    Two Mum family - a disadvantage even if you're Silver member. StarPrestige ignores your occassion

    An adults only resort. We are silver members and thought would get very nice service being members and letting the Club know in advance that we were celebrating our 15th anniversary and 1st trip in 13 years without our kids. On arrival, no one was there from the Club, took a while for someone to welcome us. Given the basic room (as members as we pay a hefty annual fee) we are assured better rooms (special Club Prestige rooms so their sales people say). On the beach in the Member area, Cabanas were dirty and the towel guy was less there serving members and more on his phone. Several emails to memberservices and 2 days later the director and staff come by to apologize. We were then offered some perks (flowers on our bed one night) as we were celebrating an anniversary. By the way, on this same trip the night before we were leaving, the Club had a special members only meet & greet as aparently they were also honouring a couple who were celebrating 50th of the husband. Not sure what it is, perhaps because we are a two-mom family and women, and bi-racial; so we get the bais and cold shoulder that other guests are not privvy to. The resort is very nice, food is very nice, but seems like the Club has a lot more members then they did back in 2018 when we joined. Certainly notice a decline in service and questioning if the membership is worth it at all as we get hassled right from booking and when we get there. Kills the joy of being on vacation. I am writing this review as after this trip we have experienced very bad service at Quetzel in Dec/2023 and continuously hassled by Member Service when trying to book, they are always trying to find an out instead of honouring the contract and keeping members happy.

    Beautiful Week!

    My husband and I stayed at Coral Level and had a fabulous week at the resort. We loved our room and ocean-view balcony, all the different dining options, and the incredible beauty of the beach and Caribbean Sea. We truly valued the friendliness of all the staff members; we felt well-cared for all week! We especially appreciated our beach valet, Alvin. He was friendly, helpful, and always had a smile on his face. He made our beach vacation extra enjoyable!

    Great vacation at the Coral Level

    My husband and I visited this resort from May 25-June 1st. It’s a beautiful property, and they do a really nice job of keeping everything clean and tidy. When we first arrived, a nice gentleman took us on a golf cart ride to the Coral Level building to check in. We checked in pretty quickly, and there was a nice younger guy there helping us, and he explained everything thoroughly. We were told our room would be ready in about 30 minutes, so we were wanting to go get something to eat. Behind us, there was a guy waiting to take us to a table and go over the map of the facility and talk about Iberostar. It took me a minute to figure out that it was a sales pitch to commit to a meeting with someone for a timeshare. We politely said no multiple times, and refused any free resort credits, massages, etc. This was the most frustrating part for us. We were tired from traveling, hungry, and the last thing we wanted to do was talk about timeshares. You have to be very assertive, because they make it seem like you have to commit. Just say no, because they want you to have a credit card ready when you meet with the timeshare people for breakfast. From that point on everything was great. The service at the buffet for breakfast was great, and the food was also good. We would usually come in for lunch as well, and enjoyed the buffet options at that time too. There’s a snack shack outside in the pool area that’s also good, with options like hamburgers, quesadillas, etc. The pool service was really good. The staff was friendly and they learned guests’ names quickly. The bartenders at the swim up bar were awesome, especially Fernando! The entertainment team did a nice job of keeping everyone from getting bored, and they made the day more fun. We participated in the beach volleyball and water aerobics/aqua bikes, which I highly recommend! The room was very nice and spacious. The guy who cleaned it every day was so friendly and willing to help as well. The fridge was stocked regularly with cokes, beer, wine, etc., and there were snacks on the desk (peanuts and pretzels). The balcony was very nice also, and included a jet tub. The restaurants were all pretty good. The hibachi restaurant is the only one that requires reservations, so plan accordingly. Your concierge can set that up for you. The ice cream truffle from the Italian restaurant is to die for; we ended up eating there two nights just for the dessert! The evening entertainment was pretty good. Coral Level guests could go to the selection side and attend different shows, but the Coral Level section offered shows as well. One of our favorite entertainment team members was Adan, who was informative and also went out of his way to include us and make sure we had a great time. I would definitely visit an Iberostar again in the future. I downloaded the app while I was there, and it had a schedule every day and told me the times and locations of all the shows/pool sports. It also had all of the restaurants and menus in there. Definitely download it, it was useful.

    Review of employee and hotel

    Adan from entertainment was amazing, 10/10 recommend. The hotel and service were also very amazing. You won’t regret coming here for vacation. They are extremely attentive, knowledgeable and friendly, drinks and food were also really good.

    Wonderful first experience

    This was my first time in cancun and Coral level Iberostar was a great first experience. The service was fantastic especially Pedro at the pool. We especially love the brazilian steak night. The shows were surprisingly entertaining and well done. The best part for us was how friendly and helpful the staff was
