception who dealt with my complicated restaurant booking with patience and charm Tristia - a Terrace joy Geo our beach hero Sean and Gilbert- Champagne Bar charmers! Cheriffe - mother of twin boys and a delight Harry and Matilda Trysting Place Steven, Kingsley, Yannick and Stretch who all kept us topped up with wine and not forgetting Ashley the wonderful happy dancing waiter/ barman. A huge thanks to all of them and every other member of staff who make this hotel so special. The main reason you have so many repeat guests! Our hearts go out to every one of you as we know the hotel is closed due to this awful virus and we know life will be tough. But things will change and you will all see light at end of this dark tunnel. Would love a return visit but who knows if we will but loads of others will! Huge thanks A & J room 210 arrived 29th Feb 2020

    Fabulous holiday

I only need to do a short review of this hotel. We had a fabulous time, the staff, Stretch, Denson, Frances, Veronica to name but a few were all amazing. They could not do enough for us. We had the best time and will be returning as soon as we can. Thank you all, see you very soon! Neil and Laura

    Lovely relaxing holiday

I am probably just repeating what everyone else says, but this is a wonderful relaxing hotel set on a beautiful beach. You get a lovely welcome, explaining everything. Here you can do as little or as much as you want. They have a full day of activities, every day and no pressure to join in. We had a garden room which was perfect, and kept very clean, plenty of space for clothes, mini fridge, iron/board, coffee/tea dressing gowns and slippers. Ren toiletries, and best of all a very large comfy bed. Food was amazing, the only problem was choosing what to have. All the restaurants were very good. And the staff were always there to top up your glass, drinks were also good. We found all the staff friendly and approachable. My husband did a couple of dives and took the hobbie cat out which he really enjoyed and said the guys were great and helpful. The grounds and gardens were lovely and it never felt crowded. Very easy to get a bus outside to either Rodney Bay or Castries. We want to thank everyone who made this such a special holiday and we hope to come back.

    Amazing place to stay

Front the minute you arrive you were greeted with a smile . Staff are amazing and friendly, nothing to much trouble. Small boutique couples only hotel , never felt crowded . Not a lot of WiFi mostly in room and a few hot spots , but you not here to text but talk . Rooms We had a garden room top floor over looking the secret garden river , which the river is nice to walk around only waist deep at its deepest . Lovely and clean and well decorated. No tv . Coffee machine , kettle , ice in bucket and water in fridge , and if you want fresh milk they will bring it to your room . Plenty of REN toiletries in bathroom , plus dressing gown and slippers . Restaurant The Terrace . Buffet for breakfast and lunch . Evenings are either buffet or Table d'hote . Ladies to wear elegant , men collared shirts long trousers or tailored shorts . Malabar . You don't need to book for lunch time here , but it gets a lot in early, always fresh fish here caught daily. We spent many happy lunch time here eating and watching the water sports .Evening you need to book , smart for the ladies and collared shirt and smart shorts for the men . You can take off your shoes and view the ocean, shoes are put in a bag for you and they will brush of you feet for you before putting shoes on . The Trysting Place . Wow this is something special. Elegant for the ladies , men collared shirt and long trousers and closed toes shoes . They are strict on this as they should be , very elegant restaurant. Food is amazing in all restaurants and service brilliant. The last two restaurants I mentioned change their menu every three days which is good . Beach . Lovely and so is the pool , didn't use the swim up bar . They bring around water every 20 minutes or so , then juice , ice pops and about 11am fruit kebab . More water though out the day, they walk around with trays of cocktails in the afternoon. You definitely won't dehydrated. Three times a week you can have fresh coconut water , man there chopping the tops off and the staff brings them around for you .Lots of activity going on though out the day . Hubby tried archery , and several water sports . Small shop on site which was nice to visit . The bar at the beach is open until at 10 pm I think, but used mostly for the staff to use at the Malabar. Nice bar in main terrace . But you must try the champagne bar , from 7/8 pm . Different champagne each night , they will tell you about the area it comes from and the mixture of grape varieties .Gilbert plays on the piano until 8 the back later . We used to go back in to here after Our meal it was very quiet them , usually only six or more people in here so nice. There is entertainment in the terrace area each night . Also in the terrace is coffee and tea, plus biscuits, fruit and sometimes cake 24/7 , in case your peckish . But at 4pm each afternoon they put on more food , sandwiches, cake, biscuits, hot saviours snacks ...even cook you crepes . Trips We went on the Ariel tram up the rain forest very good and worth the money , very interesting trip , definitely a must. Also half day to see the volcano, the Pitons and general tour around . Both trips you get your own driver . We went with tui and trips are not cheap , but it's the same for the other tour company. We walked to Castries , nice 20 minute walk . But there's is an organised walk to there if you don't want to go on your own . Easy to get a bus there to. Got a bus to Rodney bay , easy to do . But when I say bus it's a mini bus , 1 $ US dollar each each way . You pay on leaving to the driver through the front passenger window . We walked to the light house along the road that runs parallel to the beach , very steep at the end , but worth it for the views . You can get to it part way along the beach , but we found it earlier on the road . There is a airport close , but for light aircraft not a problem we didn't think . Also a cemetery between the road and beach next to the hotel , but either no problem. All in all fantastic place to stay so relaxing , will be back

A perfect blend of activity and relaxation

We chose St Lucia as the destination for our honeymoon because of the temperate climate and areas of interest on the island. We chose Rendezvous in particular because we had heard that the staff were superb and the amenities offered relaxation and a range of on and off-site activities. There are many excellent resorts in St Lucia, but we were specifically looking for an adults-only resort which tipped the balance in favour of Rendezvous. We booked through Virgin and they made a note that this was our honeymoon so when at the resort we were eligible for a free couple’s massage at the idyllic looking spa in the water garden. The resort also upgraded our room from a Garden Room to an Seaside Suite which was just incredible. The room opened straight out from our patio to the pool bar area, and was decorated/equipped to a very high standard. There was always a wide choice of food and drink available, and the resort is well laid out so that we never felt cramped. NB pay attention to the dress code as I observed staff (politely) informing guests what was expected particularly in The Trysting Place. The food we had was exceptional. The menus rotated daily/3 daily depending on the venue. The omelette station was a popular choice (I do hope Veronica is still in charge), and at the buffet we often stocked up on banana bread and muffins etc to see us through until the afternoon. The swim-up bar was another highlight, the staff were so friendly and happy to chat long into the evenings. Rum mixology was great fun (and I’m not even a rum fan). Through our rep and also through the resort team we were able to book onto excursions around the island (Hotel Chocolat/Soufriere/Marigot Bay/Sugar Beach). We also joined a group walking trip into Castries which is easily accessible. For anyone who might be put off by the proximity of the nearby airport - don’t be - we only noticed planes 2 or 3 times when at the beach and even then it just served to put the scale of the scenery in context. In terms of safety, all beaches in St Lucia are unrestricted and open to the public so you get a few non-residents walking nearby. The staff advised us where was safe and where to exercise caution but this was never a real concern for us. Mosquitos weren’t really an issue for us, I took B12 and Incognito repellent and avoided getting bitten. If you are concerned however reception are able to arrange nets and can fumigate areas around rooms. I would recommend this resort to couples of all ages, whether it’s relaxation or for adventure. I would love to return to Rendezvous again given the opportunity.
