Great quick getaway
We went for a quick, 3 day birthday trip in December 2019. Loved the vibe at this property! Landscaping and decor was really cute. The service was excellent- everyone was friendly, professional and made us feel welcome! We were upgraded to a jacuzzi room, and were sent birthday cake and champagne which was a really nice touch. Special thanks to Elena, who checked in with us thought our stay and made sure we had everything we needed. Daily breakfast at the poolside restaurant was also delicious. Would stay again!
Terrible Customer Service for Booking - Do Not use Melia Booking Agents!
We have stayed at the ME Cabo resort before (in December 2016) and I will say that the resort was beautiful, clean and had friendly staff. We enjoyed the resort back then. We were supposed to take a large family trip in December 2019, but due to unforeseen health issues and our family's circumstances, we decided to cancel our trip - all booked only using Melia's call-in booking agents. We booked on a late on a December Sunday night, and the following Monday morning we called to quickly cancel due to our family's abrupt circumstances. At the time of booking (over the phone), Melia's agents swiftly took all of our credit card information, ran the transactions and completed all booking -before we were even made aware of any cancellation policies by the agent. As we called the next day to cancel our reservation, the Melia group and booking services were terrible! The did not provide any assistance or understanding of the cancellation policies. The agents said my booking was non-refundable and said there was nothing they could do. After calling multiple times, we were finally told that the refunds for a reservation are solely at the discretion of the hotel's manager (so basically that is depending on his/her mood). Apparently our "reason" for cancelling our reservation wasn't considered as an allowable reason for any type of a refund. Our flights were reimbursed as outlined by a 24-hour grace period, which we learned about AFTER booking since we had to go online and search for the policies (thank you to American Airlines), but Melia management and customer service refused. We weren't offered any credit by Melia, no grace period, there was no accountability, and no understanding or willingness to work with us. It is now June 2020 and we are still trying to recover from the booking losses. Please do not use Melia's call-in booking agents!!! It will be hearsay all the way to the managers, and they will not help, only take your money!
Beware if you want a refund due to hotel closures
Was planning to visit this resort for my bachelorette. They closed the hotel and did not communicate this to us via email!!! We had to reach out to understand what was happening. The hotel is CLOSED and they will not offer a refund, only reschedule. If you book now, you get the flexibility of a free cancellation policy but tough luck to everyone else.
Never been to a place with more genuine and hardworking staff
I would not be writing this review if it wasn't for Peter, and Sergio's fantastic work. I had lost my phone and wallet halfway into my trip and was looking for it until my last day, when I had lost all hope, as the front desk said they couldn't find anything. I was sitting in front of the entrance when Sergio came up to me and I told him my story. He then got Peter, who both stayed with me for hours doing everything they can to help me, and ultimately I got my phone back. They completely saved me with their hard work and I thank them and the ME sincerely.
Transportation from Cabo airport to ME CABO (we used CAPE TRANSERS, and why you should too)
I had a lovely staying in ME CABO with my high school friends, we spent a memorable weekend in this amazing resort, everything was perfect, the only thing that got us thinking was how to get there without paying a fortune, one of my friends looked for nearby transportation services and found Cape Transfers, the rate was low, lower than we expected, we thought it would cost us more to get to a far location as ME CABO, there were plenty of options in cape transfers website to get there from economy shuttle to limousines, we decided to book online the suburban service it was easy and it was a relief they accept PayPal, Thanks ME CABO and thank you CAPE TRANSFERS for the fantastic experience!
