  • Resort privileges at Royal Solaris Cancun - check out the mouthwatering pizzas served by the pool and the kids will love the waterpark.
  • The intimate plazas, or "Mexican squares", where you can spend some quiet time relaxing, enjoying a drink and embracing that, yes, you are actually on vacay.
  • The spa where you can melt into stress-smashing massages, the Jacuzzi, steam room, and more. Pampering Central.
  • Every Thursday, you can watch exotic belly dancers in the lobby whose sensual moves channel women from antiquity.
  • You can enjoy hours of doing nothing on their gorgeous terraces. (That's what getaways are for, right?)
  • Dining at the sublime Bogavante restaurant as you gaze at azure water lapping a few feet away.

    My experience

Came here for a week, incredible experience. I went with my sister and our girl friend. The drinks and room are amazing and the place in general is super clean even the bathrooms near the pools are constantly being cleaned! The staff are all so sweet and friendly. Best part has to be hands down the entertainment group! Leo, Ibrahim, ysrael , nina, chris and Grecia!❤️ they truly made our trip! From 9/10 am to 11 or wtv pm they kept us entertained and truly became friends. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back☺️

Loved it, we will be back!

I went with my sister and a friend ( June 2024) and we LOVED our time there! The restore is well maintained, staff are great and helpful! My sister hurt herself and they kept following up and checking with her which was nice! The best are the entertainment team, they were so great and funny, they truly make the trip. Shoutout to Yzrael and his team ( Leo, Ibrahim, Chris, Rubin, Nina and every single other team member) u guys were wonderful, miss them already and we will see you next trip for sure!

    Not a resort

Bullet points to save time.. - Shuttle sits in the roundabout directly in front of the lobby doors all day and night but is somehow unavailable for guests to use for local transport (restaurant, mall) and will not be sent to you at the airport without 3 days notice. - The food here is edible, sometimes. I have been served a raw steak twice (not rare, literally raw, untouched by heat), and the buffet has items which will confound you when compared with the label (see photos of the refried beans and "egg whites" for reference). Only the personal pizzas by the pool were good. - The servers, buffet attendants, and entertainment staff were all very nice and helpful, unfortunately the same cannot be said about the front desk. All of the males working on front desk staff were dismissive and seemed bothered by any request or question. For example, you can't play pool, ping pong, or foosball without offering your ID to receive either the ping pong ball or the billard set up. On a horrible weather occassion like ours, these are the only things to do. We played one morning at 8am waiting for a tour, and then the next day were told the billiards items aren't available until 530. When I mentioned we played the day before in the morning, I was offered a recommendation to go outside to the poolside towel stand to ask for the items myself. 1st, why are billiards items at the pool side when both tables are in the lobby? 2nd, if a guest is asking surely there is a way to request them by phone. I am not a stuck up person, I'd walk to get them if not for the 30mph winds and sideways rain. One more example, another occasion we found both attendants (the same two males as the billiard issue) were busy with a line roughly 6-7 groups long. As these young men were never in a hurry to help or even friendly, it took forever to move the line. Several other staff peeked out from the back but chose to ignore the guests waiting. - 2 of our 5 nights were sleepless thanks to the noise level. I would be willing to bet the hallway has 0 sound proofing as any words spoken or in our case screamed would echo up and down loudly, as if the noise was from your bedside, so from about 11-1230, once activities ended and guests returned to their rooms, it was a never ending cacophony while guests made their way to bed. I only called to report noise around 130 am, two separate nights, when the same group of guests were singing and blasting music from a speaker on the terrace. It took 40 minutes the first night and over an hour the second to get a manager to leave the lobby or wherever and walk directly out to the terrace. Maybe a total of 50 steps. - Lastly, the pool areas are not in good shape. Quick example, in a hot tub made to fit 30 ppl (if I remember the capacity sign correctly), only 3 of the bubbles/jets worked the entire 5 days. One day, the water wasn't even warm. TLDR: This resort is not a resort, but in my opinion a hotel striving to charge more but provide less. The policies in place are not geared towards creating an easy or relaxing environment for guests. There are many things listed as activities that are not actually offered at the resort but instead require you to leave to find them elsewhere (kayaks, paddle boats, and more), and dont expect the shuttle to take you! You'll need a taxi for 300 pesos to take you 5 or maybe 10 min up the road. This was our first time visiting Cancun and an "all-inclusice resort" and I regret very much selecting this for our stay (even tried to leave after our 2nd night to find an actual all inclusive resort). My advice is to choose this place carefully.

    2nd Home

This resort makes you feel like you are home! From the moment you step off the shuttle till the dreadful moment of getting your wristband cut off; Everyone here remembers your face, your order, your name! No matter who you walk by you get a smile or a hello! Couldn’t have a better experience! There isn’t a single staff member that doesn’t give the family vibe. From the waiters to housekeeping to the pool staff! Everyone here works hard day in and day out to make your vacation a breeze! And then you meet the entertainment staff! They learn so much about you! They treat you so special and it’s amazing to find family like them! Nina was amazing from the first day! Always had a smile on and even made me some bracelets showing her amazing skills! Grecia is an absolute sweetheart! Made the entire family feel welcomed from the first hello! 👋🏼 Ruben told us all about his pet pigs and gave us some magic shows! Yzrael and Abe always kept us laughing and entertained the whole time! They would make a point to say good morning in the cafe and always came over to say hello while at the pool! And then there is Chris!! The biggest smile you can find and always interacting with the guests! It was hard to say goodbye to my new family but know I’ll be seeing them soon! Thank you to everyone at GR for making me feel welcomed home again!!!
