Excellence is Excelente!!
This was out first time at Punta Cana Excellence and I cannot say enough about our experience. The staff at this resort and spa are some of the happiest and friendliest people I have come across at any resort. We chose the swim up suite, our room was nicely appointed, very clean and well taken care of the whole time we were there. John at the pool bar took great care of us. The restaurants served excellent food, hospitality plus and the wait staff was very attentive. The spa has specials every day, so I would recommend a service or two, relax and enjoy. We will definately be back next year, we have always gone to Sandals but their special prices have not been so special, our money went much further at Punta Cana Excellence! Book and enjoy, you won't be disappointed.
Excellence like returning home
I have been to this hotel on many occasions and thought I would write this review before the holiday season gets into full swing even if it is a bit late, I stopped at the EPC for three weeks amidst a certain amount of damage caused to the Dominican Republic’s tourist industry, the reports of people dying from various problems on Facebook and other internet sources was let me tell you was totally fake news, malicious scaremongering by people who had a gain, gain agenda, it really put the fear of god into thousands of American tourists, I was very surprised when I arrived for my 3 week holiday just how laid back everyone was, business as normal, the staff were as amazing and warm as they always are at this beautiful hotel, when we arrived we were greeted with the customary glass of champagne, then we were taken to reception and greeted by the most friendly and helpful reception anywhere, even the managers were very approachable Marlon, Manuela and their team Verenice , Edisson, Reynaldo,Noris! We were then taken to our room no, 3211 a beautiful room with a pool and sea view, our room had just recently been modernised, it was perfect with fresh fruit and a bottle of iced champagne to greet us ! The mini bar was full stocked with beers soft drinks and sweets, there was also 4 bottles of spirits which could be tailored to your desires should you like a drink! We then unpacked and went to the beach, where we found it very relaxing whilst being served with drinks and food, every day we had Juan Carlos ask if everything was ok and did we need anything ! Then it was time for our evening meal, I have to say the restaurants are beautiful, our favourites were the French and the Grill the mangers of these two restaurants were particularly on the ball and worked very hard to keep guests totally happy, Miguel and Ramon, excellent service and beautiful food on every occasion! Also the breakfast and dinner service was buffet style unlike the evening meal which was waiter served, the breakfast and dinner had a massive selection of beautiful foods on offer, something for everyone, again the service was fantastic with a special mention forJulio, Maria and Joel, also the hostesses that will escort you to your seat and help you if required Katie and Julisa not to forget Hines who went out of her way to help whenever she could, the coffee shop was amazing and Sergio was hard working and always a friendly face, also I must mention my friend Ramon who was in charge of stocking our mini bar and his team who were never found wanting! The bars at the hotel were great and efficient with Altagracia who is such an amazing personality and friend to all also Dionisio who works very hard to serve all, I will also mention Yarisbelle who was and is always helpful to your holidays enjoyment! The nightly shows and entertainment is very good and one of the entertainment staff worked tirelessly she is called Enervina ! I know I have mentioned a lot of staff names but this is just a mark of how friendly, helpful and hardworking the people at this hotel are ! I have been to Jamaica but find the Dominican Republic far more friendly more attention to detail and a lot better value for money, needless to say I had a wonderful holiday, it does not look like I will get there due to COVID however I have already booked for next year 2021, I am an optimist! This place is amazing I recommend it, give it a try or miss out! Take care everyone!
Excellence is excellent
We enjoyed 4 excellent days in this nice hotel. We had a wonderful room with a splendid view over the lovely garden, the pool and the sea. There was always a lot of wind and the waves were quite high so that we couldn' t swim in the sea. Unfortunatley we had to leave the hotel after 4 days because of Covid-19.
Stay at the Excellence Punta Cana, you will not be dissappointed!
Cannot say enough about how amazing our stay was. It was our second time at this resort and it was even better than the first time! We were treated like family. The service was impeccable in every area of the resort. The food was amazing in all 7 of the restaurants. All the staff at the resort is like family and they go above and beyond to make your stay the best ever!
Great hotel, very friendly staff
We had a very nice stay in the hotel. Positive: Beautiful big suite, the staff, specially the second in command, the dep. general manager Amilcar gave us the red carpet treatment!! He did everything possible, to make our stay a great one! I also would like to mention the friendliness and the professional service of the following staff: Junior, Magnarestaurant Ines, Pool Gustavo, Chez Isabel restaurant Marcos, Club Manager Amlcar, deputy General Manager Orlando, cook the kitchen Ledelkis, waitress the kitchen Jose miquel, magna restaurant Yoel, magna and lobster house Jhourdan, Magna Club Mitherlina, house keeping Ariel, room Service Eliezer, magna and chez isabelle Please give them a big muchas gracias Unfortunately during the period we were in Punta Cana, Corona started to spread around the world, we mentioned to the general manager that she should inform the staff not to shake hands with the guest, which is very friendly custom of the people of Dom Rep, but in times of Corona absolutely intolerable. Unfortunately it was apparently not advised to the staff as it did not change. We also asked for disinfection fluid for the public areas, restaurants etc, nothing really changed.
