Rafael is the best!!
Amazing time at the Grand Palladium in Cancun. One person that made my stay a million times better was one of the cart drivers, Rafael. He was a very out-going person who was enthusiastic every single day. Having conversations with him everyday was extremely fun, as I got to learn some spanish along with him. Thanks Rafael!
This place was practically brand new. With loads of restaurants to choose from and great service and staff it made this stay probably one of the best ive had in Mexico. We opted for a room with private pool. We were surprised to find out that we got a room on the end and had a huge section of the private pool to ourselves. Upon arriving they will try and sell you a massage or two, but nothing that we are not used to while travelling. The grounds were beautiful with lots of options for seating, never had to wake up early for a chair. The water isnt the bluest in the gulf but everything else here made up for it. We only went to the beach one day, bring flip flops, the walk on the wharf to get out there was hot on your feet. The booze is all good stuff, esp the tequila. I would definitely recommend and would stay again.
We really enjoyed the property we would definitely be back again . Hotel is new and very nicely decorated . We enjoyed the boat rides which was a bit different experience than other hotels I’ve stayed . Gym is beautiful if that’s something that’s important to you . Only thing that we would suggest that there would be more rotations of foods during dinner. People were very nice and friendly , they would bring me fresh mango for breakfast since it wasn’t something that was at the buffet, I thought that was very nice and going extra mile . Big 5* for us.
Amazing place for Family Holiday
Almost newly built resort at the costa mujeres area around 40 minute drive from the International airport of Cancun. Arrival at the reception with welcome drinks, which lead to a golf cart ride to your room. Ride took us trough the resort area and this is the time when you realize the huge size of the resort. Stunning grounds. Troughout our holiday, staff took our family and our 4 year-old as we were valued customers even if the time wasn't the best for travel community workers.. (covid roaming around the globe) Few special mentions has to be addressed towards the program specialists Norbert and Thomas for making our time fly at the pool. Pool area waitress Yajaira was amazingly sunny person and always made our day very special with her amazing humour and care for our smallest. She knew our drinks and schedule so we didn't even have to ask for a refill after a day or two! Kids club was a hit with our 4 year-old. Arts, crafts a lot of playing outdoors and at the pool with nice touch from the Kids Club workers Yunuem, Sandra and Valeria. She just noted that I have to send regards to you all and thanks for making her the bracelets! Best dinner place from all the exceptional restaurants in the resort are was the Japanese Sushi place with the chef Jorge whose love for food can be seen from the sushi plates he assembles. Kudos for making our experience 10/10! There were times when there were room for improvement from reception customer service and for some of the meals on the A la Carte menus in few of the restaurants, but this is possibly because the overall exceeds all your expectations so that becomes the norm very fast. 9,9/10 for the entire stay and especially taking in consideration the situation with Covid19. The measures needed were put in place(information regarding hand washing, sanitizers available throughout etc.) without compromising the holiday spirit. As if this was normal and it actually felt like the pandemic didn't affect our holiday even one bit. Hopefully we get to stay at your location soon again!
We had a wonderful week at this resort and would definitely go back. Our main issue was the lack of an adult pool, but given the pool and beach options we were still happy. The beach can be windy and there was some seaweed, but the pools are gorgeous for days that the beach wasn't good. This is a huge resort but the layout makes it feel like you go into "town" where the a la carte restaurants are. Our favorite spots were Poseiden for lunch and Italian for dinner. We went to every one except Mexican. The Indian was bland and the steakhouse was okay if you picked the right cut of meat. The coffee shop should be added to every single resort that Grand Palladium owns, it was an absolutely lovely spot either midday or after dinner. Service was fantastic everywhere and the alcohol selection was good. Overall this is a stunning resort. In general we were pleasantly surprised at how well run this resort is given its massive size.
