Above and Beyond
Outstanding is my starting word! This was my second time visiting Mahekal and it was head and shoulders better than the first - they just keep getting better and better. The Management and Front Desk staff, every so gracious and accommodating. Never got tired of the genuine smiles and friendly service. The dinning was so good we didn't want to go into town. Olas, Jose, Nichoas, Jeremias, Andres, Kimberly, Juan, and Karen (my favorite) were all so good to us. Hats off to them! We felt special each and everyday!
Viva Playa del Carmen
We hope to come back sometime. Food and sercice and stay was extraordinary excellent and we recommend this hotel to our friends. Special thanks to Vianney, Luis, Elias, Ruben, Jorge and all the others at the Las Olas./ Rgds
Such an amazing place! Great service, extremely friendly staff, great food, clean and perfect for families!! In about a week, I have been to the Revive Spa twice. The treatments and service are outstanding. Both Marsol and Nayeli were great and very friendly. It is also a 3 minutes walk from Fifth Avenue (A must see pedestrian avenue). But most of all, the staff makes you feel like home! Your experience is definitely their no. 1 priority.
We've visited Mahekal Beach Resort eight times in the past ten years; it has always been good and steadily gets better. We fly out of Denver and touch down in Cancun. With a transfer from the airport in Cancun to Mahekal, we can breakfast at home in the morning and enjoy dinner at Mahekal in the evening. We've explored the Yucatan over the years, renting cars and staying in various towns and cities, but we keep coming back to Mahekal. The staff is great at Mahekal; many of them have worked at the resort longer than we have been visiting. We especially like to see out old friends including Ignacio, Jose, Marcos, Angel, Mariano, the irrepressible Rogelio, and our new friends Mario, Zuri, and Viarnay. They make Mahekal a very special place indeed. The accommodations are wonderful, food is great (we had breakfast, dinner, and drinks at Fuego in addition to meals in the other two resort restaurants), and the structures and grounds are well-maintained. Mahekal is safe with round-the-clock security at the entrance and on the beach and also patrolling the resort. The only downside we have ever experienced was external: Extremely loud all-night electronic dance music from a festival at the nearby Mamita's Beach Club a couple of years ago. (Mahekal staff was aware of the problem and apologetic but had no control over Mamita's.) Enjoy two-for-one Happy Hour drinks from 5 to 6 pm!
Mahekal Beach Vacation
The staff could not have been more friendly and the hotel is so much more beautiful than any others in the area. The service and care was absolutely phenomenal. The food was delicious. Overall we could not have been more pleased with our decision to stay at Mahekal.
